I have always wanted a copy of the harmonized gospel and I very much appreciate the new Passion Translation, so I ordered this one. There were a couple of spots that had wordings that were almost identical a couple of paragraphs apart. It seemed those could have used some harmonizing as well, but overall this is good. I was a bit disturbed that this translation says Mary, Jesus' mother, went to the tomb the next morning. I had never understood it like that, so I checked back on the wording of all the gospels about resurrection morning and did not find that to be accurate. Still, I am glad I read it and own it.
Amazing down-to-earth translation of the Bible. It makes lots of things make a lot more sense. Only down side is that it's a bit repetitious and clunky at times due to saying the same story twice from different gospels. Most of the time though, he's able to integrate them all into one.
I’ve never read a harmonized version of the gospels, but I’m glad I did. Reading the life of Jesus like a story or novel was more intimate than I expected. Would highly recommend this 40-day study.
