Hot Scots #4

Gift-Wrapped in a Kilt

Rate this book
Cold days. Steamy nights. It must be the holidays in the Highlands.

My name is Emery MacTaggart, and I want to tell you a story. It's about two people who believed nothing could save their love. But they're wrong, and I've resolved to prove it. They are my family now, and I fight for the ones I love — even if it means meddling in their affairs.

American Gavin Douglas lusted for Jamie MacTaggart from the minute he met the sweet Scot eighteen months ago and fell in love in the next minute. But when he tries to propose.... Well, things don't go as planned. His stupid mouth won't let him speak the right words. He offers her a credit card instead of a ring, and before he can make it right, she dumps him.

Jamie loves Gavin, but she's had enough. After more than a year of intercontinental romance, she needs a commitment, not a bloody frequent-flyer credit card. Then, her American sister-in-law, Emery, suggests an alternative plan. Make Gavin rue the day he hurt Jamie by making him want her so badly he can't see straight.

Gavin can't resist Jamie's seduction, but hot sex won't earn back her trust. Spurred by Emery's advice, he'll battle Jamie's obnoxious ex-fiancé and his own inner demons. He'll even make peace with Jamie's overprotective brothers — if the intimidating Rory will cooperate. As the two men engage in a battle of wills and muscles, Gavin vows to win back everything he wants by Christmas. If he survives that long...

Anna Durand is a bestselling, multi-award-winning author of contemporary and paranormal romance. Her books have earned bestseller status on every major retailer and wonderful reviews from readers around the world. But that’s the boring spiel. As for her writing, Anna has always invented stories in her head, but she didn’t write them down until her teen years. Gift-Wrapped in a Kilt is book four in the Hot Scots series by Anna Durand. This is my first book by Anna but surprisingly enough, I already have at lease a couple of the previous books in this series. I just haven’t read them yet. But when I saw she added a Christmas book to the series, I had to read it now. These really can be read as stand alones. It took me just a bit in the beginning to make sure I knew who went with whom. But once I got that figured out, I was good to go.

scottish castle

Jamie MacTaggart is the youngest of the MacTaggart clan in Scotland. Her three older brothers are very over protective of her. Jamie first met Gavin a year and a half ago. He is the older brother of her sister-in-law. The connection was immediate and they began an inter-continental romance, flying back and forth between America and Scotland. It hasn’t been easy but they love each other. Gavin has seemed off lately and said he has something important to ask her. So when he hands her a credit card instead of a ring, a credit card she doesn’t need, she’s through. It’s been eighteen months and she’s tired of waiting for him to figure out what he wants.

Gavin Douglas loves Jamie so much. So why couldn’t he take the ring out of his pocket? Gavin is an ex-marine. After he came home his life has changed in so many ways. He lost his parents, his little sister married a Scott and moved away. His wife divorced him. And now he’s lost his job. Even Jamie’s three brothers can’t stand him. He pretty much doesn’t like himself these days. Jamie fell in love with a confident, strong man and he’s not that man anymore.

Emery and Rory, who were featured in the previous book in the series, are blissfully happy. They can easily see that Gavin and Jamie belong together but have some issues to work through before they can make things work. So they conspire to do a little meddling. Although, Emery’s style of meddling is a little different than her husbands.

description

“Had she ever told Gavin how much he meant to her? She’d declared they had no future unless he got along with her brothers. Why had she said that?”

Jamie also has some things holding her back. First she was hurt deeply in a previous relationship and the scars haven’t completely healed. She might also rely a little too much on her brothers.

“He thought he was a coward, but she was the one too afraid to speak up. About her feelings for him. About her desire to be with him, no matter what. About her brothers.”

scottish christmas

This book takes place starting shortly before Halloween and runs through both Thanksgiving and Christmas. First, the MacTaggart men are seriously hot. Thus, the name of the series, Hot Scots. The sexy times between Jamie and Gavin definitely heat up the pages. I got a little annoyed at times with all the procrastinating and the silly games Jamie played with Gavin. Even after they re-committed to each other and admitted how much they needed to talk to each other about their past hurts and their fears, weeks would go by before they would do so. Still, they were so cute together. I also enjoyed getting to know the rest of the family and look forward to going back and reading the previous books. This was a light hearted, sweet, sexy holiday book and I did enjoy it. As I said, I need to go back and start at the beginning. But, I also look forward to the next book in the series, Iain MacTaggart’s story in Notorious in a Kilt.

