I must start off by saying that I've been loving all the recent books that Nia Forrester has been putting out and I loved this series. I spent my vacation unable to put this series down. This is the story of Reese and Dani, the book starts out with a throwback 90s Before Sunrise vibe (Great Movie). Dani and Reese go on a never ending coffee date that neither one wants to end. The author takes you on a journey to learning about both characters- their fears, desires and past hurts. Reese was a boy who became a man due to suffering from a tragedy. While he's learned from that tragedy, he still has some growing to do and Dani is that support system that encourages him to reach his potential. My favorite character was Dani because she wasn't just some young foolish woman. She was on her grown woman tip but still had this vulnerability and was able to express her insecurities. I also enjoyed that Dani wasn't an instagram model and that Reese wasn't even feeling her until he got to know her and realized how beautiful she was as a person. He was used to IG models who always wanted something from him but learned that there could be so much more to a relationship. I loved the love that the two discovered and their journey. It was like you were watching a real couple who gave you a sneak peak into their lives. This is definitely a 5 star read. My only request is that Jennifer gets a story, she truly deserves a happy ending. I also need the background on her epic ghosting plan.
This book had such a grown up contemporary edge to it. Nia manages to allow this read to remain sweet even as it goes deep. These characters are complex and their relationships are multifaceted without dragging the lightheartedness of romance down into grit and excessive drama. Issues from the non traditional family to average girl meets gorgeous jock are swirled together to make the main characters empathetic as well as frustrating. This was quite an enjoyable incremental read over the past year or more as each novella was released.
I loved this book so much in spite of not really LOVING either of the main characters. I found Rand's possessiveness to be gross and I did not love Dani's self-deprecation. BUT, having said that, I think they were just such fully-fleshed out, whole characters that it really felt like being in their world. The way Nia Forrester writes, from the major to the mundane is just so, so good - I really could not wait to keep reading. Fantastic read.

I did not read these shorts as they were released. I don’t particularly care for shorts or novellas, having read all of Nia Forresters books, I didn’t see how she could accomplish it. Forrester truly develops her characters and story lines. Everything is detailed so vividly that you feel as if you personally know the characters, this is no different. It is heartwarming, agonizing and just a very well written book.
Rand and Dani are that cute awkward couple, who those close to them can see they belong together. But their individual past hurts and insecurities keep them from wholly embracing how truly good they can be together and for each other, without first dealing with unnecessary drama.
The emotional growth over the 4 novellas pushes the story to its inevitable HEA conclusion and you can't help but root for both Rand and Dani to sort through the noise and come back to their love.
This was such a strong and compelling read. I loved how long it was and told a complete story when the title would make you believe it was going to be a short story. Nia got it all right! Danielle voice was so strong and soothing and Rand was smart enough to recognize and treasure. Eva, what a surprise.. Good read..
Often after watching movies and reading books I think, “I wonder how they’re doing now?” Nia has a way of filling in the holes without belaboring the story. She gives you the answers you need and allows you to experience the trials and triumphs of relationships. A la carte, despite its title is a full meal. Really enjoyed this story.
It’s was nice to revisit Rand and Dani getting a glimpse at how far they have come with their relationship. They always manage to maneuver through the toughest of sitting and come out on top as a couple I loved that about them. Loved them to pieces and gonna miss their little family. Enjoyed immensely and can’t wait for more
Getting to read the story in one book was as great idea. It was nice to get to see Randall and Danielle again. Little Rocket was yet another treat. Excellent story.
I love Dani and Rand so much. The bonus story was just what I needed to complete Dani and Rand’s story. When I’m having a book drought I like to read the Coffee Series, because it makes me feel good to see characters grow and develop into better people.
I have followed Danielle and Rand's story from Coffee Date. I have enjoyed seeing their personal growth as well as the growth of their love and relationship. I look forward to more great reads from Ms. Forrester
Never a dull moment. I found this book this morning. I had previously read all of the books except the last one. I love Rand and Dani but that may be a bias statement because I love all Nia's books.
I really enjoyed this novel. The sweet love of Randall and Danielle. Nia wove such a complete and undeniable instant connection between the two that I literally felt it and imagined the sparks that flew between them while reading.
This collection of”the shorts” was not short. It was a necessary investment in order to reach the hoped for but far from certain ending. Friends and family are a fantastic supporting cast but it’s still all about Dani and Rand and if they’re meant to be...
I have done nothing but read the last few days because this series was so good! I couldn’t stop at one book so I finally finished and it was most enjoyable.
The author did a good job tying everything together. I loved being able to experience the characters maturity. I am still mad at Rand for letting Alexa convince him to go out. She is the worst kind of ho
All the books combined made a hell of a read. Rand and Danielle have just been added to favorite characters. I love how love is found unexpectedly. Fan 4life
We have followed Rand and Dani`s story sine the beginning and their initial coffee date. It was nice re-reading their story altogether in this complete series.
I truly enjoyed Rocket and Dani's story and journey from their first meeting to the end. Definitely recommend any book from this Author. Well done again.
