It's Halloween, but this collection of hot and steamy scenes is all treat and no trick. Put the candy away and get sticky with us with this compilation of all new exclusive scenes from twenty of your favorite Reverse Harem authors.
L.A. Boruff lives in East Tennessee with her husband, three children, and an ever growing number of cats. She loves reading, watching TV, and procrastinating by browsing Facebook. L.A.’s passions include vampires, food, and listening to heavy metal music. She once won a Harry Potter trivia contest based on the books, and lost one based on the movies. She has two bands on her bucket list that she still hasn’t seen: AC/DC and Alice Cooper. Feel free to send tickets.
I purchased this anthology knowing I’ll not be reading it cover to cover. I was mostly interested in Queen takes Twins & it was a happy surprise to see a few other stories that piqued my curiosity. It’s important to note most of the stories in this series seem to be deleted scenes or short prequels.
Queen takes Twins was entirely too short but a special treat for those of us who are fans of Joel’s Sue Burkhart’s “Their Vampire Queen series. If you’ve read the series you would’ve had an inkling the twins may be a bit kinky. I’m happy to report this entertaining short scene gives us a closer look at what to expect. 2.5 stars
Emma Dean is a new to me author & after reading Bay Coven’s Samhain Ball she’s managed to make me curious about her Raven Assassin & the raccoon shifters with this prequel. I’m inclined to pick up Emily’s story when it’s published. I give this short story 3 stars.
I’m a big fan of Kristen Banet’s Redemption series. Sawyer is a kick ass ex assassin who easily tops my lists of favorite h in the RH genre. This short story features Quinn one of my favorite characters in the series. Quinn’s introduction to Halloween was an adrenaline filled one for the books. 4 stars
I’m familiar with Skye Mackinnon’s The Drowning series, so when I saw this story I thought I’d give it a go. This was a 👎 1 star for me. Sorry but giving birth is not sexy.
Wolf-fully Theirs by Marisa’s Farrar was a story about an unsuspecting collage student learning a few truths about herself at a Halloween party. To be fair I should disclose I’m rarely a fan of sex scenes that fade to black or dubious consent (sexual or paranormal). I like my stories to feel like everything is consensual on all sides. I didn’t feel that was the case In this story so I’m giving it 2 stars. That said the world is interesting & the author plans to turn the short story into a full length novel in 2019. I may keep an eye out for it.
I read a few pages & purposely skipped Cecilia Randall’s Blue’s Treat bc I own the first book in the series & didn’t want any spoilers.
While looking through the handy table of contents the title Something Wicked immediately caught my attention. This was one of the first stories I read & turns out it’s from a male’s POV & he’s determined to seduce himself a cougar. 🍑 4 eager stars
K.T. Stranger’s Beautiful Monster screams Stockholm syndrome to me. This is a dark story about finding sexual release in dire straits. Again I’m rarely a fan of dubious consent but this story manages to fascinate me. 3.5 solid stars I’d be very interested in learning more about the sexually Naïve Phoenix & the demons that force pleasure on her (in the most devious ways) I’ll be looking into this author’s work.
The entire time I read Tabatha Barretts desire in their eyes I kept hearing Khia’s explicit version of my neck my back. If you’re familiar with that song it tells you all the important parts in this story. 2.5 #1nightstand turned relationship stars
ARC received in exchange for an honest review - thank you!
Loved K.T. Strange's little story about Max and the bad boys who watch over her, but it was WAY too short. Same can be said for most of the stories in here. R.M. Walker's contribution was a little less polished than her usual goodness, which again I ascribe to the limited length, but worth a read!
This review is just for "Polar Dream" by Skye MacKinnon. Once I have read the other stories, I will update my review. "Polar Dream" is a very short story (one chapter) about a dream Isla has while she is pregnant. It’s a very interesting and steamy dream. I hope the next full-length novel comes out soon, I love Ms. MacKinnon’s stories.
I liked "Between the Sheets" more. This book had some stories I couldn't read due to spoilers, which was irritating.
That said, I quite enjoyed the "Literary Yours" bonus scene, and will be looking for that series. I also liked "A Work in Progress", LOVED "Dragon Ever After" (I ARC reviewed that series and loved every one of them!), "Polar Dream", "Madame X", and "Queen Takes Twins" (LOVE that series!).