GIFT-WRAPPED IN A KILT (Hot Scots #4) by Anna Durand is a sexy contemporary romance in the Hot Scot series set around the Christmas holiday in the Scottish Highlands. This addition to the series can be read as a standalone as the author does explain family relationships from previous books.

Jamie MacTaggart is the youngest of the MacTaggert siblings. She has had a trans-Atlantic relationship with the older brother of her American sister-in-law for the last year and a half. It was love at first sight and has continued to flourish even with the separations. When Gavin comes to Scotland for the holidays, Jamie expects a ring, but that is not what she gets. Gavin is no longer the take charge ex-Marine she fell in love with and she is tired of waiting and dumps him.

Gavin Douglas came to Scotland to propose to Jamie, who is the love of his life, but his mouth is not cooperating with his brain. Gavin lost his job in America, has inner demons that will not be silenced and cannot deal with his overprotective brothers-in-law. He wants time to sort through everything, but the return of Jamie’s ex-fiance and the scheming of his sister-in-law force him to make his decisions about their relationship quickly and there is the matter of Jamie using him for sex only since she dumped him.

Gavin vows to win Jamie back by Christmas, but both Gavin and Jamie need to deal with some emotional baggage and family ties before they can come together forever.

Finally, Jamie and Gavin get their story. These two had such a whirlwind relationship and sex life, but they had issues from their pasts that had to be faced. The author did resolve their issues in a realistic way that had the H/h finally communicating between themselves and their family members. I must admit that there were times I was frustrated by Gavin and wanted to kick his butt for being so wimpy in the first half of the story. I felt all of the family scheming and interference was done with love for both Jamie and Gavin. The sex scenes, as in all of this series, are steaming hot and explicit. This is an entertaining addition to the series, but not my favorite in the series.

Jamie has had it with her man, Gavin. So she dumps him after not getting the commitment she wanted (should have already have gotten). But, Gavin isn't one to give up on what he wants, even if he isn't himself lately, so he is determined to get his beautiful Scottish lass back.

But first, he'll have to get past her three over-protective brothers and her sleazy ex. Will this former military man pull himself up by the bootstraps and get his woman back? Read and find out!

I've really liked this series of hot Scots and this one is no exception to that. Reading about Gavin get his groove (and his girl) back was entertaining and fun. Not to mention the two together are hot! Can't wait for more from this author and her hot Scots.

I received an eARC of this from NetGalley, but that doesn't affect my review.

Jamie and Gavin have been attracted to each other from the moment they met, their chemistry is undeniable. But Gavin is afraid he isn't enough for her, yet Jamie needs commitment. Thanks to the meddling of Jamie's sister-in-law, they start to find their way back to each other. Even crazy and obnoxious ex-boyfriends can't come between them, nor protective brothers.

This love story is quite the raunchy and fun read. As an Outlander fan, this was the perfect read for me and I'll definitely try and get my hands on the rest of the series!

This is an OK addition to the Hot Scots romance series. I had looked forward to Jamie and Gavin's story, but it just wasn't as good as some of the others in the series. I liked both Jamie and Gavin in the earlier books, but I got annoyed with them a few times in this one -- because they both did some really stupid things.

What Gavin does as the beginning is just incredibly dumb. He breaks Jamie's heart, and then tries to tell her it was a joke? Then for Jamie to decide, even though she still loves him, that she wants only sex from him -- I'm sorry, but that was ridiculous. A smart woman would not be stupid enough to do something like that, because it would only break her heart again.

I won't give spoilers, but I get that both Jamie and Gavin had issues to overcome. That is no excuse for stupid decisions that hurt the ones you care about. I was glad when they both finally got their acts together, and found their HEA. Because of my irritation with the couple's behavior, this one gets 3 stars from me.

My rating system is below.
1 star -- Hated it, or did not finish. I usually only give this rating if some of the content is truly objectionable to me, like if one of the main characters does something really awful, and gets away with it.
2 stars -- Didn't like it. This rating usually means that I thought the writing wasn't very good, the editing was terrible, I didn't like the characters, or it had other major flaws.
3 stars -- I liked it, but had some minor issues with it. This rating means that there were minor editing issues, the story needed more character development, it was just too unrealistic, or had some other fairly minor issue. The majority of books I read get this rating – I do not consider it a bad rating.
4 stars -- I liked it a lot. This is a high rating for me, and I rarely give a higher one.
5 stars -- I loved it, and will probably read it again. Very few books are good enough to get this rating from me. The ones that do are usually classics.

