Putting Out Fires Charlie Brown, known in the streets as Red Charlie, has burned more bridges and started more fires than she can put out. Rehabilitation isn't high on her priority list, so when the smoke clears, she delves deeper into Brooklyn's underworld. Soon Red Charlie becomes a miracle worker for a notorious organization, and her rise to the top is swift. Still, she's lost the one thing she yearns respect. The streets whisper words like grimy and trifling behind her back, but not out of earshot. This ding in her reputation compels her to seek revenge on her baby sister and regain her street cred.
This book was very good , it definitely was different from part 1 where everyone in the family was against chanel , now they were against Charlie they got to see her true colors which is a user and pure evil and selfish . It was sad that Claire had to die because of Charlie’s selfishness. Bacardi finally told chanel why she always treated her the way she had , and history has repeated it self with chanel . I knew something was going to happen between chanel and pyro . It so sad that Mateo got hurt in all of it , I’m hoping Erica Hilton makes a part 3 I didn’t like how she ended the book . Other than that the series was really good and I would recommend this series and any of her other books .
Its gotta be a part 3 coming soon. I'm not gonna believe Erica Hilton left folks hanging like that!!
The change in the characters from book 1 to book 2 was crazy. Except Charlie. That heffa worked a nerve from 1 book to the next. The changes in Chanel broke my heart too. But I get why it had to happen. The drama was neverending. Plot twists were phenomenal.
Book 2 did not disappoint! Charlie is still off the chain and worrying only about herself. Her selfishness drives Claire to commit suicide. Chanel even does something that I didn't see coming. The author can really get another book from this storyline. I hope so!
Both of these Bombshell books were fascinating. The mind and actions of some people are just frightening! What a train wreck. But I couldn't stop reading to see what would happen to Charlie. Very satisfying two books! Will be looking for more from this author in the future.
