Second and last installment of the Broken Brows MC series, Pawn starts off right where Rook ended.
In this book the atmosphere is still dark and twisted; I loved the complex storyline and the jaw-dropping turns of this opus.
It's difficult to write a proper review since most of what I'd like to say could spoil the plot. Know that all your questions will find their answer...Be careful, the Pawn might not be who you think, and was is a pawn anyway, it depends on the perspectives and with the perspective shifting several times throughout the series, Mrs Ann did an incredible job at playing with the stakes,the threats and the possibilities.
There are a lot of characters in the series, and at first I wondered why the author bothers to give us to many names and details, which was a bit disconcerting. But now that that the series is complete, I have to say that it was brilliant and seeing the whole picture is very worthwhile.
Thanks to the fast paced, action-packed, suspenseful, surprising and intense plot, I was riveted to the pages, and I hope you will, too!
PS : The whole project of the MCs, made me wonder, though, but since I dont know much how it all works, their rules and laws, I simply let myself enjoy the ride!

Let's starts off by saying this is a new author for us and I am not sure if she is to my liking or not but , we will see...
I am not sure if I am having issues with the author herself or the series itself.I will say that the author has at-least enticed me enough to continue reading the series.
Still not liking Busta as a character he is now romantically involved with Obi."
I am not feeling it !"
My mind at this point is clinging to the fact that in the last book Busta imprisoned her treated her poorly and he was going to sell you as a sex worker as well as let his brother rape her and now your involved with this same man that did all these things? Did Busta redeem himself by intervening in her and Jazzy's fate ?, we will have to wait and see...
At this point Obi and Busta becoming involved she doesn't know that he had a hand in changing her fate and this is where my issues start.The being drawn to the dark and dangerous I understand and even the feeling the chemistry toward one another that is not always of your choosing I understand that to but, did you really just swept everything that happened up to this point under a rug?
Moving on I have to keep telling myself this is a book of fiction...
Obi is still my favorite character regardless of her choice in men and but, in reality they were perfect for one another and seem to be perfectly matched for one another.
Who am I to stand in the way of love....
Getting past my issues and now getting to know more about the characters themselves and I am now feeling better that they are willing to make big changes in the club once that take care of one last piece of business.The book starts to get interesting and intense with secrets coming to life things start heating up and then they start to unravel the good and the bad I am totally glued to the page to the very end to see how it all play's out.
I will say as the story progressed we saw that there was a whole lot more to Busta then meets the eye.His own secrets are coming out and tons of drama occurring all around him and he methodically address each hit with ease.He is smarter than he looks and he is slowly redeeming himself....
I will say the plot this time around kept my interest and that is always a plus in my book and I like how the entire plot unfolded and played out and I thoroughly enjoyed these surprises we didn't see coming.

I am having a hard time connecting with the characters in this series and this has been hard for me.The only character's that I liked at all where Obi and Jazzy.After this story things might change.I have know problem with a main character that you have a love/hate relationship with but , at some point I want to be able to like a character at-least.I love reading books that emotionally engage you and I am not feeling any of that.Jazzy and Obi make me laugh that's true.Even the romance between Obi and Busta relationship was just about sex in the beginning but , when things changed between them I never felt they were really connected on an emotional level.I really missed that as I love rooting for character's when opposites attract but, wonder how they will make it work...

Busta and Oubliette seem to have formed a relationship they both feel satisfied with and it gets more intense as they continue their hot, sexual escapades. Busta also has plenty on his mind as he attempts to move his club, with others, onto safer, legal enterprises.
There’s plenty of twists and turns in this rollercoaster journey to club freedom, steamy love scenes and dramatic tension with fierce action had me on the edge of my seat in this instalment for the duet. I really enjoyed the development of Bust and Obi’s relationship and how the entire story played out.
There’s another storyline to follow, Queen, and I await with anticipation for it’s release.
King and Pawn, definite must reads, I highly recommend them!

