No depth
The makings of an interesting story. This short read feels like the rough draft of a story. And since it's so short it has zero time to build or draw the reader in. There didn't seem to be a connection between the lead characters. It just seemed flat.
If your a Harry Potter fan then like me you'll think " mischief managed" every time you read mischief makers. That's the only reference to an amazing book to this read.

Great story!
This is my first book by this author and for sure not my last! It was a great story with interesting, well thought out characters. The writing was good with few errors. I look forward to the next book.

Expected more, considering all the reviews
For the most part there isn't alot of depth to this story. It leaves out chunks of things going on in the story and just skipping on to the ending. I think it had the potential to be a great story but I believe the author kept most of it in her head and wrote down very little of it. We go from the girl driving into town with her dog ,to getting a job and living with jinks and becoming his ol'lady all with in a matter of a week. No drama ,no angst, nothing what's so ever ! The book could of been done in one chapter. I only finished because I hate not finishing things.

Not one to typically read an MC romance book, something intrigued me about Jinx. The characters caught me from the beginning and Flora did an amazing job portraying the world of the Mischief Makers Club. With a sexy, authoritative MC President who shows his concerned side to a woman on the run, talk about swoon! Will Jinx be able to save the damsel before her troubled past catches up to her? Will Roxanne learn she can trust another man? Be sure to pick up Jinx and find out!

This is the first book that I read from this author and I love it. Love the characters and the way the story end it. The only thing I didn’t like was that it was to short wish it was longer. Can’t wait to read the book in the series

Great read
I really enjoyed this book. I loved Roxanne! She’s a tough chick and didn’t take any crap. Also, I love having books having a pit bull in the story. They are incredibly loving, loyal and misunderstood dogs :).

I was in a book funk. I haven't been able to read.
Yesterday I grabbed this book, thinking I'd give it a try. I'm so glad that I did. While I sunned by the pool I read the book.
Roxanne and Zeus are running away from their past. Zeus as a failed fighting dog and Roxanna from a crappy boyfriend. When her car breaks down a biker, Jinx stops to help her. Jinx follows her to town, where he recommends her to get a motel room. Only she doesn't. Zeus and Roxanne sleep in her car. Then she runs into Jinx again and her life changes. For the better?? Only time will tell. And what about her past?
Jinx is surprised when Roxanne rolls into his garage to get her car fixed. It's obvious to him, that she needs a job and he can help her. He offers her a job at the garage and a room at his place. She accepts the job, but not the place to live. When Jinx finds out that Sweetness - Roxanne - has a run-in with a rival gang, he jumps in with both feet to save her. Because she is HIS.
This is a good short story. It was enough to keep me interested and reading the book to the end. I will read more by Flora Burgos.

This is the first book by Flora that I have read. This book had me laughing out loud. Roxanne is moving on from a bad breakup. It’s just her, her dog, and her car. She meets Jinx when her car breaks down on the side of the road. He stops and help her out. They meet again when she pulls in to a repair shop to ger her car fixed. Turns out he works at the repair shop. Jinx is the president of the Mischief Makers MC. The last thing he needs is a woman who won’t listen and her giant dog. He can’t help it though. There is just something about Roxanne that draws him in. He offers her a job and a place to live, no strings attached. Roxanne has her own issues she is dealing with. She isn’t sure about Jinx but doesn’t exactly have other options at the moment. These two are great and I loved all the characters so much. These two make an interesting couple. They weren’t looking for romance at all. But sometimes that is when romance finds you. This book is a great beginning to the series. I am eager to see what happens next.

Jinx is the prez of the Mischief Makers and has more than enough trouble in his hand at the moment but when he comes across and broken down car he has to stop and make sure everything is OK, he didn't expect to find a girl with a loaded gun and a monster /dog!!
This one is another great from the Author I have read all her books as soon as they come out and have loved them all can't wait for the next MC book to come out!