I thought "Goddess of the Ball" was okay. Same with "The Demon's Last Kiss" (I'm intrigued by the world), "Desire in Their Eyes" (again, intrigued), "Something Wicked", and "Halloween Madness".
In regards to "Beautiful Monsters", I've read the Phoenixcry series and am very interested in hearing more about what all of that was. Not sure exactly what I thought of it, but intrigued, and disturbed, too?
Out of the 29 stories in the anthology, I liked 12 or so. A few I wasn't super interested in reading, and there were some marked as having spoilers. I give this anthology 3 stars.
I read the story Queen Takes Twins, which is a novella in Burkhart's Vampire Queen series. I have never read the series, but I definitely want to after reading this reverse harem short story. If you haven't read the series, this is definitely a good place to start.
The Vampire Queen has her Twins, and she always takes good care of them. Through the Blood bond, she can tell what they want and/or need, and they are also connected to her. This makes their time together very interesting, as they can all completely place their trust in each other.
Even though this is a short story, I actually got to know all the characters pretty well. This reverse harem story definitely has more female dominance than most, and it also has more emotions than most. Neither of these is a bad thing.
I would definitely recommend this anthology, and Queen Takes Twins specifically, to anyone who enjoys reverse harem stories and who are looking for a Halloween twist to the genre.
I received an advance copy of this book and this is my voluntary review.
I only read Queen Takes Twins by Joely Sue Burkhart. It was everything I could have hoped for. I have been reading her Queen series and it's a stunning epic. I didn't know what else she could come up with in this series, but she surprised in all the right ways.all
I'm not normally crazy about anthologies with single scenes such as this one. I always feel shorted and want more. It's really my problem, as this story is edited well. I don't feel shorted because I devoured Burkhardt's Queen series and this story fit right in. I gasped when I read the first few pages. I'm not going to say what I rezd, but I was wowed big time. It was a sensitive subject, dealt with grace and empathy by the characters.I could see how Burkhardt tried hard to give authenticity to the scene. She clearly loves these characters as she puts them through their paces. This is a lovely addition to the series.
Wow!! A series of hot and steamy reverse harem stories. I admit I had to skim over a few as they had spoilers for books I haven't yet but the ones I did read......well, definately not sure why I haven't read more reverse harem before
Halloween Between the Sheets is an anthology of reverse harem romance short stories. These short stories are from a variety of some of my favorite authors and some promising new ones that have piqued my interest. Each of these stories are a few pages long, but are quick to turn up the heat and get steamy real fast. Some of these authors give us glimpses of their paranormal worlds and characters, while others give us a welcoming balance of regular humans who have struck the perfect balance of all of them being together happily. Of course, as the title of this anthology says all of these stories take place on Halloween. From a witch who is told she must find – a ghost, a vampire and a cat shifter to avoid a terrible curse, to a single mom who is able to enjoy her Halloween night with her three lovers, these stories are sure to leave you feeling more than a little hot and bothered. If you love reverse harem novels, enjoy lots of steam then this anthology is absolutely perfect for you and it’s a great addition to have for Halloween or just a night you want something more exciting to read. Be prepared though, these stories move quickly, but they all have a more than satisfying ending. I am rating this book 5 out of 5 stars. These stories are short, steamy, perfectly Halloween and absolutely enjoyable from start to finish. So check out some of your favorite authors in this anthology and discover some new budding authors as well.