The thing that makes me really happy is to have a new book, from a genre that I adore and to top it all if it's a new author that will make things super engaging... Oh boy.
But the doubts can make my head spin because will I like her writing? Will I like the plot? There is only on way to find out so I needed to start it soon enough.
Kerri Ann is a new author to me but let's just say that I really enjoyed her writing. It's super detailed, raw, hot, wild and so much more in between.
Pawn is her latest release and it's the second book from the Broken Bows MC Duet. Jesus. I haven't read the first two books but I really need to so I advise you to read them all too.
This book continues to explore the lifes of Busta and Oubliette. I adore those names.
Busta is fighting to keep his club and make it legit but things aren't easy when younger to do the right thing.
Oubliette is frying to find herself but when you loose everything how can you?
Let me just say that this book just made me want to read the other books first and then get back at this one.
So much has happened that will hook you up.
The plot is amazing, very detailed and engaging, full of drama, darkness and so much more.
The danger lurking behind each chapter made me keep reading and reading until my eyes hurt. I needed to know more, to read more, to see more.
I'm in love with everything and super sad because it's over.

There is all kinds of stuff going on in this book from the very first page. Picking up where King leaves off we follow Busta as the new President of his MC who stumbles across Oubliette who needs to be kept safe while dealing with this giant chess game going on with all of the players both known and unknown. I was amazed at the details going on here played out in all the non stop action. The romance part blends nicely with the story so it's like getting the best of both worlds. The end was my favorite and I can't wait to see what plays out in the next book in the series. If you like involved MC romance novels then you should really try this one. I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.

Than book blew my mind. Busta and Obi have come to an understanding and I think they will both get what they want. King, however is a different story. Busta, the brotherhood and Cap really show us what family is all about in the book. I can’t wait to read more of this series. Excellent writing with a storyline you will not believe.

Wow, what a book! Busta and Obi's story continues and what a story it is. This story had so many twists in it that it left me gasping. Kerri Ann is such a masterful story teller as she weaves her tales around her reader where you don't want to leave ever. I cannot wait to see what she brings me next. Highly recommend this book and series but it isn't for the faint of heart. There is steamy scenes that will melt your kindle along with blood and betrayal. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

Pawn is the second book in the Broken Bows MC Duet from Kerri Ann. You need to read King first or your going to be so lost. You also might want to read Rook which is available and has what actually happens to the Madox brother's in it and you see parts of the aftermath in Pawn.
I escaped. I was free. I thought I could go back to normal. I can't. Right now normal hurts. I've seen things-done things-I'm not the same girl I was. It changed me-he changed me. The bar is locked up. he Horsemen clubhouse is no place for me and I don't belong anywhere that feels familiar. I'm alone I'm broken. The only thing that feels right is my pain. Our club is in ruins. It's left me at the helm. Twists and turns took me down this path that lead to further destruction, and I know King had orchestrated it all. Thing is I'm no one's pawn. The club is all I have, and King won't take us down. We'll play this out our way. One way or another he will pay for the damage done to us, to them, to her.
I have to say where King has your head spinning from all that goes on I feel like Pawn was the payoff to all the craziness in that book. That doesn't mean that this book isn't as equally dark and twisted as King but you get more answers and understand these characters better I feel. And if you are rooting for Busta and Obi then this is the huge payoff. They are both such broken characters but together I feel like they fixed each other. They gave each other much more strength. They just fit. I can not say much about the story line as I don't want to give anything away. I will say that you won't be able to put this book down and you will be on the edge of your seat almost the entire time.

We start where book one ended. You wonder if all heck is going to break loose or will an agreement be made? I really fell for Busta and Obi, I could feel the connection they had and we get some hot and sexy times when they finally give in to their desires. Of course the relationship puts a target on Obi’s back when it comes to Busta’s enemies.
Can Busta keep Obi safe? Will he be able to get the MC’s to agree to a truce?
There are several great secondary characters that added a good element to the story. Be prepared for action, steamy moments, suspense and some very unexpected twists. I was happy to see a HEA after the rollercoaster ride, I felt it ended very well. I do have a few characters that I would like to see more of, I’m hoping that Kerri Ann will bring us their stories.

This is the second part of a duet. You'll need to read King first to understand the intense storyline and characters at play.
In Pawn, Obi and Busta have given into their attraction and formed a relationship that strengthens them both. It unknowingly also places them at risk for greater danger. As the newly appointed president, Busta is fighting to clean up house in the club but King's machinations continue. Knowing that Obi is important to Busta puts her at risk to be used in his evil games. Busta is working overtime to right the ship, unite the clubs that were once enemies and keep Obi safe and by his side. She's stronger than she knows but he knows much more will break her.
This book was incredibly intense and to be honest, even after reading King, I got a little lost at times with all the players and different games at play. I did really enjoy Obi and Jazzy (and Pandora) and loved the strength in them. Lucius "Busta" was a conundrum for me. I loved him then I hated him and then back again. As an antihero, I'm sure this is what the author wanted. I struggled with him when he was with anyone except Obi. He completely changed for me when he was with her. Loved them together. Good read on the darker side of MC life.