Next Installment in a Series of Kilty Pleasures

With a Scottish heroine named Jamie, how could I pass up this book? This work plays around with the normal concepts for both Highlander romance and romance in general. Most remarkably, the heroine is Scottish, not the hero. This is the fourth book of this series, and if you enjoyed the previous books, you get to visit again with the McTaggart brothers and their American brides. In fact, Emery is the overall narrator of the tale. She opens the book talking about how she wants to talk about Gavin’s and Jamie's story. The story then goes back and forth between Gavin's perspective, Jamie's perspective, and this overall narrator of the story (Emery).

The way this book deviates from typical of romance is that it starts with what is usually the middle part of a romance plot. Right off the bat, through his own fear and stupidity, the boy loses the girl. Of course, this is a romance, so this will not be allowed to stand. Gavin stays in Scotland--he’d only come over for the weekend--with a member of the extended McTaggart family, Iain. Jamie chooses to stay with her favorite brother, Rory, while she nurses a broken heart. She has long discussions with Emery, and they cook up some crazy schemes; even Emery isn’t sure Jamie should do what she is proposing to get through to Gavin. Both Gavin and Jamie have ghosts from their pasts that they must wrestle with before they can come together.

Both the hero and the heroine, as well as extended family members, are well-drawn with colorful pasts, goals, and motivations that keep the plot moving. The book is definitely high on the steam meter, but the hot scenes fit the context of the story. The book was also a delight to read for lack of glaring grammar, punctuation, and usage errors.

If you're looking for something different in Highland romance, this fun and sexy read could fit the bill.

Is Gavin an honorary Hot Scot or the newest member of the American Wives Club?

Gavin's sister is one the three American Wives of the MacTaggart brothers, which led to Gavin falling in love with the youngest MacTaggart sister, Jamie. We've watched them peripherally throughout the past two books in this series, but now their across-the-pond romance has finally reached the do-or-die stage. As much as he loves Jamie, Gavin just isn't sure if he's ready for the next step, or if her family is ready to accept him.

Both Jamie and Gavin have glossed over the deeper emotional intimacies in their relationship, but now those secret hurts and insecurities must be dealt with before they're ready for their HEA. This story follows that process, with all its painfully honest lows and triumphant, sexy highs. Gavin doesn't just have to win over Jamie's heart, he also must make peace with each of her three brothers, including the one Gavin believes hates him too much to ever give his blessing.

Set in the MacTaggarts' neighborhood in Scotland, this book is a real treat for us Americans to read, almost like a virtual, literary trip to Scotland in our heads. The Highland Games was truly the highlight of the book, with the American-style Thanksgiving dinner a close second. Gavin proves he's every bit as swoon-worthy as his brothers-in-law, and Jamie really comes into her own as she figures out what she must do to make things right with him.

I laughed, I swooned, and I enjoyed every single moment of this book. It's a wonderful treat, and has a permanent spot on my to-read-again shelf. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Now that Emery and Rory MacTaggart are happily married (Scandalous in a Kilt), they want the same for Jamie and Gavin, and have no problem interfering to make that happen.
Ex Marine, Gavin Douglas, brother of Calli (Wicked in a Kilt) and Jamie MacTaggart met when they came to visit their siblings in the backwoods of Michigan, where Calli was hiding out. Calli and Aiden have been married a while, and living in Scotland, but Gavin and Jamie have been traveling back and forth between America and Scotland on Lachlan's jet. Gavin is back in Scotland to propose, but after receiving a pink slip via email, chickens out and instead of the ring he has in his pocket, he hands Jamie a credit card. Jamie has had enough. They both have "issues" from previous relationships. Jamie was engaged before, but broke it off when she finally saw the man behind the facade. Gavin has feelings of abandonment. When he left the Marines, he lost his brothers-in-arms. Shortly after that his parents, his wife and then Calli when she married Aiden and moved to Scotland. He is afraid that Jamie will leave him too. When Jamie refuses to talk and Gavin feels that her brothers hate him and he doesn't deserve her, it takes interfering in-laws to get them to speak to each other about their pasts and their fears.

