Hawk You get one chance at life. One chance at happiness. One chance at love… That is until you get two. Being left behind is all I’ve known. Left by my mother, my father, by her. Here one moment, gone the next, never thinking I’d lay eyes on her again until I did. No matter the cost, no matter the stakes, no matter where my loyalty may lie, I’m not gonna lose her again. Tessa Light can turn to dark in an instant. Happiness stripped away in a flash. Redemption is hard to come by. A chance that things can change. A second chance at life. A second chance at happiness. A second chance at love. Leaving was the hardest thing I ever did, but it was the only thing I could do. Now the choice has been taken from me, again. Now I have to go back. Now I have to face my past And him.

I stumbled across this review and had to laugh..... Y'all I really be in my feelings with some of these books 😂😂😂😂 if my mama saw this review she'd lose her mind 😂😂😂😂 Anyways fuck you still Hawk( that cover is gorgeous though)
Spoilers ahead, yes yes I ranted and cursed please don't proceed if you can't handle the bad words lol I had some stuff to get off my chest!
I read the first two books in this series a while back when I was more.....tolerant in my reading material. My intention was to do a reread then move on to this one but I remembered enough to start Hawk immediately. Now I read through their past, the h being raped and her sad circumstances and then I honestly skimmed a bit and at about maybe 60% they separate because he isn't willing to move to where she is and she can't move back to the town where she was raped (though she does later on). So Hawk leaves this woman that he loves, that he'll always love and her son who he had a sweet connection with and returns to his old life and I think it was (there's no fucking way I'm going back to check) 3 weeks later he FUCKS A OW. We get a DETAILED scene of him and Lick fucking a woman. So detailed that I can tell you he fucked her in the pussy and the ass!!!!?! At 70% of the motherfucking book!!!!!!! Like seriously what the fuck???? The reviews all talk about how sweet and heartbreaking and fantastic this book was but nobody mentions that you'll break your fucking Kindle reading this bs!! I wished I'd purchased the paperback so I could watch this fucking thing burn!!!! I don't care that they'd supposedly broken up he thought how different the OW felt to the h and that he still loved the h while mightily enjoying fucking the OW.......then oh boy..... Then later on he says every woman he'd fucked since returning home was to get her off his mind or some bullshit like that. Now the first two books pushed my boundaries if I remember correctly, because honestly Lick(H of previous book) got his name because he licked pussy so much!!!! But I rolled with that shit because his backstory was so messed up and I liked the nasty little fucker (I'm doing a reread as soon as I stop throwing up after this shit) but in this case for me to get to 70% after skimming from boredom, spending my fucking money to get to SEVENTY PERCENT to stumble across him fucking someone else........ I want to rip this book to shreds and stomp on the fucking pieces......no I didn't go on much further only enough to see the h in the hospital and the fuckwit leaving her with a OM ugh it doesn't even matter........fuck you Hawk you low down Lilly livered piece of shit!!!!!! I hope your dick rots from the tip to the balls grows back and rots all over again!!!!!!
*Deep breath*........ Fuck there's just no getting over this shit!
****Eta I skimmed to the end and he never even told her he'd enjoyed his 2 month separation so fucking much. I mean she didn't want to return to the place where she'd been fucking gang raped and for her son to ever know he was a product of that rape..... couldn't he have a little compassion for the woman he loved so much????? Maybe keep his dick in his pants during the separation. What gets my goat is that he really fucking enjoyed the scene with the OW!!! Like seriously??!!! Man I hate this vile motherfucking bastard!
Second chance h left town because she was gang raped Her son was a product of that rape Lots of other messed up shit happens to secondary characters H/h separate at 70% after having sex, after building a relationship with her son, after telling her he loved her.....3 weeks later he fucked OW and continued with more OW until h shows up 2 months later He never tells the h h had cancer that came back then went into remission after surgery
Okay it's confession time: I am a Devil's Fury groupie. Yep you read that right. I can't help it. She got me first with Sin, then Lick and now with Hawk I have declared myself a less slutty groupie. Why?? Because I can't for the life of me choose which of these men I want more!!
Hawk takes place during the same time as the previous books, Sin and Lick, so reading those two books first is almost necessary (trust me you'll eat them up). Reading them will help you with knowledge of some of the other side characters.
Tessa is running from her past, from the love of her life, and from the trauma that completely changed her life. Hawk can't move on from the love he always wanted but never truly got a chance to have, Tessa. When fate intervenes and brings Hawk's mom into Tessa's life, she feels as though she has to let Hawk know. Hawk hasn't seen his mom since he was just a small child. She walked away from him and never looked back.
