From the moment Kai Stanton laid eyes on Daiya, he knew something was special about her. But a haze surrounds them, and like a dark cloud, it shadows their relationship. What if his feelings aren't his own? Can he trust himself? Can he trust the girl he’s almost certain he’s falling in love with? With Kai’s father back and insistent on inserting himself into his life, everything starts to spin out of control. He doesn't know what—or who—to believe anymore.
Daiya Cattiva knew awakening would be difficult, but she had no idea she would find herself at the center of an ancient prophecy that could change everything. She knows her destiny is entwined with Kai’s, but how can she be sure what he feels is real and not just the allure of the demon inside her? Either way, Kai’s life hangs in the balance, and Daiya must make a choice: save Kai over the greater good, or be with Kai and risk her demon consuming him.
It only takes one touch ... the next could be their last.

I thought that Ms. White is not able to surprise me with this series any further. But she did. And it's oh. So. Good.
POTENTIAL SPOILERS IF YOU HAVE BOT READ BOOK 1.
The story continues where book 1 left us all hanging. Dayia has found out that Isaac is Kai's father and that their love is even more complicated. She thought Kai is just a boy that is destined to help her break the course and fulfill the prophecy but as the story unfolds it gets more and more twisted and dark.
Kai is not only fighting his feelings of love towards Dayia but as his own awakening is near he finds the urge to hunt all Lilituria. Now he needs to chose between being with her and protecting her.
I liked that Ms. White concentrate on Kai's struggles here. It gave me even better understanding what he is going through.
5 stars and I cannot wait for the next part. Especially because of that ending!! ❤
Even better than book one (which I really enjoyed)...
This book picks up right where the previous one left off, continuing in Diaya and Kai's POV. I do not read a lot of PNR, so it really surprises me how much I enjoy this series. It has been a while since I read book one but there were bits that recapped what happened, serving as a good reminder but not in a real repetitive way. The author captured my attention from the beginning and held it through until the end, leaving me shocked and wanting more! Devlin continues to show her true colors but does let a soft side slip out. Demi is still the sweet and protective older siser and Diaya continues trying to find her way after being awakened. Kai is also dealing with a lot after the return of his father and new information being brought to light. There were some really good twists throughout this book that caught me off guard and left some heavy emotions.
I was kindly provided with an arc in exchange for an honest review. I have given it 5 stars.
Allure is book two in a series and picks up where book one left us and the author proves just how talented she is.
This book will take you on a roller coaster of feelings as more secrets are revealed and more questions are left unanswered. Allure was filled with angst and intrigue as more and pressure is applied to the teenage couple Kai and Daiya , who appear to be the key to something much bigger than themselves.
It was emotional and fraught with drama and the story itself was fast paced, well written and very detailed without being too complex to follow. It flowed nicely and the build up to the cliffhanger ending was superb and that ending itself will leave you desperate for the next book.
I am absolutely hooked on this series and devoured it in one sitting as I greedily turned the pages, desperate to see how the story panned out.
I am sure anyone will love this book as much as I did.
***I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review***
Another great book from a very talented author… I had the pleasure of reading the ARC copy of this book. It picks up right where the last book ends, but leaves you with a huge cliffhanger and wanting more! Where is the next book Grace? I am now patiently waiting!
I don’t want to give too much away because I want you to read the book and enjoy it as much as I did! But WOW… what a rollercoaster of a book. Talk about emotional stress for teenagers. Kai and Daiya are the key to fixing everything, but will their love and trust for one another be enough to keep the thing inside themselves away?
This book brought a lot of emotion and passion. So much that it actually made me feel like I was right there watching the scenes unfold and come to life. I was very made at how the thing inside Kai made him hate Daiya and the fact that Daiya didn’t fight for Kai harder. I am happy how things worked out until the ending cliffhanger. Wooo…. I did not see that one coming.
"If their love tests true, their bond sealed, by God's blessing it will be undone." Daiya knew her Awakening would be difficult. She didn't want to be a Lilituria, one of Lilith's daughters. She didn't want to feed off of men. She never expected to be the girl of prophecy who could break the curse and save them all. And she never expected to find love, to find Kai. Kai has been single-minded his entire life, his end goal, hockey. But from the moment he set eyes on Daiya his focus changed. It wasn't normal. He loved her, yes, but she consumed him in a way that wasn't natural. And now he finds out that he is a descendant of the Dei Venatores, God's Hunters, those whose very purpose is to destroy the Liliturua. Can they follow their destiny, be the lovers they dream of being or is the risk too great?