A steamy hot bonus scene between Ella and her husbands the Halloween after their wedding, Ella learns it pays to tease her husbands! I loved seeing Ella and her guys again in such a lovely hot bonus scene
Spells and Curses by Laura Greenwood
Very steamy short story based within he paranormal council series, a fortune given to Cecilia has unexpected repercussions of a steamy nature. Well written and steamy this is an awesome read
Goddess of the ball by Erica Andrews
A lovely Halloween treat, steamy and sensual I look forward to reading more about Resh and her men
Tribe Protector (chosen series) by Stacy Jones
An alternative POV from a scene in book three, taken from Drraks point of view, it is lovely to read it from his side, I can’t say too much as I don’t want to leave any spoilers but this made me so happy, i love this series
Night of passion by Bea Paige
What a wonderful passionate sexy Halloween extra scene for a fabulous series, I loved the series and this sensual story is icing on the cake
Polar Dream by Skye MacKinnon
Yay my beloved bears are back and it’s a raunchy winters morning, a beautiful addition to the drowning series, beautifully written and, of course, beautiful bears
Blues Treat by Cecilia Randell
I love this series and this is a hot and steamy Halloween treat! I think I have missed a book somewhere so I feel a re-read coming in, if you have not read this series I recommend that you try it
Madame x by Riley Walker
This is an extremely steamy hot short reverse harem read, I absolutely loved this story, hot hot hot
Mildred by RM Walker
A well thought out romantic short story, it is exciting and tender and very well written paranormal reverse harem read
There are to many stories for me to review them All and a few I skipped as I have not read the relevent series and I don’t want to read any spoilers (there were not too many for me to skip)
This is a steamy read, a great introduction to new authors and excellent companion stories for others that I have read. A very enjoyable read and I highly recommend
I received an advanced/review copy of this book. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content and honesty of my review.
This was a fun anthology filled with quick reads that have plenty of heat. Several of my favorite reverse harem authors were a part of this anthology, so I was pretty psyched to read each of their contributions.
I genuinely enjoyed each story that I read, though I did skip a couple simply for spoiler reasons; I haven't read the series that its a part of, so I didn't want to spoil the series for myself before I had a chance to read it ;)
I specifically wanted to write a review on Julia Clarke's part in the anthology, Under Her Spell. If you've followed my reviews at all, whether here or on GoodReads, then you know that I am a huge fan of Julia Clarke. I loved reading this POV from Adrian, one of the characters from Charms of Attraction; one of Katerina's men. I always joke that when I read a really good RH, I can never decide which guy is my favorite--which is what makes it such a good thing that I don't have to choose :) But I have to say ... reading this story from Adrian's POV sure racketed him right up there for me. The way he views Katerina is one of the sweetest things I have ever had the pleasure of reading. Part of what I loved so much about this story is somehow, Ms. Clarke managed to show the love that's shared in this little family, particularly the love Adrian has for Katerina. It's simultaneously sweet and sexy, and it makes a lovely addition to their story.
Other than just this story, there are plenty of sweet and sexy stories to choose from in this anthology. If you're in the mood for lots of variety and fast-paced stories that get straight to the point, then you'll love this collection! :)
I am still going through the stories but what I have read so far is exciting and steamy. I love the short stories of the series I am already reading and it is fun to see some of these characters in s new light! It is great to read some of these characters just having fun and pushing relationships further. Highly recommended combination of stories by some very talented authors!
Spells and Curses - Laura Greenwood This is a quick, steamy and exciting read! I loved the sassy attitude of the FMC straight away and what an interesting concept to throw in a ghost to the mix! Would love to see these characters in a full length book and get to know them a bit more.
Polar dream - Skye Mackinnon It is great to read about all Isla and her guys just before their baby is borne! This book is very quick read but enough to set the scene for what is coming in the series! There were some great laugh out loud moments in this read and I am excited to read more of this series!
A Sawyer Halloween- Kristen Banet Wow..Quinn and Sawyer are great in this little snippet about them both. I love these two together and it is great to read them just enjoying themselves! This is very hot, quick read that leaves you wanting to read the series again! Cannot wait for the next book!
This anthology is a fabulous streamy collection of 20 stories. Each story will leave you wanting more (in more ways than one 😉), so its lucky that there’s plenty more to come from these characters and authors.
Laura Greenwood: Spells and Curses According to a fortune, Cecilia needs to find a ghost, a vampire and a cat shifter before midnight, otherwise something bad will happen. Well lucky for her all 3 are at the club she’s at, and are all willing to comply with her needs. Spells and Curses has a fast paced storyline with things heating up straight away. This is a standalone from the Paranormal Council Universe.
Skye MacKinnon: Polar Dream Just because Isla has a walrus for a belly doesn’t mean that she doesn’t get a little sexy time in Polar Dreams. After a steamy dream, her four bear shifter will certainly help her, that is until.... This short and instantly steamy story will leave you wanting more of The Drowning Series.