UGGG!! I so want to talk about what happened to them and between them. I want to go on and on about this book but I can't because if I spoil this for ya, ya'll will hate me. And we can't have that. This book is beyond exciting. Robles has brought her A+++ game, as she does every single time. If you like MC books even a little you have to read The Devil's Fury series. I am ready for her next and have been since the last sentence. This review was originally posted on My Blissful Books
*sigh i have mixed feelings about this. I like how this story panned out, it just there's some part that i didn't like about the H. I mean he easily fall back cheating on the h when the things didn't work out his way... Yuck... Then i love one part when Cut and the H discussed about Sin and the past at the hospital, the irony was he contemplated it was wrong what his father or the old prez did the same. Still i like that he mostly devoted to Tessa even though it was kind of shitty way.
I would really give this a full five if the H really didn't do the cheating part coz that means he love the h enough to not think about his d*** .

Hawk and Tessa’s story will steal your breath and leave you captivated until the very last page. I loved Tessa’s character so so much. My poor heart bled for this strong, resilient and brave woman. And Hawk and Tessa together? I loved them even more. With the right amount of drama, suspense, healing and love, Hawk is not to be missed. Torrie has seriously upped her game with this book, amd I cannot wait for more!
ewww an entire chapter about the H sleeping (not actually sleeping) with OW at the 70% mark. descriptive and gross because he loves h soooo much but he cannot keep it in his pants for 2 mo.
This entire series is captivating, but Hawk grabbed my emotions and took them on a ride. The struggles Tessa faced and strength she had to over come some of the worst things life can throw at a person was inspiring. I literally got up mid book and pushed through some minor difficulties I was facing and put in motion steps I was struggling to get through to reach my goals. There are moments that I was mad at Hawk and put a little extra elbow grease into scrubbing my dishes. I love the family mentality of the characters about blood doesn't always mean family and these men step up. There were parts in this book where I had no idea what choices could possibly be made. I didn't think there would be a better solution and would have just curled up and cried. Then I got slammed with more obstacles, the suspense built to a staggering level. I've read a lot of books that I felt as if somethings was missing or there's a little too much of this or that, but this book is so well written that I couldn't imagine anything more or less.
5 amazing stars!! This book was in my top three books of the YEAR!! I loved it sooo much!!!
This is book three of “Devil’s Fury”. I think it can be read as a stand alone but you are going to miss so much back story.
This is Hawk and Tessa’s story. And man what a story it is. Hawk is jaded man with massive parent issues and well Tessa has them as well. Secrets exposed and demons revealed. This story keeps you on your toes!!
“..I couldn’t choose him, and he couldn’t choose me.”
I am amazed that this author can keep writing such phenomenal stories. Devil’s Fury is full of bad ass sexy men with chips on their shoulder. And boy oh boy this book has crude and sexy down pat.
Hawk is everything you need in a bad ass biker. Sexy and perfect!! My heart ached for him and I also wanted to smack him upside the head many times. This loyal man just needed someone to love! Little did you know this bad ass man had a heart of gold.
Tessa is the character who had me all over the place. I wanted to kill people for her. I wanted to hug her. I wanted to help her. She is one hell of a woman. Her past is one of nightmares. And really I don’t even think I have had a nightmare that bad. But she never let that slow her down. What a beauty. I am impressed with the author for cresting such an amazing character.
The rest of the gang makes the book what it is. I needed them. I love how this book coincides with the other books. I was worried I would forget details but the author made sure to lead you in the right direction. So many secrets revealed. It was just what any reader wants!! Ahh I can’t wait to hear what everyone thinks!!!
I wish I could tell you so much more but I want everyone to have my same experience. I was obsessed with this book. I shed tears, I got angry, and I got all of the feels. Like literally I was balling at the end. I couldn’t even control it. The writing was on point and I enjoyed that it switched from Hawk to Tessa. Torrie Robles is one author that is a must read for me on every book from this series on. I am floored by how good this series has been and I pray to the book gods that this is not the end of this series!! This is a MUST read of 2018, shit it is a MUST read period!
**I received this book as an ARC and in return gave my honest review**
First of I have to start with the cover for Hawk, that is a picture that tells Hawk's story to perfection, can see all the emotion that is the story of Hawk in that picture.
I loved Hawk's book, I don't know if it can be read as a stand alone, because I've read all the other books in the series, and for me that gave me all the back ground information I needed to enjoy the book even more!
Torrie Robles did a brilliant job with Hawk's story. Loved Hawk, Tessa and Sam! Hawk is a brilliant love story, with all the feels.
I hope all the members and all the kids get their own books, can not get enough of the Men, Women and Children of Devil's Fury MC!
