During the running of the bulls in Pamplona, a young Irish-American journalist witnesses a brutal stabbing. His search for the killer leads to the discovery of a powerful cartel involving some of the largest chemical companies in Europe and the U.S. The action moves from Spain to Brussels to Paris, and finally to the remote Aran Islands, where the pace of island life is violently interrupted by two of the most ruthless killers in Europe.A fast moving and compelling thriller.
I was born in Ireland and after graduating in engineering and business I decided that I wanted to see the world. With Shell International Petroeum and the National Iranian Oil Company I worked in England, Holland and Iran. As an international diplomat I lived in Belgium, Malta, Kenya and Zambia. I had the great good fortune to have a career which fulfilled all my travel desires. Since retiring in 2011, I have been living on the West Coast of Ireland and I've been writing full time. I love reading and concentrate on thrillers and history.
There were so many grammar errors it was difficult to get through. The author also had 2 different people speaking in the same paragraph several times! He also would have running conversations going on for a page at a time and never identify who was supposed to be speaking!
Easy to put down and he managed to make the end "fight to the death" boring.
I absolutely love reading Derek Fee books, each one is more gripping than the last. I found I couldn't stop reading til the end. Such a thrilling enjoyable book