Wonderful characters, witty dialogue, an engaging plot and an amusing narrative making this an appealing addition to the MacTaggart stories.

GIFT-WRAPPED IN A KILT is the fourth book in the Hot Scots series. Though each book will stand on its own, for maximum enjoyment read them all and in the order of release, plus Brit vs Scot as book 8.5.

Somehow I had missed this book in the series. How appropriate that a book titled “Gift Wrapped in a Kilt” would be given to me as a gift.

I already knew Jamie and Gavin as a couple, but how wonderful to get to know their story. I have a picture frame in my house that says, “Every love story is beautiful, but ours is my favorite.” This is true. I love the love story that is mine, but I love all romance stories and want to know them all. That’s why I’m happy to finally read about Gavin and Jamie.

Someone needed to Gavin a clue – gift wrapped, high-lighted, with cliff-notes and references. Even when Emory gets the brothers (Rory, Aidan, and Lachlan) to assist, it appears that all of the men need those clues.

Gavin may not have a clue, but he is determined. He may have fouled-up the first proposal, but he knows his future. All of this leads to laugh-out-loud moments and recognizable frustration. Then there is the sexy, steamy love. There is a reason this is called the HOT Scots series. WhooHoo!

Note: While I received this book as a gifted ARC from the author, my opinions are my own and are given freely.

So I know this says it can be read as a standalone, but there's so much backstory with the other couples, I think I'd have preferred to read them in order. This is my first year reading holiday romances, and this was my very first book doing so. I liked how it covered the major holidays at the end of the year, & how the MacTaggart family celebrated them. Jamie & Gavin...you can tell they're good together, but Gavin really got on my nerves. He seemed very whiny for an ex-Marine. I get he had prior tragedy & disappointment, but for about half the book, he was blaming Jamie's brothers for not being welcoming, when all it seemed like was some typically 'tough love' male bonding. Also, not a way to win a woman's heart. His attitude almost made me set the whole book aside. But glad to say it got better, and I actually want to backtrack now to see how Jamie's brothers (especially Rory) win over their wives.

One thing that was weird to me is how openly...affectionate all the couples are. Like beyond the norm. I don't want to know about my siblings' sex lives, nor talk about them. Just an odd theme in the book.

Also am glad Iain is getting a book, though there was enough hinting at it. He was one of my favorite parts in this one.

I received a complimentary copy from the author and voluntarily reviewed.

Gift-Wrapped In A Kilt is book 4 in Anna Durand's Hot Scotts series.
You don't need to listen to the other books before listening to this story. The author explains the family hierarchy and who is linked to who very well. It's written in a way that made me curious and eager to listen to the other audiobooks.

The story of Jamie and Gavin starts shortly before Halloween and runs through both Thanksgiving and Christmas. During that time, numerous things happen. Most are hilarious, some are emotional, and many are steamy.

Both Gavin and Jaimie are well-built characters with relatable, deep feelings, I felt like I knew them.
Every character in this book has a past that they have overcome or will in the future. All these things keep the plot going and are highly entertaining.
This story has many extensive sexy scenes ( peppers). The steam level fits the story, and the story wouldn't be complete without it.

Mary Ann Weathers and Patrick Zeller narrated Gift-Wrapped in a Kilt, and they did an excellent job. Both narrators had to switch both Scottish and American accents, and they were very consistent with it. Let me tell you, the male character with a Scottish accent is hot AF.

If you love a second chance romance, strong families bonds, holiday cheer, and lots of steam, this is a must-listen for you.

This is book 4 in the Hot Scots series and wow what a hot sizzling kindle smoking story, I’m a big fan of Anna Durand’s stories especially this series and if you love a sexy Scot in a kilt then this series is the one for you. This story is about a sexy Scot lassie and an American ex marine, sorry guys I’m not going to give any spoilers this book doesn’t need it but if you want to know more then read Anna’s blurb and that will give you the gist to this story. I’ll tell you what though I thought that Scottish men were stubborn but the women wow words escape me lol, I can understand the way Jamie was feeling being hurt and only wanting to protect her heart. Gavin well he totally stuffed up and regrets it now he will do anything to prove to Jamie how he feels, he even tries to get on with her brothers and that’s no easy feat. I loved this story it’s a fantastic read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

Gift-wrapped in a Kilt by Anna Durand is the fourth in the series however if you've not read the others it isn't a problem as it's a standalone. This is a perfect steamy read ideal for a holiday read or even any time. I do love a good romance.