Julia Clarke: Under Her Spell It’s the wedding of Kati and her men - Declan, Adrian and Elias. The POV is from Adrian in this perfect steamy tease of the events of the wedding night. I’d recommend reading Time of Enchantment first and then Under Her Spell.
KT Strange: Beautiful Monsters Max is hiding secrets and this dark but slightly twisted short story delves into just what they are. Beautiful Monsters is a POV from Max and a little side step from Phoenixrise series.
Marie Robinson: All Souls Night Maeve and her harem need to renew the balance between life and death. All Souls Night is a sexy short story from the Magical Kingdoms series.
L.A. Boruff: Literary Yours Bonus Scene After a Halloween party things really heat up for Ellie and her men - Arch, Grey and Wes. Each of the men have their own skill set and preferences, which Ellie loves.
Joely Sue Burkhart: Queen Takes Twins This is Shara, Itztli and Tlacel story, when the brothers share their queen for a night of pleasure.
Marissa Farrar: Wolf-fully Theirs Ava and her friends join a Halloween party in the forest which turns out to be with the Helsing men.
Quinn Arthurs: A Work in Progress -A Halloween Treat It’s Halloween night and Emily is on her after the kids are at their friends places. But with some rather unexpected visitors arriving, she’s in for a magical night with Max, Alex and Troy. A great teaser of what’s to come in this contemporary RH story.
This is a collection of hot and steamy short stories, with a Halloween twist :) These are my faves from the collection:
Spells & Curses - Laura Greenwood Cecilia needs to find a ghost, a vamp, and a cat shifter before midnight...or else.. what ensues is a hot and steamy evening...
A Work in Progress - Quinn Arthurs This an excerpt of Arthurs upcoming release. The relationship between Emmy and her 3 guys is already in place, and they are having a steamy Halloween...
A Night of Passion - Bea Paige This is a Brothers Freed short story. I loved the series and getting to visit with Louisa and her guys as they find themselves at a unique party was fun - and hot :)
Polar Dream - Skye Mackinnon This is a short story that takes place between the first 2 books in the Drowning series. Isla is pregnant and is enjoying some time with her bears.
Magical Ghost - Jalisco A. Burwell This is a bonus scene from Burwell’s Biomystic Security series. This story seems to take place in the future, and I enjoyed getting a glimpse of where the series is headed with their relationships.
A Sawyer Halloween - Kristen Banet Sawyer. Quinn. Need I say more :) This is a smoking hot story. I was also glad to a little of Sombra, but Quinn is so awesome :)
I picked up the anthology for Tabitha's story. I read all of them. Many of the authors were new to me. The book as a whole had some really good stories, others were good or just didn't draw me in like others. I enjoyed the entire anthology though, reading from cover to cover!
Tabitha's "Desire in Their Eyes" 5/5
Draws you in? Oh yes!
This short story gets quickly to the point and leaves you needing a nice long cold shower. I know the point is to just tease and give a good romp, but dangit I want more! I want to know more about the characters, where they come from, what their story becomes, how they develop. It is completely unconnected to anything else Tabitha has written before and now I’m hoping she develops the story further because Sophie definitely deserves a happy ever after!
I recieved an ARC copy for my honest review and since the book has several authors I wanted to make this review as helpful as possible with no spoliers. This book is a great if you want a short look into your beloved characters. It does get confusing as some of the plots don't time sync with the actual series for some of the stories in this book. My advice, make sure you are all caught up with every series in this anthology prior to reading. It's not just series though and there are a few stories I want to explore further. All in all I gave it 4 stars because I was confused timeline wise for a few of the authors but it was a great holiday glimpse into some of my favorite book boyfriend's so totally worth it! Think Holiday extended scenes with plenty of heat.
I was lucky enough to receive an advanced copy of queen takes twins which is part of this collection. I loved it, for anyone who has read the rest of the series I would definitely recommend getting this collection to read queen takes twins. It was really nice to see the twins and Shara's relationship develop further because they were the last few bloods to be taken they didn't get as much book time as the others did so it was nice to get to know them a bit more lol ;) . I hope their are loads more books to the queen takes series because I love the characters and the world that Joely has created.