I will admit to spending the better part of this book frustrated. I hate when characters don't sit down and talk! Kai and Daiya needed a good, long, honest heart to heart. Instead, Daiya kept secrets from Kai and her sisters. Secrets do not equal love. Then she sends him to his FATHER for information. And Kai takes his father's words as the full truth even though he claims not to trust him. GAH! These two frustrated and disappointed me. How about instead of being miserable and worrying, you try to talk through everything and see if there's a solution. If this is a prophecy-breaking great love, shouldn't there be communication and understanding?!? Too much push-pull, hot-cold to be an epic, history-making love. I will also admit from the Winter Formal on I was completely absorbed with every word. The heartbreak and pain were tragically real. The ending was dramatic and unexpected. Finally, I will admit I can't wait to see what happens next with this forbidden love.
Allure is the second book in The Lilituria Prophecy and it was really good. In this book we get both Daiya and Kai's point of view. Daiya has known for years that she was a Lilituria and she knew she didn't want to be this thing. But Kai never knew he was a Dei Venatores, he thought he was just a normal guy living in a normal world.
Daiya found out about the prophecy and she's known that she and Kai were the ones. But she didn't tell him anything about it. She wanted him to have all that he desired and she was just trying to figure things out. She should have talked to him about it but she was scared and confused. Now with Kai's father Isaac back, he's doing everything he can to try to keep her in line and keep her away from his son.
Kai's become darker in this book. In the first book, he was just a really great guy. He was just all about Hockey and securing his future. But Daiya changed that with him and he's had problems when they have been apart. But now his father comes back and he tells him about his destiny. He's become darker and more angry. He still feels so much for Daiya but he's so hurt by her not telling him anything. He thinks staying away from her is the best thing and he ends up breaking her heart.
Looking forward to reading the final book Ascension to find out what happens with Daiya and Kai.
Allure, book two in Grace White’s Lilituria Prophecy series picks up where Awaken ended. It should not be read as a stand-alone.
Now that Daiya’s awakening has started, she finds herself in an ever-confusing romance with Kai Stanton. She knows that she and Kai are the people spoken of in the ancient prophecy, but cannot seem to come to terms with how to make the prophecy come to pass while keeping both her and Kai safe.
Kai knows he loves Daiya, but also knows she is hiding something big from him. When Kai’s father mysteriously returns after years of absence, his world seems to begin spinning out of control. When his father explains to him what he is, and also what Daiya is, Kai knows things cannot remain how they are and their relationship must end in order to keep Daiya safe from himself and his people. However, quitting her is easier said than done.
Grace White continues to amaze me with this series. High school and relationships are hard enough . . . when they are between a demon and a hunter, they become downright impossible. Grace White does a phenomenal job of having her readers feel and experience the teen angst that is happening without it becoming the center of the story. Her characters are well developed and this story line continues to be extremely unique. I loved watching the struggles that both Kai and Daiya are forced through . . . both having so much more going on behind the scenes than the rest of their friends can ever realize.
This book ends with a complete bang, and I cannot wait to see what the author has in store for Daiya and Kai in the next installment of this series. 5 stars!
Reviewed by Wendy for Your next hot read i was given this book for a honest review. Amazingly writen, Book 2 started right where book 1 left off, continuing in Diaya and Kai's POV. there were bits that recapped what happened in book 1 which i was glad about, Grace White got my attention again from the very beginning and held it through until the end, leaving me wanting more, with the shocking and amazing ending, Devlin is still her normal self with partying and feeding, but so bits of her softer side at times, Demi the older sister is till sweet and protective over diaya, Diaya is still trying to find her way after being awakened & hopes the prophecy is still true. Kai is left dealing with why his father is back on the scene & in his life, with some some really good twists throughout this book which i loved, i cannot wait for more from Grace White amazing 5 stars
*voluntarily and honestly reviewed the ARC I received from the author*
Alright, I totally cried with this. There's nothing more tragic than watching two people who love each other put themselves through this unbelievable torture. You just can't help but scream, "God, why?!" every time the chapter ended. It was just so sad!
Kai and Daiya totally go through a lot of different things. She's torn one way, he's pulled in another. There was a lot of heartache in here for me and seriously, I cannot remember the last time I cried so much. The ending was a little predictable but I thought it was still a great, dramatic YA read full of high school life mixed with the paranormal, dangerous wonders. It's a must read. Without spoiling anything for you, this second installment is a must that follows two teens struggling to do what's right for their family and their heart.
Blimey, that was a full on, tension filled read. I was gripped 😊
Kai & Daiya are fully connected & in love in this book but as most readers know ... the course of true love never runs smoothly 😉
So much happens throughout. Poppy really shines as Daiya's best friend, she doesn't seem to judge her but tries to encourage her not to hide away all the time. Devlin continues to spiral out of control & Demi seems to come around, somewhat, to Daiya's side/belief in the Prophecy!!
