Math Inspectors 5: The Case of the Forgotten Mine [Kindle Unlimited] — Daniel Kenney, Emily Boever (18 titled chapters) December 17-18, 2019

This was a longer read than the previous four books, but still very worth it. There wasn’t much math mystery to it. Once in the middle and once at the end. This was the longest mystery the Math Inspectors have solved yet, but it was a good one.

It starts on a train ride and ends at a mine. And the “Meanwhile” chapter had a real twist at the end. Who is this “Boss” that keeps being mentioned? And how is he linked to the Math Inspectors? Something new in the “Do You Have What it Takes to be a Math Inspector” chapter: 4 “Games” with 5 word problems read out over the first 3 games. Give them a whirl.

Another delightful read that can be enjoyed by all ages.

A few grammatical errors in this one (period a space removed; words that run together.) Overall a great read.

Four stars.
