Phee has breast cancer. As heart-breaking as it is, she’s determined to be strong so her friends don’t worry. They’re a family, so if she hurts, they hurt, and she can’t allow that. But when lines start to blur between her and her handsome surgeon, trying to hold everything together suddenly feels like the real fight.

I loved this book! It continues on from the previous book and follows PHeonix's journey dealing with cancer. This is a superbly written story which is both heart wrenching and heart warming. The love and support from her inked family is just beautiful!! The characters are so well written and well rounded that you feel like they could be people that you know. It is wonderful that Phee gets a second chance and life and love!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
Very touching Hard but realistic description lived from inside that can live a young woman who has just discovered that she has breast cancer. This includes her fear of the disease, the reactions of her friends, her future whether or not she will have her old lover whom she finds 10 years later. The story is exciting, touching, but never tiresome or boring, with always, in this series, a small part of BDSM. I really like this author and her ability to tell me a story with delicate situations that she transforms, that she improves to arrive at a happy ending by a tortuous path. These characters are excellent and they remain human, with their cross and their positive sides too. Phoenix discovered that she has breast cancer and she discovers that Pete, her surgeon, is a former boyfriend. They have not seen each other for 10 years, but there is always a link. However, Phoenix is obsessed with her illness, which is understandable, and she spends her time pushing everyone away, shutting himself up. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
An emotionally charged story that will hit home with every reader. Phee is in the fight of her life, literally. After being diagnosed with cancer she embarks on a journey that takes her to her lowest low and her highest high. When she goes to her doctors appointment she doesn’t expect to run into Pete, a man she has a past with. Pete has always had a thing for Phee, and he’s given another opportunity to be in her life and he does everything he can to be there for her. He sees her as Phee, not as a woman with cancer. They spend an incredible night together but Phee thinks it’s simply out of pity. After her surgery Phee goes through a battle with depression and it’s Matt who gets her to see that she needs to reconnect with her life. Pete has been trying to reach out to her and when he finally gets his chance he leaves nothing unsaid. This story touches on a horrific disease and the struggles that come with it. But there is a beauty within the story that brings hope that wasn’t there.

INKurable follows on from INKapable. It’s Phoenix, or Phee’s (as she’s known) turn for a story. This book goes more into depth about her cancer.
Whilst at an appointment at the surgeons office, she finds that her surgeon is none other than ex boyfriend Pete. To say she’s stunned is an understatement but she’s quite happy to know that the person who will be performing her procedure, is someone she knows and is comfortable.
However, as the story progresses, there is an attraction again that they just can’t ignore and it turns out that not only does she feel comfortable, he is willing to go to many lengths to satisfy her need for a little kink too.
It was very nicely touched upon, the cancer storyline. You could tell the author had done her research and it showed.
I must admit that this wasn’t my favourite, that honour goes to the last couple, however the story was very nicely written, the characters believable and I really did enjoy it.
A short story, this time Pheonix's, another member of tattoo shop InKomplete. This sort of follows on from the previous stories as we meet the members of the shop. Phee has just been diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Going to see the doctor she finds it's none other than her old boyfriend Pete. Phee is scared and unsure of herself with the diagnosis, as like the majority of women would be. She is after all losing a part of herself that she sees as feminine, and for a while she sees her existence as her breast. I think the author does an amazing job in managing the feelings that Phee would have as a sexual woman with a Cancer patient. I like how Pete stayed strong even when she grew distance and her friends stayed constant and even helped pull her through after her surgery. Well written and liked.
Oh my goodness, Phee!! This book absolutely broke my heart as Phee gets the confirmation of her worst fear, she has been diagnosed with breast cancer. The author covers this topic in a tasteful manner but just as she stated, not all diagnosis, treatments, outcomes and personal journey's are the same. This is Phee's story on how she moves through this momentous experience with the love and support of her friends/family at INKomplete. Phee has a few challenges as she is an amazingly strong and independent woman, she views the looks of helplessness on her friend's faces as pity and her need to rely on anyone as being weak. This story although, too brief for my liking is how Phee makes it through it all and finds love at the end. Great read!!

This is the third book in the series and it picks up after the last one. I have enjoyed reading the first two books so I gave the third book a go. Having to deal with her diagnosis she goes to the doc to find that it is none other than her ex but she is really glad the person who will be looking after her is someone she knows. I love how her friends pull together even though she try’s to pull away.

In this book we see Phee face her fears when she receives the worst news possible. Now I’m suggesting that it really is best if these books are read in series order it will help you understand what is happening with the other background stories but will also have you understand that this isn’t a new issue just raised in this book. Phee goes to see her surgeon and it just so happens to be an old flame of hers, which helps ease some of her fears with what she’s about to face, but fate also has other plans for these two. I loved Pete and he’s character was comforting and exactly what Phee needs.
INKurable is the third book in the INKomplete series. You can read my reviews of INKarnate and INKapable here, both excellent little novellas for a rainy afternoon read. I received a free copy of this story from Pen and Kink Publishing in exchange for an honest review.

What I loved:
I really liked Pete’s struggle and would have loved to see more of his character. The few glimpses we got showed us a man who had a history with Phee and battled between reconnecting with a lost love and keeping their relationship professional. This tension had the chance to cause a deeper connection and rift between the characters, and I would have loved to see more of him.
I love that Joe was so present in this tale. After getting to know her in INKapable, this story showed her going beyond motherhood into the sister and friend role. You can tell that Joe reads her friend well and knows when just be present and when to step away and let her be.
Areas needing a touch of refinement:
This book really stepped away from the sexual tension and focused more on Phee and her journey with cancer. While the struggle was real and authentic, it meant that her screen time opposite Pete felt like a secondary storyline. I would have loved more of Pete and Phee to really flesh out their history and his desire for her, and to put Phee’s struggle with cancer more as the secondary line. I get that for people who are in this fight, it becomes the waking moment of every part of their world, and we really felt that. But for a romantic tale this short, I personally wanted more of Pete and the sexual tension between the two characters.
Overall:
Once again this is a cute rainy day read. One thing to note for readers, this tale steps a tiny bit away from the kink found in the first two tales. It’s still present, but the romance and sex have a stronger core focus on reforging a relationship. Overall I enjoyed this one and it was great to see hints of progression with the other characters in the story.
This is a cancer survivor story plus a love story. I liked that the author wants to the lengths to talk to individuals with cancer so we can see and feel all the emotions that Phoenix (Phee) goes through. Phee is a top tattoo artist. She does the very detailed ones. Her coworkers are her friends too. They are Blakey (her boss), Matt, Emily, Josephina (Joe). She has a best friend Nikki whom she has known for 20 yrs. This story begins eight days after Phee finds out she has breast cancer. When she goes to the doctor to find out her options she knows him. Dr. Pete Witheford is the surgeon who will operate on her. They knew each other very intimately two straight months before Pete left for the university to study to become a physician. So they were still in their teens and they jumped like bunniesfor two glorious months. Pete never forgot her and want to start a relationship with Phee again, but this time forever.