Kai's Dad is a bit of a mystery. He seems to want to protect his Son, obviously, but also the Cattiva Sisters too!! We know he knew their Mum but I get the impression he may have been a lover or possibly he's even the two oldest girls Dad??? I don't know, time for book 3 to find it all out 😁 I'm definitely recommending this series!! 👍
The tension continues in Allure, book two in the Lillaturia Prophecy Trilogy!
Allure starts where Awaken left off, with Kai and Daiya at odds. They go back and forth throughout the book, building the tension and leaving us to wonder if the prophecy will be fulfilled.
I loved the ups and downs of Allure. So much angst, but Kai and Daiya's love was always evident, even if neither of them could or would admit it. They fight their feelings for each other in a misguided attempt to protect one another. We are introduced to new players in the game. The sister are at odds over how to deal with the whole prophecy situation. Oh and the cliffy...it is a doozy!
Don't miss this amazing second book in the YA PNR trilogy!!
This book. Oh my goodness. I am going to have a book hangover after I finish this series. Just when things are going great, BAM! I am so upset over the events that happen in this part of the story. Daiya and Kai just can't catch a break. This part of the story is just as good as the first, if not better. I am loving seeing both sides to the story, as it is written from both Daiya and Kai's point of view. We get to see them both struggling between what they are and who they want to be. This is a fantastic story so far. I cannot wait to read the next part of the story.
Daiya and Kai have their ups and downs. Daiya and her sisters are being hunted by a group of killers who supposedly were chosen by God to find and destroy the daughters of Lilith. Daiya is a descendant of Lilith. Her middle sister Devlynw is a mess, drinking, mating with and seducing humans and feeding off of them. Demi wants to leAve town, but Daiya has chosen Kai.....love.
I found the story interesting and very different from my usual devil, Angel stories. This was different. I must finished all the books in the series. Read on my friends.
I am so in love with the story and characters of this series! We are really getting into the story now in book 2 as the destiny for Daiya and Kai is becoming a realization, for both. There is some turmoil between the two that will break your heart, but ultimately the love between the two cannot be denied for long. Let's just hope it will be enough. I can't wait for book 3!
Just brilliant! ...and I thought book 1 was great. Wow! This series just keeps getting better. I am loving this series. Faced with unanswered questions and obstacles at every turn, poor Daiya and Kai just keep on keeping on. A fantastic read for readers of YA paranormal romance. I can't wait to read book 3!
So much teenage angst! That can be good or bad, depending on your personal preference. For me...little annoying but it added to the whole story. Daiya is learning more about herself, but Kai has really really learned a lot. I'm jumping straight into the next book because man...those cliffhangers!
Once again Grace White has drawn me into a world that gripped and engaged me from the very beginning to the last world that left me hanging and begging for more - when's the next book out ???
Eek! Wowza! This book was amazing...so much mystery, angst, suspense, and intrigue. The story is intense and leaves you clinging to your kindle as you wait to see what happens next. I loved it and can't wait to read the final book in the series!
This was better than the first book which is hard to believe. I am going to buy the final book now. Can't wait to read what happens. Kai and Daiyas story is so enthralling.
Wow!!! Again... Loved this book so much... Pretty sure I said exactly the same thing after finishing book 1, but it's true! And there was me thinking I don't really read books with Paranormal aspects!! This lady keeps making me change my mind! I just love this series so much...
Allure takes off where Awaken finished, so they really must be read in order.
Well, what can I say. I totally devoured this book and needed to keep turning the pages to see how Daiya and Kai's story was going to continue. Since Daiya's Awakening, she has been thrust into the unknown. She knows that her and Kai have a deep connection, and potentially the answer to the Prophecy, but she also knows that they are the 2 most unlikely partners. He is a hunter and Daiya has her demon within her.
With Kai's father now on the scene with a lot more involvement, they have both time and circumstances against them. Can Daiya and Kai find the answers each of them want and need so much? Who can be trusted, and who can't?
There is so much action in this book, there really is never a dull moment. With the involvement of all the secondary characters, it adds real excitement to the story. Daiya's sisters, Poppy, their friends from school... even Kai's Mum, and of course Heather, all play hugely important and pivotal roles in this story.
I don't want to give away any thing about the plot or what happens, as you need to experience it for yourself. Let's just say you will not be disappointed, the build-up is superb and then BAM....! That ending!!! Just brilliant! Roll on book 3.
Grace White's writing just flows off of the pages, her style is brilliant, leaving just the right amount of intrigue to keep you guessing, before revelations and drama unfolds. A must read!
