Eavan’s world was coming an unseemly, untimely end as her step-mother told her she was marrying a man from Orthilio. A strange man from a land in which few had ever traveled to or came back from. And she was doing it today! She was the one to bring two warring together.
Whether Eavan was ready or not – her now husband Rais summoned his magic to his fingertips. The flaming swirls of magic licked at his hands as it grew, swarming and building around them – in the blink of an eye she was in a new land.
The new aromas hit her senses as she was blindfolded. Rais led her to a dragon who would test her to see if she was worthy of the honor of being his wife. A test that would determine whether she was to live or be beheaded.

This is the perfect blend of fantasy and a world set a part in time reminiscent of another era, centuries past. Filled with magical moments and superior dragons there are misunderstandings and trials. If you've been to the world of Castre before you know that shifters tend to offer aid while maintaining their snarky wit. E A Shanniak knows how to whisk you away and give you characters to cheer for. Her made up world is unique and is sure to lure you in.
Eavan is strong yet very much adrift in a whole new world. Her marriage has issues that she alone can't solve. She wants to find her place amongst the chaos and support both lands that represent her past and her future as both hold her heart. With her tenacity and sheer will, she'll save her husband and the kingdom.