Let me start out by saying that Pawn is the third book in the Broken Bows MC series, so it's most important that you read KING (#1) & ROOK (1.5) FIRST! I'm not going to even attempt to give any sort of description of the plot other than to say it's the continuation of Busta & Oubliette's journey, not to mention the fate of his club, because to do so would just end up giving things away. The diabolically brilliant Kerri Ann has penned a epic ending to what was a exciting ride full of twists that kept me dropping f-bombs in every direction. And for every answer came another question, so in between my f-bombs came even more colorful metaphors, as I was so invested in this insane journey. The action paced story line provided many colorful secondaries who I couldn't tell were the good, bad, or ugly, which kept me on the edge my seat throughout waiting for that other shoe to drop. Busta & Obi provided me many sexy times that lit the sheets on fire, while their interactions were witty and entertaining. And finally it all led up to a huge finale that I never saw coming, so yeah, what a fantastic finish, and I cannot wait for the next book, so see what the original & extremely awesome Ms. Ann comes up in Queen! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Oh. My. Gosh. It has litterally taken me a week from finishing to be able to articulate how amazing this duet is. I finished the book, start to end in about 5 hours straight it was so amazing.
Join the delicious Busta for his continued fight for his club and his brothers. His family was ripped apart years ago and now the time has come for Busta to take his rightful seat at the gavel. But at what cost?
Oubliette has been thrown so many curve balls lately, she still doesn't know if she's coming or going. She hasn't had a minute to herself to figure out her own shots before this wild ride continues. Can she hold on to herself through all of this and come out somewhat whole in the end?
This amazing read will suck you in from start to finish. From Rook to King to Pawn, this game of chess will have you gripping the edge of your seat and flipping the pages desperately. Kerri Ann is ruthless in her curve balls and incredibly hawt moments. You'll be melting one minute and fuming the next with how this game will end. In Pawn, Obi and Busta have given into their attraction and formed a relationship that strengthens them both. It unknowingly also places them at risk for greater danger. As the newly appointed president, Busta is fighting to clean up house in the club but King's machinations continue. Knowing that Obi is important to Busta puts her at risk to be used in his evil games. This book was incredibly intense and to be honest, even after reading King, I got a little lost at times with all the players and different games at play. I did really enjoy Obi and Jazzy (and Pandora) and loved the strength in them. Lucius "Busta" was a conundrum for me. I loved him then I hated him and then back again. As an antihero, I'm sure this is what the author wanted. I struggled with him when he was with anyone except Obi. He completely changed for me when he was with her. Loved them together. Good read on the darker side of MC life.

Wow is all I have to say. This book is a dark, dark rollercoaster ride that does not let up until the end. There are twists and turns with each page. Busta and Obi have an unconventional love story to say the least but a love story all the same. This book will have you guess at each page and even then you will be surprised. But I warn you this is not a sweet love story with a clean happy ending, this is a dark and steamy love story that is not for the faint of heart. But if that is what you are looking for it will sweep you up. I will be honest I was not sure what I would find when reading this book, when I first started it I was not sure again if I would finished. But again I could not put it down even just to find out what happened at the end. So get ready for dark and twisty plot points, moments that make you go WTF and a story that will stick with you for a bit.

Now this is a MC story with all the blood and guts you would expect in a brutal lifestyle with dangerous characters. Realistic characters instead of MC caricatures. Terrific writing and an action-packed storyline makes this a must read. This story picks up where the last one left off and has our couple finding their way in a complicated relationship. Busta and Obi are terrific and sexy. Busta is fighting to keep his club safe and uncover the pawn in an elaborate game of betrayal. The Bows survival is at stake. This is an exciting, suspenseful, dark and dangerous thrill ride with terrific MC brothers. Can’t wait for the next story in this fantastic series. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC. 4.5 stars

This has become one of my favorite MC series. Once I started I could not put this book down. I loved Busta’s character in King and knew he was badass while towing the proper line. His relationship with Obi created so much sexual tension that I knew their chemistry would be off the charts once they gave in to one another. Busta wants to do right but is trapped inside his own prison and needs to be released. This story had twists that I did not see coming and just got better and better. Need more!!!