I’ve been waiting for this next book since last year…….. and let me tell you……… it was amazing! The story starts off where Awaken ends, and continues the story of Kai and Daiya.
The entire concept of this series is amazing and unique. I don’t want to give away anything that happens throughout the story because you just have to read it for yourself, but I will tell you I was hooked. The characters were so detailed and I had an immediate connection to them. You were pulling for Kai and Daiya the whole time, and even when they were going through some trying times you just knew they’d make it.
But that ending…….. oh man……… that ending killed me! Why must you do this to me Grace White??? Why?!?!?! I about fell off the couch when I read that last chapter!
Book 3 cannot come soon enough! I highly recommend this series! It’s got a little bit of everything in it!
Amazing! If you have not read Awaken book one then you have to before you read Allure. I am not into Paranormal books but Grace has me hooked on her books. The writing style, plot, the characters and the details are fantastic. I need book three ASAP. My heart aches for Kia and Diya. I can't wait to see how their journey continues. No spoilers here. Just grab a copy of Awaken and/or Allure and get ready for journey.
Reviewed for TTR's Wicked Words Blog What can I say about Allure, besides I couldn't put it down and it picked up right where Awaken left off. Grace had my attention from the first page to the last with her vivid writing that brought the story and characters to life. Don't miss the continuing story of dayia and kai. Now to anxiously await the next in the series to see where their journey takes them.
Good story line, fast paced, and characters that you feel for.
Secrets. Intrigue. Despair. Hope. Lies. Love. Not a lot of happy going on in this book. As Kai and Dani learn more about each other, things just seem to get harder and harder for them. Nothing is as it should be...normal teenager? Thing of the past. What they need to learn is that they're stronger together. Trust and faith...not easily earned. Hard to work against destiny/fate.
Kai and Daiya’s story has continued, exactly where it left off in Awaken. The story line was once again riveting – something about these two just grabs my attention. It’s a paranormal romance but has a different plot line which I found refreshing.
Ms. White has continued with the dual POV, a style I really do prefer and I found it quite necessary in this book. Our hero and heroine are caught in a struggle between what their heart wants and what they feel their head is telling them is right. Throw in some nasty beings that have their own agenda and will stop at nothing to get it and you have some awesome suspense and drama.
I was very pleased that Ms. White took us back to Awaken in the very first chapter. It was fabulous to have that little reminder about where things had left off and my head was back in the game immediately.
I don’t normally pick books featuring younger characters, but Kai and Daiya are not your typical teenagers. They definitely have old souls and have a path to follow that will either save them or destroy them. They are on a journey that was laid out for them long before they were born but remember, not everyone wants them to succeed.
Now, I did find their fickle teenage indecision to be frustrating a lot of the time. I suppose it was mostly Kai that frustrated me but Daiya did as well. She was too patient with Kai and he was just to confused and harsh with Daiya. She didn’t really deserve the treatment he gave her and I’m sure her young teenage heart was a mess with Kai’s constant flip-flopping. I understand that the author needed to really get Kai’s confusion across to the reader but I found it caused the story to drag at times in the middle. I really wanted to see a more heated romance between the two but I was hit in the gut along with Daiya and Kai made me crumble. Their connection was so strong and when I felt the bond break, I broke too.
The ending was so unexpected. Kai and Daiya are amazing together and Ms. White did a beautiful job depicting their slow seductive dance but beware. Kai and Daiya are not the ones in control here. Don’t forget her inner demon and his hunter. They also need to learn to play nice in the sandbox.
To be honest, I had expected an ending with Allure, but it was not to be. Kai and Daiya will be returning to continue their fight to fulfill the prophecy and I anticipate that book 3 will be chocked full of drama and suspense. I have been swept away by this story and I anxiously await the conclusion.
I voluntarily accepted an ARC from the author un exchange for an honest review.
This book was full of mysteries, questions, answers and angst. I couldn't wait to continue reading Kia and Daiya's story. There was so many unanswered questions from the first story. Be aware that some of these questions will be answered but so many more will be brought up.
Kia is dealing with learning why his father left and why he is around again. Diaya knows that she should stay away from Kia but is struggling with this. No matter where she turns she gets no answers just more confusion. Kia's father is threatning her and her sisters. As both Kia and Diaya learn about themselves they will fight to deal with the revolutions. It will be an uphill battle that seems like it will never end.
This story made me run through so many emotions that my head was reeling. I cried, laughed, swooned, got so angry and so much more. This is a unique paranormal read that keeps you interested. The ending was a OMG ending and I can't wait to read more.
I could not put this book down! I had it done in a day because it was just too good to stop reading. I absolutely loved Allure, Grace White did a amazing job. That cliffhanger is killing me though. I can't wait for the next book in the series.
