Anandur has been one of my favorites since the beginning of this series. I love how easy going and funny he is and I have been waiting for his story. It didn't disappoint.
I liked Wonder too. She is perfect for Anandur.
My favorite is still Carol because I love a woman who isn't too perfect.
The background stories are interesting too. Sometimes, they ate more interesting than the romances.
There has been a few romances that have been too awkward for me to get into. In fact, I have skipped pages because they made me cringe like Roni and Sylvia, Jackson and Tessa and Nick and Ruth. I felt like they were therapy sessions more than romance.
In The Children of the Gods series, for me and many others, Anandur is probably the character who most deserves a happily ever after relationship. The big, gorgeous redhead with the sunny personality and heart of gold has been there for so many of the other members of his clan throughout all the books. The pay off is that he's matched to a true underdog beauty who never believed it could happen to her. The experience of reading finally the revelation of her real identity just added to the joy. Though this story lacked some of the excitement and action of previous ones, the author still hints at the underlying tensions that could still erupt in the world of these novels. The bad guys remain out there, but Dark Survivor Reunited is a rewarding read for fans of the series who know much can still happen.
'Dark Survivor Reunited' concludes the building relationship between Anandur and Wonder. They are both, though Anandur especially, are too focused on perfection. Relationships are not perfect. Intimacy is not perfect. Life is not perfect. The sooner they each accept this and the hurdles they will face, together, the better off their future will be. Also, I find Wonder too sensitive. She is easily offended and needs to let some things slide rather than silently pushing Anandur to apologize, either for himself or for society. As the story progresses, I do not think all of the changes in Anandur's personality are believable. For example, spending money frivolously on Wonder and making possessive comments when no threat is present. He is a laid back, charming guy and despite his new love, these traits are not becoming of him. Last, I expect more from this relationship and Wonder's character development in future books as the ending left a lot unfinished.
I really liked this one, too. Anandur has always been my favorite character (even though I'm in love with Brundar). I'm so happy that he has his truelove mate.
I love Wonder/Gulan. She's still a strong woman and hasn't turned wimpy so far, so I'm still a fan.
I couldn't wait for Wonder to remember Annani! That was kind of exciting and their actual reunion was so sweet.
There are still a few things that are hanging out there...Who did Anandur sense when they were in Egypt? Are Areana and Tula still alive somewhere? How is the prophecy Annani received going to play out?
The next books are either about Magnus or Julian. I'm not sure, but I don't have the same level of excitement I had about Anandur's books, but since I'm already 22 books in, I may as well keep going.
Annandur and Wonder go to Egypt to see if it awakens Wonder’s memories. It doesn’t but when they get home they are invited to Amanda and Dahlu’s house for a barbecue with others of their friends. When Amanda shows them some of Dahlu’s paintings there is one that is covered with paper. When the paper is removed Wonder recognises Annani and passes out. From then on her memories return in force. With the reunion of Annani and Wonder comes a discussion of all that happened in the past and the realisation that Annani’s half sister may have survived the tragedy. There is much to look forward to.
Back on good form again. Loved the continuing story of Anandur and Wonder. Both characters showed bucket loads of personal growth in this final book of their dedicated trilogy. A very busy action packed book this time, in fact, almost too much happened and it left it feeling rushed as parts felt like they'd been finished very abruptly. Conversely, other areas felt glossed over where I would have like more details. But I continue to love the storyline and all of the main characters. Good one for Ruth and Nick too. The big reveal was slightly diminished by having guessed in the first Wonder book. It was still satisfying tho'. Thanks.
I love the author's writing but so far I can't read any other's author writings. I love to read and I have read all my life and now I can't stop just looking for I.T. Lucas's writings. I hope that the Children of The Gods will continue and I can read the on my Kindle. I especially relate to her writings on the history of the gods and also about the paranormal. I'm 78yrs.and have been a psychic for most of my life . You write about families that carry the gene and my mother was very strong and I had a grandmother who would worn the her people before the Indians came. We were the first Spanish I medical in California
Dark Survivor: Reunited KU 306 pgs **** 7/13/21 Anandur & Wonder
4 stars. I love their story, especially Wonder’s with all the history we learn about the Gods and Goddesses. I was so happy to learn more about Annani and fell more in love with her after getting to spend more time with her and Wonder. I so hope her prophecy comes true and soon, I hate her being all alone in her dome in Alaska with such a small group of immortals living there. I want to know more of what happens with Anandur & Wonder. The flow was good, there were some filler pages but not as many as the other books had. The sex scenes were much better and I loved their chemistry, right from the beginning
Loved this conclusion to Anandur and Wonder's story. Their relationship is so sweet and romantic and i thought it played out perfectly.
I thought the reveal of who Wonder is was done brilliantly and it is good to see her and Annani reunited. Very intrigued by Annani's prophecy and also i am wondering if the man who deserted the doomers/turned Eva/touched Wonder at the airport could possibly be Esag.
Will be sure to read the next though might have a bit of break on these and let them build up a fair bit on my tbr pile.
Wonder (Gulan) and Anadur's story is a great story. It's so well thought out like all the other stories of The Children of the Gods. It was so wonderful to see the past catch up to the future in this story. I can't wait for other stories in this series that sound like they may do the same thing. I think their were hints of some unknown Gods/Immortals that actually live in Egypt secretly when Wonder and Anadur felt their presence. I'm so hoping something comes of those encounters too. I love this series and am enthusiastic about reading Magnus and Vivian's story next.