Jinx is the first book in Flora Burgos’ Mischief Makers MC series. As this is the first book of the series, it provides readers an opportunity to meet the other members of the Mischief Makers. The Mischief Makers are self-proclaimed guardians of Galveston Island. A rival motorcycle club that is connected to a cartel wants to take over the island. In this first book, introduces us to Jinx and Roxanne. Jinx is the president of the motorcycle club. Roxanne is an orphan on the run from her druggie boyfriend, Norm. Norm abused his dog, Zeus, so when Roxanne leaves, she takes Zeus with her. Her old and dilapidated car breaks down on Galveston Island where Jinx comes to her aid. From their first encounter, Jinx is attracted to Roxane. She amuses him and he admires her spunk. What will happen between Jinx and Roxanne? Will they find happiness? What happens with Norm? Will he pursue Roxanne? Will tension increase between the Mischief Makers and the rival gang? To learn the answers to these questions, you must read this book.
I enjoyed Ms. Burgos’ romantic suspense story. It is action packed and filled with danger. I liked the amazing chemistry between Roxanne and Jinx. Ms. Burgos is masterful in creating conversational and internal dialog. The banter between Roxanne and Jinx is witting. Her use of descriptive language paints vivid pictures that grabs the readers’ attention. I appreciate the underlying theme of the importance of family. She portrays family as a combination of blood relatives and a band of brothers. The Mischief Makers are such a family. Their bond is strong as they protect and care for what is theirs—whether its each other, their businesses, or their women. This was an enjoyable read and I am looking forward to reading other books in this series. Great job, Ms. Burgos.

Roxanne doesn’t have a place to call home. She travels in her car with her dog named Zeus, until she barely makes it into Galveston and her car stops. Jinx is president of Mischief Makers MC and stops to see if he can help Roxanne and her crazy dog. Roxanne ends up finding a family she always wanted with Jinx and MC. They will do anything to protect one of their own no matter the cost. Jinx didn’t realize he was missing anything in his life until Roxanne. Although, she is a strong will woman who doesn’t take orders very well even if it for her own safety. Looking forward to reading the next book in this series about Jinx’s little brother Nomad.

If you like short stories these books are for U.
Ms. Burgos books are well written with the ability to make you want more and that's the problem. There's stories are to short with not enough meat to sink your teeth into. I prefer details with in-depth Characterizations. These books would be amazing if the characters and the story had been expanded upon giving the story the the power and integrity it deserved.

Not your average MC story...but underlying theme of family...not necessarily blood family is what the important concept is. These guys are not really criminals but will do what they have to in order to protect their home and those they love. Roxanne drifts into their sights by accident...but the fates have more to say and she soon finds that she may finally find a place that she belongs after drifting for her whole life. And Jinx...well...hot, tattooed and a biker. Enough said! I look forward to reading more of the Mischief Makers!

I love MC Romance and this one was great! I loved Jinx and Roxanne’s story! When Roxanne’s car breaks down leaving her and her dog stranded Jinx rescues her and gives her the family she’s always wanted! I loved all of the members of the Mischief Makers! They were very entertaining! This story has action, suspense, danger and amazing chemistry between Jinx and Roxanne!

Jinx is the first book in Mischief Makers MC: Mother Chapter, great start to a new MC series. Loved the characters, Roxanne is this beautiful mix of sweet naive girl and scary mamma bear, Jinx is your dominating alpha MC president, that loves his MC family more than life. The story had drama, action, great characters (that i can`t wait to read about in coming books) love and a little sexy time. Enjoy

I devoured this book in just a few hours. In that time I fell in love with Jinx and his "family".
This story was great. I felt like I was there. I was scared for Roxanne and the way she was living. She needed a family and unexpectedly found one that not only accepted her but her protector and bestfriend. Her pittie!

Great book
This has the right mix of action and heat . Jinx is laid back until he needs to be more. Roxanne considers herself a nobody until Jinx shows her she's a somebody. There's enough club drama to keep your interest and enough about the club brothers to make you want to know more about them . Buying both Nomad's and Scratches books now

Liked it good book for the beginning of a series
Not a hard core biker story but definitely a sweet story more than anything. Will definitely read the next story. Has more of an overarching plot but definitely has good bones. I read some other 1 star and 2 star comments. So if you are looking for hard core Mc, it’s not that but is a nice Mc story with great beginnings

Love Zeus!!
This book is about a girl and her dog. They are on the run from her past and come across Jinx, the President of the Mischief Makers MC. When things heat up between the MMMC and a rival gang, they will do anything to keep Roxanne safe. There is some steam and lots of action.

Enjoyable MC Read
Highly enjoyed Jinx & Roxanne! From their meeting to their banter to their interactions with the club and the danger they're in, their story is well told.

I enjoyed this story. Characters sneak into your heart by the time it’s finished. Looking forward to the next one. So glad I gave this “new to me” author a try. Jinx or Pop's
I am not sure which is my favorite character. Jinx has a heart of gold and takes care of his "family" . I can picture Pop's in my head, always there when needed. Looking forward to the next chapter in the Mischief Makers.

Definitely more MC lite, which is very popular right now. I personally would have enjoyed more of a descriptive romance. It just felt like bam! Jinx and Roxanne are together now. The ending seemed super rushed also.
