No one, except Hugh Barnes, a confirmed bachelor who finds himself drawn to the outwardly shy but inwardly bold Violet Madison, a young woman who risks her safety to help others. When Violet confesses her fear of eviction from her childhood home, Hugh longs to rescue her. His good intentions are thwarted, however, when Hugh's estranged brother shows up in town ... and in Violet's company. But Violet faces an even bigger threat. A phantom figure lurks in the shadows, prepared to clip the wings of her Yuletide Angel.

A Wonderful Love by Linda Wood Rondeau — Award-winning author Linda Rondeau crafts a heartwarming romance set in New York's Adirondack Mountains. Iraq War widow, Dorie Fitzgerald, despises the frigid Adirondacks that have now become her home. After numerous failed job interviews, she questions the wisdom of moving to be near her parents. Desperate to try and fit in, she joins the community theater in the production of "It's a Wonderful Life." Could a "wonderful love" be waiting in the wings?

I read this book via an Amazon KINDLE Unlimited download.

However, you might feel about Valentine’s Day with all of its roses, heart boxes filled with delectable chocolate candies or chocolate-covered strawberries, are all old hat. I feel the REAL season for romance is during Christmas.

Christmas is the time for renewed romances, when two former lovers meet each other after several years of being apart, and possibly having faced a heartfelt breakup in the past. Christmas is the time where things happen, sometimes disastrous, forcing “strangers” to come together for warmth and comfort, etc; and changing their lives forever. Christmas is the time when opposites seem to get attracted to each other more often to form a lasting bond. Christmas is the time when more romances actually happen than during any other time of the year.

The four delightful stories in this book contain these qualities of the Christmas season of dreams coming true and of romance; stories which will warm the cockles of readers on a cold wintry night. And for giving their readers and myself these wonderful Christmas-themed religious and inspirational romances I’m happy to give them and their stories the 5 STARS they’ve gotten from me.

I really enjoyed the first story about Cam and Amanda the love story of them re connecting and the memories they share God brought them together at the right time. The next story called Crashing into Love, I started to read it but I lost interest in it after only reading the first chapter but they aren’t even chapters just tilted. I didn’t read much of it but it sounded sad at the start and I lost interest in it. I found it hard to follow but I guess I should of read more but it is Christian based the characters sound like they have a lot of faith given the hard time of what they have been through. The third story A Wonderful love, I enjoyed very much about a widowed mum named Dorie with two children who struggles to find a job and is in a new town trying to move forward. She joins the local community in a play and meets Jamey who is unsure if he will stick around to pursue Dorie as his dream is to go to New York to join broadway but his fathers business is stopping him and his put is dreams on hold. Despite himself he is attracted to Dorie but then she gets involved with the doctor. Will Jamey fulfil his dream or does God have other ideas? Is Dorie going to have a second chance with love. God works in mysteries ways and when you least expect love it things will happen you just need to surrender your life to God and he will look after the rest when the time is right.

Good stories
As with all anthologies, I liked some stories more than others.

Gift of the Magpie and A Wonderful Love were my favorites. The characters were were done and the plots believable. They held a range of emotions, too.

One of the stories, Yuletide Angel, was not included in my kindle download.
Crashing into Love was not great, although the storyline had promise. It was very rushed at certain spots, and the way it was structured just didn't come together well.
I quite enjoyed the other two stories.