I loved this book!!! You know it's 5 stars when a book gives you all the feels and makes you cry. This is Hawk and Tessa's story. You see the horrors of her past and her struggles of the present. Secrets that were buried long ago come back and have to finally be dealt with. Definitely a roller coaster ride. I highly recommend!!!
Hawk and Tessa have a story that keeps breaking your heart. Nothing about their lives are easy. I mean the connection they have seems to come easy, even after years apart from each other. But they both have serious family issues, and Tessa's been through seriously horrific events. Then there's a creepy stalker, and other surprises. The hits just keep coming!
I had issue with only one thing in this book- I am seriously not a fan of characters hooking up with other people once they are at the point where they have feelings for someone. I understand it makes sense in this lifestyle and all, but it's a pet peeve of mine. However, it just made me angry with that character, who I later forgave because they had so many redeeming qualities. Because I grew attached to Tessa and Hawk. I cried with them, I loved with them. I got all hot and bothered because there are some seriously steamy scenes in this series! I mean, wow. All around, it was a book that was hard to walk away from.
Could an author throw anymore drama in to a book? I don’t think so. We have: rape, abandonment, secret babies, infidelity, club who’re and violence. I’m probably missing something. Normall this would be great but I think the author didn’t execute her ideas well. There was enough drama for two more books.
I'm loving this series, it has everything I look for in a good MC read.
Hawks book takes place around the same time as Sin and Licks stories they all kind of link together, so I'd read those first to get a feel for the characters. Those books are so good that they are worth reading anyway.
Hawk has always intrigued me he's kind of like the Joker of the pack, quick with the humour to cover his feelings and protect himself. He's always felt alone with no real family apart from his MC one.
Tessa and Hawk have bounced around their feelings for each other growing up. They loved each other deeply but circumstances kept them apart.
Tessa moved away to start a fresh after a tradegy that changes her life. She just couldn't be around the MC anymore.
Working at one of her jobs she comes face to face with a piece of her past. This means getting in touch with Hawk the love of her life and facing a past she's not ready to deal with.
My heart actually broke for Tessa, what she went through and how she survived she's such a strong woman and I just adored her.
When Hawk sees Tessa after all the years apart he realises he shouldn't of let her go, he should of went after her. Hawk isn't prepared for the secrets that Tessa has kept hidden.
Now she's back in his life he wants to keep her but he can't leave the Devils Fury and Tessa won't go back.
I absolutely loved Tessa and Hawk they completely consumed me. Their story has me in tears at times, it's hard to read but it was necessary. These two belong together, they just have one hell of a battle on their hands to get there.
I'm really hoping there's more from the Devils Fury because I'm not ready to.let them go.
Hawks prey and one thing you will definitely be doing in this book is both kinds of preying/praying. Hawk and Tessa have a past and when she resurfaces you have a choice between loyalty and the girl. Wowzer! You will feel so many emotions reading this book! You will want to hunt, hug and hope that the Gods will bring closure to some much-needed answers is how I will best keep this to avoid giving spoilers. Let’s not forget those tears! Oh, they are angry/happy tears all rolled into one. There are some dark topics in this story, but please do not let this stop you from reading this story cause you will miss out on an amazing story that deserves more than five stars. This is book 3 in the Devil’s Fury series and each book can be read as a standalone. While you do see continuing events there is enough background to not give anything away from prior characters that you may not have had a chance yet to read and you are never felt like you are missing anything as the author gives enough details to understand all characters involved in this story. I have only read book 2 and now 3 and never felt lost, but boy do I need to go back and read book 1 it will definitely be Sin worthy. I’m going to be an Angel and zip my lips cause there is so much more I could say on this book, but the Devil won’t win this time to get spoilers. If MC reads are your choice of books, please grab this book or books in this series. One of the best MC reads for 2018!
When I first read Sin I was totally in love with that man, then came Lick and again I was totally in love with that man too but then came Hawk and I cant even describe how this book was so fucking amazing and in love with Hawk and the whole entire story of Tessa and Hawk. Torrie Robles you seriously know how to hit the heart with your writing. Your books have been so freaking amazing from the first word to the very last word in the book. I know what happened to Sienna was one of the worst that I read but you never knew Tessa's story until now and holy shit what a freaking nightmare she went through. I'm proud of her for being so strong and surviving it on her own cuz her damn family was a piece of shit but I love the outcome of her real family in the end. Hawk was sexy as fuck and badass all the way (love what he did to Tre) just picture that book cover cuz it describes him. Lots of surprises that are revealed in this book but damn all characters grab at your heart even they are bikers but what a freaking heart of gold they have. I'm not even sure who will be the next one to write about like Cruise or Rhea but I cant freaking wait for your next book. Again AMAZING with 10+ stars for me.
