Teach Your Toddler to Pray is simple and clear, easy to read and put into practice. Using your family’s own denomination and prayer traditions, this book will guide you through three phases of leading your child into a lifetime of prayer. And great news for busy parents: you do not have to read this entire book before starting the process of teaching your kids to pray! There are few caregivers of toddlers who have the time to read a book cover to cover and implement it in a reasonable amount of time. Everyone who picks up this book can spend just a few moments reading and immediately put each section into practice, so that by the time you finish reading the book, your little one is a praying baby. This book is a great addition to family Bible study, a Christian or Catholic education curriculum, or gift for new parents or baptism.
This simple book was so helpful to me in processing how to encourage my preschoolers to pray. While the advice inside the book is simple, it helped to have someone spell it out for me. The first section of this book was very fleshed out while the second and third sections felt much shorter and more abrupt. I’d have liked slightly more in those sections but overall, found this to be a useful resource.
Quick, easy read with age-appropriate suggestions for helping your little one learn how to read. I especially appreciated the journaling prompts for parents not only to provide a starting place in their parental prayer life for their children, but also offer ideas for how to help their children grow into this essential relationship with God.
