A good book and an easy read. A year in the life of Merse, at Villa during and post 1998 World Cup when he has some highs and some clear lows on his continued recovery from gambling and drink and drug addictions. Paul is quite simplistic in what he says and how he says it, but that’s who he is. He is also quite brutally honest with his readers and, as a Villa supporter who loved him, I really enjoyed it.
