A real MC romance. I can't stand it when a book is advertised as an MC book but isn't. This book definately is. A hardcore biker, Kade Cross, is the president of the Tidal Knights MC located in Evergreen, a town outside of Seattle. He had to grow up tough. His alcoholic father really when drunk, would wave a gun around threatening Kade. Growing up in a trailer park made him and his best friend Duster, the target of bullies and trouble makers. But Kade and Duster never backed down from anything or anyone, no matter their size. They left the trailer park behind and started the Tidal Knights MC together. Which is now the largest and baddest MC in Seattle. Kade never shows fear or for that fact never shows any emotion or feeling. He always stood tall. He felt if he showed emotion, it would appear as a weakness in front of his men. But never say never. Lana Thompson, a bikini barista at Twin Peaks in Bremerton. She is working to save money for college for her creative writing classes. She hopes to make a career from writing. She lives with her alcoholic mother and as for her father, he is a repeat offender and is in out of jail. When Kade sees a customer manhandling Lana, he steps in and intimidates the man for laying his hand on her. Lana introduces herself and Kade asks her out on a date. She agrees to have him pick her up after work. They go to a dive bar that Kade likes. It serves the best burgers. They start to get to know each other and eventually realize they want to hook up. They end up at his hotel for a night of mind blowing s*x. Several weeks later neither one of them can forget the other. But Lana is greeted by morning sickness and her good friend Kelly realizes Lana may be pregnant before she does. They blow off work to go to the pharmacy. Lana uses a four-pregnancy test to be sure. It confirms that she is pregnant. She is having Kade's baby and has decided to keep it. When they get back to work, they are fired for abandoning their jobs. As they are leaving, Kade arrives and finds out Lana just lost her job. He offers her a place at the clubhouse rent free with the stipulation she is to be there for him 24/7. She exercises her autonomy telling Kade she won't give that up. Kelly is not liking this situation at all. But Lana agrees to go with him. Lana still has not told Kade about the pregnancy but realizes Kade needs her. Kade is going through a lot of trauma right now. When a gun buying deal with the Italians goes down badly, in the gunfire he loses his best friend and MC VP Duster. Kade cannot show any emotional weakness. But he knows he need Lana more now than ever. Although, Kade and Lana become closer, they will not admit it. Now that the MC is at war and under attack by the Italians, everyone's life is in danger. This story is action packed. The MC fights to survive. The lose several key members and their is a mole in the club. So much is going on. This is a good read. I received an Advanced Readers Copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This one is a real and amazing MC tale from start to finish, and one of the best MC Romances I have read this year – and that is really saying something since there have been a string of AWESOME MC romances published this year! As with every book, author Kathryn Thomas has used eloquent prose to present and pull her readers into the Tidal Knights MC. Her characters are as dynamic as they are flawed, and yet when coupled, they support and perfect each other in the most amazing ways. In “RAW SPEED,” Lana and Kade are working hard to better their lives. She is a bikini barista who is taking classes aimed to help her realize her dream of becoming a published writer. Kade, along with his best friend Duster, has pulled himself out of the trailer park and built the Tidal Knights, MCs which is one of the toughest clubs now ruling the streets of Seattle. When Lana and Kade meet, the chemistry is combustible and the consequence, inevitable. (However, readers beware – a fan & cool beverage are a must, yet these measures may not be enough – so a cold shower may be required!) What they become for each other when disaster seems to strike, and devastating losses follow is amazing to experience, and may just leave readers in awe. While there is a promised HEA, I must admit that this reader/reviewer could not imagine how that could be attained with all they faced, but it happened. How it happened is what readers will have to find out when they purchase their copies of “RAW SPEED,” TODAY! I was given an ARC copy of “RAW SPEED” to prepare this honest voluntary review and must give it the 5++ rating it has so richly earned! ("+" indicates I wish I could give more recommendation STARS) This one is going into the FAVORITES collection on my Kindle, because it is THAT GOOD! Happy pages! 😉

A captivating extraordinary and gripping romantic read that is action packed, quick moving and flowed smoothly with intense hot sizzling chemistry and sizzling steam. The characters were well developed and interesting with emotionally losing several key characters with its twists and turns. Kade and Duster pulled themselves out of the trailer parks from horrible tough childhoods, founding and running the Tidal Knights MC the toughest club around running the streets of Seattle out of Evergreen were their clubhouse was.  Lana is bikini barista who is taking classes saving to get her 3rd year college writing done.  They meet as Kade rescues her from a customer who has gone to far and gropes her. They agree to go out to be just a one night stand but the connection is do strong they are drawn to each other, but she finds she became pregnant and holds onto that information instead of telling him.  An overall exciting fun read that had me glued to the story from the beginning till the end in this voluntarily read and reviewed standalone ARC. I trully enjoy this authors writting style and exciting action packed steamy stories and contiue to look for more.

RAW SPEED

I really enjoyed this book. The storyline was gripping and exciting, and kept me thoroughly entertained. The characters were very likable and had an undeniable connection and the chemistry between them was energetic and intense. Once I started reading this book I found I couldn’t put it down till it was finished. I love MC reads and this book was no different. A copy was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book with my honest opinion.

This is the third book in the Tidal Knights MC Series.

This is Kade and Lana’s book. Kade is the president of the MC Club, Lana is struggling financially to finish college and works as a barista. Kade saves her from an abusive customer. They have a one night stand and Lana falls pregnant. With Kade having a lot going on, he needs Lana. She doesn’t tell him about the pregnancy straight away. The club is in a war, lives are lost. Can Kade and Lana get through everything and have a HEA?

I wasn't too sure in the first few chapters but it did grow on me the idea of a bikini wearing barista was a bit too much for me to take in at first but as I said it sort of grew on me. When she was being harassed by a customer who should come to her rescue but a biker with a reputation of being a bad boy, she soon realised that he wasn't all that she thought and not to believe all that she had heard about him

Good story of romance and motorcycle club life. Lana falls hard after what was supposed to be a one night stand with Kade. He is the President of the club and fights off the mafia. The book was short and easy reading, but well written. I wanted Kelly/Terry to fall for a Tidal Knight too. Needed more about the tough, sassy lady. Why Kelly/Terry? I don't know. Her name changed in the story.

Kade is the president of the Tidal Knights and has lost lots of people who were close to him. He then helps Lana, who is a bikini wearing drive through barista. This meeting starts sparks flying and the story begins. Great book not my favourite from this author but i enjoyed reading.

Ok book but has errors

I liked the story but having the errors of her friend name change back and forth through the book made keeping up a bit annoying. Would have gave it more stars if it stayed consistent throughout the story.

Heart tugging, raw, emotional. Lana is working her way thru school. Kade is trying to stay alive. Deception, the loss of club members. Kade doesn't do commitment. Things go scary wrong. Will they live? Life is what you make of it.

Good storyline but the author couldn’t decide on Lana’s best friends name. It started out as Kelly but ended up being Terry. Confused at first.
