Aya the Enchantress, the beautiful and powerful water dragon of Black Harbor has never wanted love, not for herself.
However, a chance meeting with another Emerald Siren has brought that feeling to a crashing halt.
She had never seen another Siren around Black Harbour before.
He was tall, dark and chiseled with deep emerald green eyes that had her mesmerized. They were drawn to each other like two drops of water. The attraction was undeniable.
Julian, was the Emerald Siren of Roselake, before it’s destruction.
Now he stalks the militarized cult that destroyed his home across the country in hopes of taking out their leader. A powerful and maniacal zealot who destroys everything in his wake.
When Julian finds out one of his own is in danger, he is compelled to rush to her aid. But her beauty grabs hold of him, threatening to derail the entire mission.
The scent of love is in the air.
As is the scent of fire, and ash.
Burning Ashes is a stand-alone book in the Black Harbour Dragons series. A guaranteed HEA, no cheating and steamy scenes intended for a mature audience.
I am the minority on this series because I definitely didn't love it, and this book was just okay for me. This one takes place some time after the second book, but we have no idea how long because the only character from the beginning we see is Skinner. Who, by the way, has certainly grown on me thru the books some how.
My biggest issue with this one was how drastically Aya's personality changed from what we have gotten of her so far. I could never picture her going to a Skull party like she does at the beginning. Her talking was completely normal here and she was way more outgoing. Almost none of her meshed with her previous image. Then there was the thing with her hair. In every single book before when she shows up, her long white hair is specifically pointed out. Which makes one think that's how it always is. But now we're told it only happens twice a year when they go thru this hard to control urge to mate. Sooooo it just so happened that every time the main characters from the other books needed her help, it was that time? No wonder she was usually so snippy if she wasn't getting any action.
I'm not saying that I didn't like Aya. I did. Mostly because she wasn't stupid and immature. As for Julian, he just wasn't alpha enough for me. He was such an emotionally driven sap. Which kind of put him at odds with his determination to get revenge on those who killed everyone he knew. But hey. Who am I to judge someone's anger issues?
Julian has been stalking this cult of Zion for some time now as they move from city to city murdering dragons and recruiting new followers. The leader has convinced the humans that the key to immortality is in consuming the flesh and scales of the dragons. And the emerald sirens are the most potent of all. He plans to take over Black Harbor and make the city his own, but first he needs to capture and sacrifice Aya. When Julian hears that another of his kind is in the city and the next target, he passes up his chance to kill him in favor of warning her first. Which, I mean, if you think about it it makes no sense. If you killed the guy then and there, she wouldn't be in danger from him anymore. But I guess that would have made for an even shorter story.
Thanks to Skinner, the two meet quickly. But instead of talking, their lust takes over. And when they're finished, Aya believes Julian's story is a way to bind her to him so she leaves. A decision that she soon comes to regret. After seeing the truth first hand, she finally listens to Julian and it's up to the two of them to stop this madman before he can murder more dragons....and humans. Unfortunately he has a horrible trick up his sleeve and it won't be easy. Fortunately, they aren't completely alone. I was a little surprised by the end, but not completely. Aya also deserves a happy ending after all.
Honestly, I'm glad these were so short and I'm done with this series. It wasn't a bad one, but none of the books really drew me in and made me care about anything going on. Which kind of sucks because I really did love the idea of dragons being in charge for a change.
Another great installment in the story of the dragons of Black harbour and like all the others it is a rollercoaster ride of action revenge and susense
Aya saw the destruction of her family and now she holds herself aloof from all if she doesn't love she can't be hurt again Julian saw his entire town destroyed and has been tracking the culprit ever since . Cyrus is a madman who has convinced his followers that eating dragon meat will make them immortal and now he has his sights set on Black Harbour. Can Aya and Julian work together to save the town and what about what is brooding between them will these two damaged souls be able to learn to love again. Another great short story from this talented author that drags us into her world of dragons I can't wait for the nest installment in this wonderful series