The reader is introduced to an ex-marine American that falls head over heels for a wee bonnie Scottish lass. However like all love stories Gavin messes up his proposal to Jamie and leaves her hurt and angry. Gavin will do anything to get his girl back and agrees to her of no strings attached with no intimacy affair. Jamie had her heart broken before and she is afraid that Gavin is just like her ex. The only obstacle in his way is her brothers that, as you can imagine, are very protective of Jamie, Gavin must prove his worth.

Alongside a love story there are also steamy scene content. This isn't for anyone under 18. I loved it and really want to read other titles by this author!

This is amusing, steamy and entertaining. Gavin is caring, determined, romantic and emotionally a mess. Jamie is bold, stubborn, impulsive and impatient. The two have been seeing each other for 18 months, so when Gavin goes to visit her this time he plans on proposing. Only he gets bad news on the morning of the proposal, and it completely screws him up, so he screws up the proposal. Jamie gets mad and breaks up with him. Now he has to figure out how to fix things, but first he needs to get his head on straight. Jamie doesn't want to hear what he needs to say, which makes it impossible for Gavin to explain himself. There's also her big brothers to worry about, an ex fiancè and their own confusion to be dealt with.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from AXP. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.

Another fantasy hot scots adventure!

This isn’t my first Hot Scots book and it won’t be my last! The only thing that would make these books better would be to actually hear the accents! This book doesn’t center stage a hot scot man though so I will forgive them for not offering a sample audio of the accents this time! This hot scots book follows ex marine, Gavin Douglas as he tries to win back his love, Jamie MacTaggart before her ex convinces her that she’s better off with him! While he tries to win her back he also has to figure out how to impress her unimpressed brother Rory! The sex scenes are steamy and the chemistry between the characters is so hot you expect them to spontaneously combust at any moment! Over all it’s a good story, all of the MacTaggart brothers make an appearance and we get to see them at both their best and worst!

Fun addition to a great series

I've enjoyed Anna Durand's Hot Scots series very much. Gift-Wrapped in a Kilt is the story of Gavin Douglas and Jamie MacTaggart siblings of one of the couple's in the previous books. The pair met in a previous book but their first meet is told via flashback in this book so the story can be read as a stand alone though you really don't want to miss a minute of the American Wives club and their sexy Scots. I thought the challenges to the HEA were interesting and kept the plot moving. The secondary couples are a bonus to the story. I just can't get enough of this family and am looking forward to cousin Ian's story Notorious in a Kilt.

Fourth book in the wonderful Hot Scot series and this is Jamie the MacTaggart sisters story. She has been having a long distance relationship with her Sister in Laws brother and now he has come for the holidays and she is expecting a ring. Gavin Douglas came with the intention of proposing but everything is falling down around him he has lost his job and is feeling insecure no longer the take charge marine she knew. When he gets himself in a tangle and flunks things because of all his demons plus an overprotective brother he pulls away to regroup but he may run out of time when Jamie's ex fiance appears on the scene. Now both ofthem will have t deal with their asts if they are going to have a future together

Love is never easy and people will do crazy things when their heart tells them to do so.

This is a story of exactly that, with Gavin doing anything he possibly can to win the heart of his true love, Jamie. He knows that she is the only one in the world for him but he has to convince her and her family that his intentions are truly good and this is far from an easy task.

The storyline itself is one of romance and love, and this is written about in such a way that the emotions of each character can really be felt. The flow of the book is wonderful too, like Anna’s other books it’s incredibly easy to just lose yourself in and then suddenly realise 2 hours and a hundred pages have past.

This book actually starts in book one of this series, Dangerous in a Kilt. The couple in this story are siblings of the couple in the first story. They met because of their siblings, fell in love instantly and have been trying to have an intercontinental relationship.

Gavin is in Scotland to pursue the only MacTaggart sister (books 1-3 are about her brothers). He wanted to propose, botched it badly and ended up giving Jamie a frequent flyer credit card. She is hurt and looks to end their relationship thinking he doesn't love her like she does him. Gavin has a tough road winning back Jamie's trust, winning her brothers over and battling his own insecurities based on the past. Will the MacTaggart family give Gavin another chance even if his sister is married to one of them?

