He risked it all to save her from the clutches of evil.
She crushed his heart and walked away.

Nitara has spent her life waiting for Jinn to return to her, but when he finally does, it's far too late. Daegal, the evil warlock who cursed the pair and turned them to djinn, has been defeated, but the effects of his dirty work are far from gone.

Now she has to return to a place that holds her heart hostage. Things aren't what they seem. Her time away has weakened her position and now she is faced with a choice: fight or flee. However, fleeing just isn't an option.

Tyrellis is the unrightful ruler of Reverie, land of the vampires, and because of Daegal, he now possesses control over Nitara. As long as she is by his side, his rule will last unchallenged. While she is away his enemies act to stand against him.

Will Nitara save Tyrellis from the vampires who seek to dethrone him or will she let him fall in hopes of her gaining own freedom? Will Jinn forgive her for breaking his heart?

Born and raised in Chicago, IL, writing has always been a passion for Jessica Cage. She dabbles in artistic creations of all sorts but at the end of the day, it's the pen that her hand itches to hold. Jessica had never considered following her dream to be a writer because she was told far too often "There is no money in writing." So she chose the path most often traveled. During pregnancy she asked herself an important question. How would she be able to inspire her unborn son to follow his dreams and reach for the stars, if she never had the guts to do it herself? Jessica decided to take a risk and unleash the plethora of characters and their crazy adventurous worlds that had previously existed only in her mind, into the realm of readers. She did this with hopes to inspire not only her son but herself. Inviting the world to tag along on her journey to become the writer she has always wanted to be. She hopes to continue writing and bringing her signature Caged Fantasies to readers everywhere.

All the wonderfully, strong and bold characters from the previous book is back along with some new ones and they have not pulled any punches as they discover that they have to embark on another rescue mission only there is a bit of problem…they have to convince Jinn to help. This emotionally gripping story is about Nitara whom the gang rescued from Daegal in the first book and who crushed Jinn’s heart, is in the clutches of the King of Reverie, the land of vampires. Readers can’t help but get caught up in all the intrigue, twists and thrills that take place throughout the story as everyone realizes that not everything is as it seems. The fast paced plot keeps readers on the edge of their seat as multiple plots takes place which guarantees that readers won’t find a dull moment, especially as enemies come from unexpected directions. The dialogue is witty and adds to the entertainment of this story immensely as all of the characters are once again fighting together. To add sweetness to the story, several of the characters are involved in romances or trying to at least and there is also some red hot passion to heat up the pages. But the relationship between Nitara and Jinn will tug at heart strings as Jinn tries not to let his broken heart get in the way of their mission. Once again the author has brought her story to vivid life that sparks the imagination and draws readers in and enthralls until the very end.

*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.

As book two in this series I could not wait to get my hands on it after the ending to book one and I just had to meet this woman we heard so much about. I have to say she does not disappoint even if she is fighting her way to freedom so she can be with her man. Full of great world building and enough twists to keep you guessing. Perfect for fans of the genre. I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.

Jessica Cage’s Nitara (Djinn Rebellion Book 2) picks up where the cliffhanger in book 1, Jinn, left off and provides the sane supercharged action as the predecessor. This is a great story in a fascinating post-apocalypse world where all the things that go bump in the night aren’t hiding out any more but rather are competing for domination. Into this world are Jinn, a mighty Djinn, and Nitara who he’d thought long dead. She’s the focus of this second book. Her situation isn’t so great and what happens is full of misunderstanding, treachery, and a wild ride of a tale that’s well worth the read. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises - the book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, and it is easy to highly recommend.

This time it's Nitara's story and what a story it was. Full of action, fighting, idiots, and magic, I was really entertained as I ended up laughing through most of it. I loved watching Nitara's character grow and become what she could be as crazy begat crazy. I totally rooted for her to survive and hopefully break free. And the vampires were a riot. Loved the ending and the setup for another adventure. Liked the twists and turns and how the I got to see more of this crazy world. And the secondary characters were a blast as I loved and hated them all as much as they deserved. Plus Jinn and co. were back too. I loved this story for its ups and downs and sideways ways.

This book was awesome! This is the seconded in the series and after the first one I was left hanging big time! I appreciate that the big “Why!?” Was answered quickly in the seconded book without ruining the story of the seconded. These books are fast paced and action packed. You feel the store moving forward at a steady pace. One thing I love about the way Jessica cage writes is that you find out things about characters as they tell you. You don’t get someone’s entire back story all at once so it leaves you wanting more interaction so you can find out more info! I ordered The whole series after reading this one!

Kinda slow at times but ...

I just finished Nitara, book two in the Djinn series a few minutes ago. I'm not greatest writer when it comes to reviews as I dont like giving out spoilers so...
Book Two starts wuth Jinn once again having to go rescue his wife from someone keeping her captive..only this time he's not doing it with hope at reuniting with his one true love. Tag along with him, Mike, Briar and a few new friends as the enter Reverie, the vampire capitol. If you enjoyed book one then you'll like this one too! Have fun!! 💜

Snappy, natural and witty dialogue is the life of this book. You just flow into the room with these characters. This writer has a gift for getting you INTO the story. Not into like, I’m really enjoying reading this .... but into, like being there. Several times I had to look up to make sure of my surroundings. But I absolutely love the dialogue between the characters. You feel the friendships, frustrations and anger that they emote like you’re that person. Well done!

The journey continues...

This book was a great continuation of Jinn and Nitara’s story. I enjoyed getting a glimpse into Nitara’s world in the land of vampires and the journey that led to the climatic ending. The author has crafted out such an interesting world and I find myself drawn into each page of the story. The action was on par with the first book of the series and I look forward to the next part of the saga.

Nitara is a strong willed, pig headed, wickedly awesome woman. I went into Nitara hoping that the reason she left Jinn the way she did was to protect him. In this book you get to know her and what she has been through. You get a glimpse further into the lives of these great characters. There's action, betrayal, love, and companionship. I love the world that Ms. Cage has created with characters that you can't help but want to get to know more about.

Nitara crushed Jinn's heart when she left but she knew she needed to protect him. But who will protect her when her fate is sealed with another.

Another great paranormal read where the paranormal creatures come together again to save one of their own. We are introduced to vampires in this book.

Why read this book:
- True Love
-Betrayal
-Villans
- True Friendship
- Plenty of action

I can't wait to see what happens with the rest of the group.

Dang I hope this is the last of Nitara being caught up in something. I'm really enjoying this series and meeting the cast of characters. This unique bunch people have a wonderful friendship and it's only getting stronger. I'm ready to know where Praia is and exactly what happened to get her there. Another good book.

So after that cliffhanger from book one, I am okay. Again Jinn has to rescue his wife, but this time we get his beautiful wife as the lead. Old characters join new characters for a journey to get Nitara back. Once again the book was a very good read and I enjoyed it. Come through Miss Cage! Looking forward to the next one.

Great read!!!

I love the black fantasy that Jessica Cage gives us. She covers all the fantasy characters and I don't think I ever read books about djinn. I am gaining through her books like popcorn. One after the other and I haven't got bored once.

I listened to the audio. I'm not a huge fan of the narrator. It felt very flat.

Overall, it was a good story. I liked that there wasn't a full recap of book one. Just a simple reminder ("since the last time he tried to save her" type of thing).