3 1/2 stars. The author recommended reading the books in the series in order. I read this third book in the series as a stand alone but I agree with the author's recommendation. Characters and events from previous books were referenced but more information was needed to fully understand the story. The H and h grew up together. He belongs to an MC. Eight years ago, the h was hospitalized after being attacked by members of a rival gang. The h was given two duffel bags of belongings and an envelope of $ by her father and told to leave town. She is living in LA and working at a facility when she recognizes a new patient as the H's mother who abandoned him and his father 20 years ago. She connects with the H's mother figure in her hometown and asks her to let the H know about his mother. The H makes the ten hour trip to see his mother. He finds out he has two half sisters, reconnects with the h and discovers that she has a son and left town pregnant. There are lots of pieces to the story some of which could be more fully developed like his interaction with club whores. Definitely check the triggers for this book as there are several gritty events that would be difficult for some readers.
OMG! This is an amazing story! It is so full of emotions that will keep you reading from start to finish. We begin the roller coaster ride with a glimpse into Tessa Reese’s past when she tells Sienna, her BFF, that she is destined to marry Hawking Gentry. Then the ride takes us to present day 7 years later with a hint of the nightmare that shaped Tessa’s life. We get to know Tessa’s current life and how Hawk is brought back into it and from there we are taken through the highs and lows, twists and turns, of their journey toward their destiny. The action throughout is fast paced, and their story will grab ahold of your feelings and keep your attention. The ending is the best and be forewarned you will probably cry. I know I did!
There are a few parts where you miss not knowing the MC’s backstory if you haven’t read the previous books in the series, but it’s not significant enough to distract from the overall enjoyment of the book. I will definitely be catching up with the first 2 books and can’t wait to read more of this series! I strongly recommend this as a very engaging, emotion-packed read!!
Good gravy, I did not think you could do better than Sin or Lick and Lick is my absolute favorite. What a trifecta!! There are scenes in this book I just wanted to crawl into, i.e. the bar scene. And the ending... No Words, Just perfect! Stole my heart.
Devils Fury MC series is one of my favorites and Torrie Robles has done it again. Book 3 is Hawk and Tessa's story. Hawk has had a rough go of it in life but the MC has always been there for him. And as always the past sneaks up and bites you in the butt. I am interested in Rhae, I hoping for a book for her. She sounds like a pistol. Cannot figure out who would be a good match for her though.
Tessa the one that got away. The one that he thought he would never see again. Tessa, wow, what that lady went through and pushed through is just mind-boggling. She is one strong woman. If anyone thinks she is a pushover think again. I am still on the fence with Cruise, was the same with book 2 but I still have issues with him.
This is a series that is a go-to for those rainy days and you want to curl up with a good book.
Hawk is the third installment of the Devil’s Fury series and the story made my heart ache and soar at the same time. While this novel can be read as a standalone, it’s MUCH better read after you’ve read Sin and Lick.
Tessa and Hawk, their lives full of heartache, need each other to heal but life keeps getting in the way. They grew up in the same town, connected by friends and the Devil’s Fury motorcycle club but tragedy tore them apart.
When the two find each other again, it’s by pure luck and Hawk does all he can to hold onto Tessa but she can’t go back to place where she grew up and he can’t leave. She’s had to be strong and survive on her own for many years and even though Hawk was a good person in her eyes, learning to trust anyone from a motorcycle club is a treacherous road.
The love story between Tessa and Hawk is rocky and wonderful and full of all the feels! Torrie knows how to write such real characters – I always feel as though I’m a part of their lives. Hawk is a 5 Star Must Read!!!
Let me start off my saying Hawk has moved to the Number ONE spot in my book. I didn’t think anyone could top my love for Sin but h@ll move on over Hawk is taking the spot of Number #1!!! Torrie Robles you my dear have outdone yourself. From page one I was sucked into Hawk and Tessa’s story. My heart was literally in my throat throughout the entire book. And girl don’t get me start on the heart attack you almost gave me, like seriously there is only so much a girl can take.
Hawk is an intense read with lots of raw moments that will have your heart in twists and turns. I devoured the book in one day. I just couldn’t get enough of Hawk and Tessa. The story ran deep and was heartbreaking at times but powerful at others. I am absolutely in love with everything about this book and can’t wait for more of the Fury Men!!!
P.S. I think Sam stole the show at times. He was such a cute stinker.
Due to his past Hawk is wary of letting anyone too close as all it brings is pain but there was something about Tess that wouldn’t allow him to keep his distance and she breached his walls. There isn’t a day that goes by that he doesn’t think of her but he knows she isn’t coming back.