This book is full of short interludes between characters who may or may not have existing stories by their respective authors. Though I have not read the majority of these full-length stories, that didn't take away from my enjoyment of these stories.
And these stories do NOT skimp on the steam! If you do not like spice in your love books, then this is not for you. But if you're a shameless smut-a-holic like me, then you gotta read this!
All in all, I met a bunch of new authors I wouldn't mind reading more of!
(I was given a copy of this book in consideration of my honest thoughts)
Short on plots, this is a series of reverse harem sex scenes from mostly established books and series, a little steamy extra for fans, not that you really have to know the stories to enjoy these scenes. There are a few little starter pieces to go with, some introductions to stories yet to come, but mostly it's a night in the life of a woman and her men.
You get exactly what this promises, hot, three- and four-way action between one woman and multiple men. Expect to be turned on and maybe have your boundaries pushed a bit.
Another fantasticly steamy anthology filled with wonderful stories by many talented authors! Queens Takes Twins by Joely Sue Burkhart certainly holds a big piece of my heart in this series of short stories. I've been in love with Shara and all her Blood for quite some time, but I never knew something was missing until now! After reading that extremely sexy bondage scene, I realized I was missing it without even knowing it. And it was pure perfection! Hot enough to melt the Kindle kind of perfect! Joely and Shara never disappoint!
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
What a great collection of short stories. Polar Dream is about Isla and her mates having some fun times before the birth of their baby. It's a great short read with lots of steam. It's fun reading about the characters in a fun setting.
Queen takes Twins was amazing. The brothers share Shara and she learns she may not have been giving them everything they need. She soothes their souls in a way on Shara can.
All of the stories are awesome. You don't want to miss this.
This review is for "Under her Spell" by Julia Clarke. That being said, every story I read in this anthology was excellent! Under her Spell is a novella from the world of Charms of Attraction and it's Katerina's wedding night! Told from Adrian's point of view, this short but sweet story is full of heart and passion. We get a glimpse into all the love, respect, and reverence he has for his bride. We also get to be in the bedroom for the after wedding festivities. And what a night it was!
trying to have special alone time with her men isn't easy for Shara but somehow she finds the time. the twins have secrets deep inside and where Shara knows 1 of them the other twin is hesitant to let her know the truth. caring and compassion and love surround him when he finally lets her see his secret.
this is a fantastic bundle of stories that is a must for any of the authors readers.
As my header indicates, this wasn't quite what I expected when I downloaded this collection. It is a mix of novellas and odd chapters from various series and books (or scenes from between books). All well written, engaging and of course hot, and enjoyed reading them all, even though some were left-field and I read them 'blind'.....certainly a few hinted at some new series and authors that have to be investigated mmm
I like that most reads can be read without reading previous books in the series and not give away many spoilers. Some even make me interested in read the series to find out what happens before.
Polar Bear dreams is sweet, sexy and has the Halloween spirit through and through
This review is for Queen Takes Twins. This sort story is set in the Their vampire queen world and shows a little of interaction between Shara and her twins focusing in Tlacel and it was sooooo hot and insightful for us to know more about him, since in the books we have so many action. It was good to take a break and just relax Blood style.
This is a very sexy Halloween collection. I enjoyed all of the different shorts. I had one author in mind when I ordered this book Kristen Banet, her short story alone is worth buying this collection. There are a few series shorts and authors I haven't read yet which was nice I was able to add a lot of new authors to my tbr list and I already know I like their characters and writing style.
Queen Takes Twins: This is just what I needed from Shara and the guys. The twins were the only ones I didn’t feel invested in. Now that I got to see inside their heads a bit, I feel better connected to them. This was a really fun read! I can never get enough of Shara and her guys.
Sexy spooky stories enclosed. Please be advised of heat levels approaching scorching. If you have heart issues, please consult your physician before continuing these stories. Approach with caution but be assured you will enjoy the content.
Great set of hot scenes from wonderful authors. A lot of them are characters you have met in the authors' other books and it is nice to see them again. Queen Takes Twins by Joely Burkhart was especially good.