HOLY SMOKES!!! Oh man. Another thrilling ride on a fast track. An action packed, fast paced, heart pounding read that hooks you from the start and reels you in for the duration. The characters are well developed and believable. Their personalities are strong and unique with qualities and traits that play off one another. The scenes are so graphic and descriptive it paints a picture with all the suspense and danger riding their heels. In a killed or be killed world you trust no one. As Jadyn continually kept throwing up road blocks, detours and even raging lunatics. Yep! That's definitely a few twists and unpredictable as it comes. Jadyn did an incredible job bringing this read together beautifully. Fantastic job Jadyn, thanks for sharing this awesome read with us.
When I read the blurb that Aya the Enchantress was going to be in the next book of the Black Harbor Dragon series I signed up to read and review it. Aya is always helping the dragon couples in the previous books so I liked her character from those books. This story did not disappoint me, I totally enjoyed it and was rooting for our couple. Of course Julian and Aya have a cult run by Cyrus they have to stop and try to protect the humans and dragons of Black Harbor for the action and the romance between Julian and Aya kept me entranced in this novella. This is another great novella in this series. ARC
This can be read as a stand alone but why ? The whole series as been brilliantly written and well worth reading and I you don't read the other books in the series then you will miss out on so much in this one.. A world where humans have become the " under dogs " and where dragons fight each other for dominance and to make the rules to suit themselves but with so many different clans of dragons why is the one siren so solitary ? This is her story and it is exciting, fast paced and a brilliant read

Wow! A great book and a fine continuation of the Black Harbour series! I loved the attitudes and interplay! The Inclusion of some previous characters was good but I found that I would have liked to know more of them. This takes pace, seemingly, years after the happenings of previous books and has some reasonable action and an interesting romance All in all =, a good read and I look forward to more from this author!

Now we finally have Aya's story to show how she and Julian put a stop to the madness that Cyrus spread. However, she didn't want to fall in love when first meeting Julian. They were just suppose to scratch an itch and move. Well, that isn't really what happened. She didn't believe his warning....and that is all the spoiler your getting from me. You just have to read the book.
I didn't read the books that came before, but I'm willing to do a bit of backtracking so that I can see how this all started. I received this book from Booksprout and glad I took the leap.
This book is just as good as the rest of Jayden's stories. I hope you are enjoying them as much as I have!
Be sure to start at the beginning with book number one! Reading them in order adds so much to the story as you will have the background of where it started and what has occurred to bring it to this point.
If you've been reading the series, this is Aya's story. While you could probably read this as a standalone, I think you'll appreciate the world much more if you read the series. Julian comes to warn Aya about a threatened attack, but she doesn't believe him until it is almost too late. Good story about the woman who was different than the other dragons. We finally discover their secrets and understand why Aya is so standoffish. Julian breaks through her walls. (I voluntarily reviewed an ARC).
One I could not put down I am so pleased to read Aya's story. She was always such a mystery and to see her find her place in the harsh world instead of being alone all the time was great. But Skinner, you really have to read about that part.

In this installment we have moved forward a few years and find Aya living a fairly calm life in Black Harbor until Julian shows up to warn her she is in danger. Of course she doesn’t believe him until… Both characters are interesting and likeable. Definitely a good read for me.

This is the book I have been waiting for. First you don't have to have read the other books ton follow this story, but I'd you have you know all about Ana the mysterious Siren. In this book readers again meet a new type of dragons and Ms. Chase introduces new characters I am hoping will get their time.

Aya the siren dragon aka the Enchantress of Black Harbor, finally gets her hea. Aya meet her match in Julian another sursn, who is on a mission for vengeance against a crazed sect. Lots of action and hot romance for Aya and Julian to get together. Good story. Now what's next for Black Harbor?

it was wonderful to read Aya's story, and see her get a HEA, Julian was a great Hero, and I love how she was able to change his mine on his revenge, and how the other 2 dragons Six and Axel end up.

Enchanting siren adventure with lots of action as Aya's life is threated by a madman from the past. But a male siren is close and it will take them both fighting to come out with all their scales attached. Recommended read🤓
I enjoyed this story of Sirens, two water dragons, Aya and Julian. This story tells of a cult leader determined to destroy the dragons and the fight to save their future.

It has an interesting storyline and I enjoyed the character's romance. She isn't looking for love but it finds her under some unusual circumstances. There is plenty of action and they have some real challenges to overcome.
This book was different what I thought it would be. I liked this book but not sure it's something that I could really get into. The book starts off slow but does get better the more you read. If you like paranormal then you will most likely enjoy this book.
I enjoyed reading this book 📚, it has a great storyline. I can't wait for more from this author. I received this book as a FREE ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.