Tessa needs to leave her past and the memories it holds behind her however that doesn’t mean that she has ever stopped loving Hawk. When she meets someone from his past that he needs to know about she contacts him for the first time in seven years and there is no turning back.
Tessa and Hawk’s story is an emotional ride full of drama and suspense as the secrets of the past must be revealed and dealt with before the healing can begin. The love and connection between them cannot be diminished by distance or time and they prove that they are much stronger together than apart. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
Hawk: A Devil's Fury Novel By: Torrie Robles ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Hawk has loved Tessa since he was a kid. And her being gone for the past 7 years still hasn't changed that. One call about his mother has him finding Tessa again.
Tessa ran away after a awful event in her life. For the past 7 years it has been her and Sam only and she wants to keep it that way.
When the past invades Tessas present how will she handle it? Can she get over the past and see what Hawk can offer?
My take on this book:
This book is a emotional rollercoaster. I have loved the Devil's Fury books from the beginning and Torrie kicked this one up another notch. You will feel the love and heartbreak through the pages. I could not put this one down. I highly recommend Sin, Lick and especially Hawk. These guys will steal your heart.
Absolutely fell in love with this story from chapter one! From Sin to Lick and now Hawk, these leading men get hotter with each new story!
This second chance romance is sure to pull at your heartstrings and drag you from emotion to emotion from beginning to end. There were so many emotional triggers in this story for me that I found myself on a roller coaster never knowing which way I would be going.
Hawk and Tessa find each other again against all odds. You would think that you could get a nice sweet smooth sailing story, but Torrie Robles had other ideas! Be prepared to cry for Tessa, hate Hawk at least ONCE and fall in love with a sweet little boy. Sam was a huge part of this story and his sweet innocence was a perfect addition to the story about a hard biker. The way Sam and Hawk connect is totally going to make readers swoon for Hawk.
Reading time for me was between 4-5 hours. Because I love this MC so much I binged the entire thing. There are great potentials for the next story and I am a fan of Devil's Fury for life.
Giving Hawk 5 stars
Review by Corrie H for Lamplight Review and Promotion **I received an ARC for an honest review
Torrie Robles I am in love with this character - I have been attached to him in the other two books but this one brings Hawking Gentry to life in such a remarkable way. Told he was abandoned by his mother when he was a young boy and then his father being murdered has always made Hawk feel like an outsider. When the love of his life who left Las Cruces years ago calls to give information about his sick mother he is floored. Tessa left after Sienna was killed and she was attacked she didn't feel safe there anymore and knowing it would bring back the demons of her past she felt it was the right thing to do - letting Hawk know about his Mother. Is it a decision she will regret or will they find their way back to each other and make Tessa feel safe again? The surprise and suspense along the way are amazing. Would Hawkings be my book boyfriend?
What an unexpected story! It's beautiful and rewarding but you're an emotional wreck half the time. There were many startling twists in Hawk and Tessa's story that caught me off guard. It's well written making the readers believe Torrie's characters are real people and one you want to be friends with. The loyalty, love and family is truly felt in this one for me.
Hawk and Tessa were always meant to be, however, Fate had other plans for them. Tessa goes thru hell and survives, barely. She has a reminder of that hellish day but it's also what keeps her going daily. Hawk had wanted to claim Tessa, forever, but she disappeared. Years have gone by and Fate, once again, meddles in Tessa's routine, called life. Tessa will have to face her past and demons but only Hawk can provide the strength to survive it the second time.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. Wow! What an amazing read! I was sucked in from the start and couldn’t put this book down. I have so many emotions swirling around in my head at the moment and trying to write my review. So many twists and turn, the events that shaped Tessa’s life and how Hawk will fit in it with her and Sam. The intensity between these two is palatable, there’s so many feels, I get goosies just thinking about everything. Hawk has always loved Tessa, but can he get her to see that they belong together and whatever’s happened in the past they can get through it if they are together? No spoilers here, just an amazing book, and if you want to see what happens with Hawk and Tessa, you need to grab this for yourself.
I was so excited to read Hawk's story! The writing flowed well, but the only thing that threw me a little was that this book happens while Sin and Lick's stories were going on. I knew certain things were going to happen, but you get them from a different point of view. I liked Hawk and Tessa together for the most part. I did get a little annoyed when they came to their impasse over moving to be together. They both were being stubborn. I hoped for a better outcome with Tessa and her family, but the ending was perfect for these characters. Sam's speech at the end had me tearing up. I'm not sure if there will be more books in this series or not, but I will be checking out whatever comes next from this author! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.