Gavin and Jamie started out this story together but Gavin, having lost his job and due to other deep psychological issues, messed up the proposal. This story really just followed them as Gavin tries to win Jamie back. I loved the other family members- I wish I read the books in order because I wanted to know more about the other relationships (which were referred to in the book). The couple had a bit of push and pull that I wish was resolved a little quicker but overall, I really enjoyed the story.

I listened to the audiobook as well and really enjoyed the narration. I think that the narrators, Patrick Zeller and Mary Ann Weathers did really well across characters and accents. I enjoyed the audiobook and felt that the narration elevated the story.

Jamie and Gavin have been in a relationship for 18 months when this story starts; their first meeting is revealed to the reader as a flashback. The story is told from changing points of view - not just of the two main characters - without annoying repetitions. It's easy to follow and quite entertaining.
It is nice to see the realism of the necessity of residency permits here; this served as an effective device to add further conflict for the couple, another hindrance to overcome.
I got a kick out of the MacTaggarts' private mini Highland games.
4* for I really liked it. I read a free advance copy and voluntarily post my review.

American Gavin fell hard for Scotswoman Jaime when she came to visit her brother - the man his sister Calli fell for.

Calli and her man have a daughter and now another babe on the way.

Baggage from his past is keeping Gavin from offering the ring in his pocket to Jaime - then he loses his sales job.

Can the former Marine and the bonnie Scots lassie find their way to their forever? Only if they can cling more to love than hurts past and present - and if they can work past the interference of her interfering British ex.

“Gift-Wrapped in a Kilt” by Anna Durand is part of the MacTaggart series. I have to admit that I have not read the previous books in this series but that did not stop me enjoying this one. The author wrote it in such a way that I had no difficulty catching up, so to speak.

Jamie is the youngest sister of the MacTaggart family. Gavin and Jamie have a long history together, and although Gavin loves Jamie, he's not willing to commit to her yet. The family is very close and they don’t doubt Gavin, they don't like him making stringing Jamie along.

Will he commit, will she wait or will doubts win out over what they could possibly have together?

Jamie is the baby of the MacTaggart family. She is in love with the older brother of her sister-in-law, Calli. Gavin is a hot, sexy American. She expects him to propose. Instead of the proposal from the man of her dreams, he majorly messes up by giving her a credit card. And so the journey of Gavin's earning his dream woman's heart, forgiveness, & her brothers' respect & approval begins. Scots, steaminess, caber tossing, kilts, sweetness, hilarity, family, lots of love, and a wee bit of drama. Lots of nummy! Love these MacTaggarts.

This is funny,steamy and entertaining.
Gavin is caring, determined, romantic and emotionally a mess.
Jamie is bold, stubborn, impulsive and impatient. The two have been seeing each other for 18 months, so when Gavin goes to visit her this time he plans on proposing and unfortunately he screws up.
Jamie gets mad and breaks up with him. Now Gavin has to figure out how to fix things.
And battle begins, will he, will she?
There's also her big brothers as protector and ex fiancè to be dealt with. Talking about confusion

Jamie and Gavin had pasts that affected how they interacted with each other. Gavin had to also overcome Jamie's family. Through the many misunderstandings and mistrusts, these two parted and came back together stronger. There were moments of tears, smiles, snickers, and swoonings. Jamie was a strong woman though she was well protected by her brothers. Gavin had his concerns and screwed up trying to express himself without opening himself up to hurt. I loved this couple, the story, and the narration by Mary Ann Weather and Patrick Zeller. They both did a wonderful job giving life to all the characters throughout the story.

This is my unsolicited review.

This the fourth book in the Hot Scots series. It is better to listen to this series in order for a better enjoyment. Jamie and Gavin’s story is beautifully written, emotional, funny, sweet, sexy and heartwarming. There are such amazing characters. Jamies is beautiful and feisty. She is a McTaggart, sister of Aiden, Lachlan and Rory. Gavin is very handsome. He is Calli’s brother (Aiden’s wife). I love this series. The family bonds are amazing. The supporting characters are fantastic. It was so great to see again the characters from the previous books in the series. Mary Ann Weathers and Patrick Zeller did a great job with the narration. I enjoyed it.
