(SPOILERS)
My oh My. What a gripping tale from start to finish. The characters are so well described and it is addictive to find out their very secrets and deep feeling that are hard to uncover. Lottie, nan, little tom what lovely caring character stories for each, despite at times having a negative outlook on matt and jenny......this did not last long as they changed overtime for the better. After recently coming back from a Cornwall holiday myself this book brought back fond memories of St Ives and the Cornish coast. The pasties, seagulls, merchants, need i go on, this book describes what Cornwall truly is to the letter. Praises for Sheila as this is such a warm read for a cold evening. Just wish the story of how Lottie could find her mother in America was possible as this tale of love and close family...not necessarily by blood is very captivating and i would love to know if her mother was willing to come back with her to Cornwall. Would she be grateful to Jenny and Arnie for caring for Lottie or would she want Lottie to stay with her in America...who knows...
