The devil had no idea the commander of his army was in love with his daughter.

Demon warrior, Thargon, son of Drogruth, had harbored the secret for more years than he could count. It was not his place to pursue the princess of darkness. She was the princess, future ruler of the Underworld and he was a demon warrior. A mating between the two of them would not be accepted. The devil sent him on a solo mission to retrieve his daughter from Earth and bring her back to the Underworld.

Odori, princess of the Underworld had been living under a spell on Earth as a human. Once the spell wore off, she found herself in the arms of her demon protector. Ten years had passed and the attraction between the two of them was still just as strong. As much as she tried, there was no convincing Thargon they may have a future.

Her stubborn demon was a warrior at heart and would follow the orders he'd received. He would do as he promised, protect her and return her to the Underworld. The stolen moments they shared on Earth, would be forever sealed in their hearts.

Only neither of them knew of the true plans the Devil had brewing...

This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW. Return To Darkness by Ariel Marie is the first book in her new Demon Obsession series. What a great start! I really enjoyed this read. You know how they say 'The Devil is in the details", well it couldn't be more true than this storyline. Odori is Lucifer's daughter and heir sent to Earth to live among humans for ten years with no memory of who she is and her life in hell. For ten long years she also doesn't remember she is in love with Thargon and had to leave him behind. At the stroke of midnight on her last night on Earth her memory returns and well, let's face Hell hath no fury like a woman.... This is a fast paced quick read that sets up for a stunning storyline and (hopefully) some well deserved chaos for the Lord of Darkness. Once again, Ariel Marie delivers a story worth reading.

The premise was interesting, the execution fascinating. Odori, daughter of Lucifer is sent to live among the humans for 10 years. All memory of who she really is is removed from her memory until midnight of the tenth year which coincide with her birthday. Her assignment is to absorb what mankind is really like, are they ready for conquest by the underworld. Thargon a demon, head of Lucifer army has been sent to retrieve and protect the Princess. He has always loved her from afar and she has always loved him. And thus the journey begins. This was a good story, a quick read.

Return to Darkness features Odori, Lucifer’s daughter returning to the underworld after having spent a decade living with humans. Thargon is the Commander of Lucifer’s Army and he is enlisted to retrieve Odori and return with her safely. However, each harbours feelings for the other but will Lucifer allow them to be together or will Lucifer send his soul to purgatory?

A good story by Ariel but not her best😢 I received an advanced copy via Booksprout and voluntarily leave my honest review❣️

I liked this story. The idea was interesting and quite fun to read as Odori the princess and Thargon the demon meet up again on Earth and let their pent up passion free. Then on the way home the fun really begins. It was a fun steamy read that kept me entertained as reading to see how Odori would convince Thargon to give them a chance and ignore their difference in station. Just a good fun story.

Princess and the Demon

Very interesting premise. The princess of He** is sent to live on Earth with no memories of who she is to learn about humans. When it's time to return, the Devil manages to send the one demon who's in love with the princess to fetch her. Yep, very interesting!