So happy for Anandur and Wonder. They deserve a happily ever after. Anandur proves he is worthy and will follow Wonder to the ends of the earth. Wonder finally knows who she is and remembers her past. At first I was afraid the Clan mother was really going to keep Wonder forever. You can see the love that Annani has for Wonder and how much she wants Wonder to stay by her side. In the end, Annani does what is right for everyone. Nick and Ruth's love endures. Another happy couple. Good ending. Can't wait for the next in the series.
I love this series. I get so wrapped up in each character, Lucas really knows how to bring them out to touch the soul. I'm an avid reader of all paranormal romance novels and my favorites are normally reverse harems but I'd give them all up to keep this series going indefinitely. Keep up the great work. I can't wait to find out what's in store for the rest of the guys and gals.
I love Anundar! He is probably one of my most favorite characters in this series and i am so happy to see him get his happy ending. I really enjoyed this book... with every new book the stories continue to peak my interest.. i just can't put this series down! I love that every character evolves and all of their story lines stay interconnected. This book is really hot and enjoyable. highly recommend. I wish I didn't have to wait so long for the next book in the series to be released...
My review is for the set of three books. I would have enjoyed this series much more overall if they were more condensed. Some of the things I would have liked to see expanded were cut short and other issues seemed too long. I also think that the author should employ a better editor. There are some places where contractions would flow much better and yet they are not used. Also the formatting could be better.
NO SPOILERS however, the secret of Wonder's origins are revealed in Dark Survivor Reunited, and it is beyond surprising! Once again Ms. Lucas adds little twists to her storyline that take the narrative in an unexpected, yet exciting direction. Wonder and Anandur's relationship grows by leaps and bounds, surpassing even his expectations. Even Nick and Ruth have their moment in the sun in this installment of The Children of The Gods. Fantastic Series.
Holy cow but was this story boring as hell, I was hoping for so much more for Anandur, it was great to finally understand who Wonder really was but between her childish inner monologues and the side story of Nick's transition and relationship with Ruth, which by the way was another snooze fest, I'm surprised I even finished the three books; I'm sincerely hoping the next ones are better, if not I'm definitely not continuing this series
This story was so delightful and interesting. I love how the author tends to put little clues in each story which will ultimately lead to another story in future books. In this instance Anandur and Wonder having a prickly feeling while in Egypt. I was so nervous that the elderly man might have put a tracker on Wonder’s belongings when he brushed up against her. Anyways I loved how this story ended up and the hope that it’s given Annani
What a great HEA. Wonder and Anandur are two of my favorites And I love that the members are expanding. This is book # 22 and there are so many stories that I am looking forward to. More of Wonder and Anandur ( wedding and a baby?). More Ruth and Nick , and the cherry on the sundae Annani and Khiann I can see this series going on at LEAST 8 more books, Come on # 23 I can't wait.
There are so many unanswered questions so many more characters from Ananni's past to find alive. I think the mystery man that touched Wonder at the airport is Esag (that's my opinion), what do you think? I would love to see these books as a TV series maybe on Netflix or something. (I wouldn't miss one episode).
As with this entire series I really enjoy the different character's POV... The world building is excellent. But I found an Anandur's and Wonder's story to be NOT funny...anti climatic... a bit clinical in the sex Dept... And more of a tie into Annani's story and hopefully the Doomers BUT I was so looking forward to this one and so very disappointed in it!
I said this before, but I have to say it again. I downloaded the first book of this series by mistake, and it was the best mistake that I have done in a long time. This series keeps getting better and better with every new character that comes along. Highly recommended!!!!!! Keep them coming, you are an amazing writer!!!!
Since the first e-book I was waiting for Anandur’s story. Along the way I fell in love with all the other characters and therefore with the Series itself. Thank you for the beautiful creation IT Lucas. Every single book is unique and wonderful. Until next one... Magnus sounds like an awesome guy ;)
Where is the Wonder character heading? She appears to be close to the source of immortals, but the reading read like she's a last minute throw in. A bit disjointed and not well thought out character. However, I love Wonder and her simple ways, but something is missing.
This is full of intriguing situations, keeping me on the edge waiting for the next shoe to drop. I literally read this book in one sitting. The Children of the Gods series is likely in the top three of a book series of my favorites. Highly addictive a nd fast moving.
This book was soo annoying with the misunderstandings. Maybe for a few chapters but the whole book made me rethink if I like Anandur and Wander together. If i read the word naive one more time im going ro just skip the chapter.. I can say that wander’s origin story is in no way a surprise because there were too many clues but definitely gave a nice lift to the storyline.
I was so excited to see another book out!! I read it all today! So very good!!! Can’t wait for the next one!! The whole series is so good! Also worth reading more than once!
I could not put this one down it was so engrossing. I feel like I know each and every character. The love between these people is beautiful. Can't wait for the next see if Annani s prophecy comes true soon or what happens with Wonders career..
Continued excellent story and writing. Love Anadur and Wonder's story. I enjoyed these books more than turned and bridget, just better characters that were able to expand their storylines.
I really enjoyed this installment of the Children of God's Paranormal Romance series. New and interesting characters. Seeing Anandur find his gated mate was touching. Good read just too short.
I ate this book up like I have all the ones before it! Love the series. After so many books The stories are still interesting to me, and I haven’t been bored yet! Keep up the good work! I look forward to the next one!