After reading King and Rook I wondered how Obi and Busta would work out. Pawn was an amazing addition to the series. Between the Nail bitting angst, twists and turns and a happy ending, I couldn't ask for better. I would like to know what happens with The Brotherhood, Cap and Busta, and Obi. Outstanding job

This is the second part of this amazing duet, and continues straight on from where Rook ended. This author has written a phenomenal story which is intense, dark, action packed, and with angst, twists, suspense, and surprises. I was completely captivated throughout this complex story and plot page turner, and I cannot wait to read more of this talented authors’ work. I highly recommend this authors’ work for all MC lovers!

Busta and Oubliette had an amazing chemistry in the first book and I couldn't wait to get my hands on Pawn to carry on their tale.
But Pawn far surpassed my expectations!
Between all the drama, schemes, plot twists and revelations I couldn't put the book down! Add to that the budding relationship between Busta and Oubliette and you're onto a total winner of a tale!

Second book in the Broken Bows MC and I loved it.
Once again I wasn’t disappointed.
Loved the chemistry between Busta and Obi.
There are perfect for each other.
It is nice to read about the other characters, they all have a important place into the story.
The story was well written. So many things and I had to read even though it was way past my bedtime!
I couldn’t put the book down.
It’s dark, just the way I like my MC book!

This is the second book in this series and it keeps you totally drawn in .
I worried about this book because I did not know just how it would go and the way Kerri Ann made it twist and turn had me one minute thinking there is no way , then the next think this is so good!!!

What an intense, emotionally charged book!! Kerri Ann once again has taken us further on this journey within the MC world. "Pawn" picks up right where "King" left off and continues with rivalries, blackmail, murder, love and betrayal. Be prepared for the underlying plot to have a cliffhanger but it's well worth it.

This book blew my mind. Busta and Obi have come to an understanding and I think they will both get what they want. King, however is a different story. Busta, the brotherhood and Cap really show us what family is all about in the book. I can’t wait to read more of this series. Excellent writing with a storyline you will not believe.

Gripping, Edgy and Unforgettable
Having set the scene in ROOK and KING, Kerri Ann certainly continued the "on the edge of your seat" "nail biting" storyline win PAWN. This book was nothing short of BRILLIANT. Fast paced action, confronting situations and twists that had my head spinning from the very beginning.
Pawn picks up directly following the events at the end of Rook, and Kerri Ann does not skip a beat. Lucius "Busta" Guierra has found himself in a new position, he has decisions to make, relationships to mend and a man destroyed or dead. Nothing will come easy for him, however he is determined to change the direction of his and his club's future.
In amongst all of this Busta is also faced with the realisation that Obi is beginning more to him that he would ever have thought. He is trying to keep her safe from what is going on ... but can he or will she lead him to his downfall?
All the questions that both Rook and King raised are answered in this gripping book. It's dark and twisted, but it's a book that cannot be put down. There are numerous surprises, one that I definitely did not see coming, but that's what makes this story all the more perfect. Kerri Ann has presented a story that is suspenseful, edgy, full of angst, tender, but most of all it is UNFORGETTABLE.
I can't wait to read Queen, her next story due out in 2019. PAWN is definitely a recommended read.

So this is the second part of the Broken Bows Duet. If you haven't read King yet, you must go back and read that one first. Or you'll be highly confused as to what's going on and who's who. But I will say this after my book hangover from King, I knew I had to have this book. I was so excited for this book that it couldn't come fast enough. This book basically picks up where King left off. Though I will readily admit that I was a bit confused at the beginning. But after figuring out what was going on, I will say that this book will have you saying, "Wait..... What Just Happened Again?"
Busta and Oubilette are back once again. But the big question remains will they finally get to be together and have their HEA? Or will they have to remain pinning after each other from a far?
I have to say that I did like both Busta and Obi, back in King. Though at times Busta seemed liked an arsehole. But we get to know Busta soooo much better in this book. We get to know what happened when he was a kid. I liked just getting to know him better.
