Piper Sullivan is an old school romantic who enjoys reading romantic stories as much as she enjoys writing them. She spends her time day-dreaming of dashing heroes and the feisty women they love.
Macy was going into the school she once went to. She was going to be speaking in the assembly. She had her Elizabeth run her business for while she was gone. Macy came back to improve their science department and to giveaway a scholarship for scientific excellence. Macy runs into Brad or should I stay he almost hit her as she was trying to rescue a bird. Brad’s daughter Stella came in to talk to Macy about a science fair project. Matt walked into talk to Macy and she tells him about Stella’s project. Matt proceeds to tell Stella and how her mother died and acts out in class. Macy goes over to Stella/Brads house for dinner. Brad and Macy went to Vegas for a night and the next day they found out they were married. About the same time Brad felt something in his back pocket and took out 2 Polaroid of Brad and Macy in front of a priest. They talked to each other on the phone when Brad turns around and sees Stella holding one of the polaroids. Macy comes over to talk to Stella. Brad told her that Stella found out about the marriage and was very upset. Macy wants to talk to her an opens the doorbut, Stella was not in there. Will they be able to find Stella? Will Brad and Macy get a divorce? .
The story jumped a bit time-wise. I'm not sure if it was just a problem with the beta edition, or if that's how the finished book will be. It wasn't bad, but I'm not fond of showing a scene and then jumping back to tell how the characters got there.
Other wise the story was good. The characters were well described and the situations plausible.
I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
The story line was good but there were some pretty major problems like there was a chapter completely out of place. It was going pretty good then at 42% it just seems to make this huge jump in time and then it goes back in time all because a chapter is out of place. The flow of the story becomes of and it takes another 15% to get it back on track. Characters are brought up but never really get details about them. It was almost like they were used as fillers & not really important to the story.
Macy returns to her home town of Goodsprings to sponsor a science project at her old high school. There she meets her old sweetheart Brad who now has a headstrong daughter Stella. Brad and Stella are still grieving for her mother but eventually both grow closer to Macy. I found the accidental marriage a bit confusing but overall I really loved the characters. Really great read.
this is a short fast paced story. Brad and Macy went to school together. They meet again when she comes back to town. Great rekindled love story. Sweet read 4*
