A runaway spell is the most dangerous weapon of all.

Alpha for the few remaining Sea Shifters, Leif’s been playing fast and loose with death for years. Plagued by a poisoned ocean, treacherous sea gods, illness, and bad bargains, he’s learned to roll with the punches. Setting ancient antagonism aside, he joined a group of land Shifters, pledging both his help and that of his pod.
A vulture shifter, Moira embraces her life on Arkady, a small polar cruise ship. She faces problems—ones that may kill all of them—but at least she’s free. No more sneaking around hiding from Vampires and not having enough magic to shift, courtesy of short rations and toxic air.
Leif yearns for Moira, but Sea Shifters don’t mate with their land cousins—ever. Besides, they have their hands more than full. Not only is there no time for love, there’s barely space to breathe as they wend their way through a volatile obstacle field littered with demons, hostile gods, and ancient horrors bent on their destruction.

"Leif is the leader of the Sea Shifters and even though he's attracted to Moira she's not a sea shifter. Moira is vulture shifter, both have been loners but now Moira is seeking connection and is drawn to Leif, but doesn't feel like she can have him.

The team face many dangers as they make their way to Siberia to repair the rift, including evil gods stealing magic, petulant gods that act more like children, as well as Fae and Fairies willing to fight on their side.

I loved watching Moira grow and blossom, recognizing the unhealthy relationships she's had and opening herself up to love and be loved by Leif.

The story starts out slow, then get's faster and faster as they reach the big fight to close the gate and keep evil from taking over the Earth. This book was the best of the series."

Since I have read the others in this series I jumped right into this one. There is different in here just like we have nations which marks it right away unique in its own way with her stamp. The action and the heat continue with you forgetting your place and time escaping with them. Leif and Moira is in this one for their story. This one is more intriguing thanks to their differences but love usually works magic on that sort of thing. This has been a series that you had to pick up each one and not quit until you knew what each contained with this one even more so. Being this place was so different you are easily captured. I so enjoyed this series with how she weaved her magic in the worlds and used the words to give much satisfaction with the stories. The characters will not be soon forgotten either.

Redeemed: Bitter Harvest Book Five
by Ann Gimpel
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Redeemed is book 5 of the Bitter Harvest is the last book in the Bitter Harvest Series. I have to admit that every time I start a new book written Ann Gimpel, I’m so excited because I know that it will be just as good if not better than book 4. I enjoyed all the characters on board of Arkady. This gives the reader the chance to read about Leif and Moira relationship, these are two people so different but they are just right for each other. It's fun to spend time with the characters we already know and enjoy. This book allows the readers to get to know Leif the Alpha of the Sea Shifters and made me enjoy Moira who is a vulture Shifter character even more. It's a joy that Leif and Moira turned out to be mates. I didn't see this turn of events to happen. Leif has played fast and loose with death for years that he’s learned to roll with the punches. Moira is one of Arkady original crew escaping Ushuaia and as usual she steals nearly every scene she’s in! There is a lot drama with a few surprises. There are five full books in this series that if you to understand their struggles, their triumphs and the finding of mates you must read the entire series in order for maximum enjoyment. It’s exciting, compelling, and a fabulous read. This series is one of my favorite by Ann Gimpel, it's explosive, beautiful and perfectly written. This series can be the perfect weekend read. As all of her books I have read I have enjoyed them all. Overall, this was another outstanding book of the Bitter Harvest. The world is definitely broken in these books. If you enjoyed the previous books in this series, you’re sure to love this one!

I can't believe this series has come to an end!! I abhor endings, and I have a habit of not ever reading last books (my own personal form of denial) but there was no way I was going to pass on this one. I'm delighted to say that eschewing my personal rule of not ending a series was the best decision I could have made. The entire series has been an action-packed, heart-racing, passion-induced roller-coaster ride. I happily could have stayed on that ride for the rest of my life, but since it had to end I'm glad it ended like this. The story has all the adventure, drama, betrayal, surprises, suspense, passion, love, anger, pain, and mythological creatures anyone could ask for. Ann's grabs your heart and steals your breath in the first pages, and doesn't release her hold until you have reached the end. I always sink into a book funk after finishing one of her stories and have to change genres for a while to snap myself out of it. That is how I know a story has truly moved me. That is what I have experienced with every single book in the Bitter Harvest series. I encourage anyone who hasn't picked up a book by Ann Gimple to start with this series. The series must be read in order to be fully enjoyed, but you won't regret it for a moment.

What an ending to a fantastic series. Only bad thing is I DON'T want it to end. A lot of action, surprises, suspense from beginning to end. The world building in this series is both fantastic and scary. In this book we also have a first, at least for me, that involves the emotional breaking of a long time shifter bond. But we also have the joy of love and being newly bonded within a "family", a happiness the shifter has never had, or thought she would ever have, in her very long lifetime. If you've read any of this series, you know we have oodles of magic both good and evil in all shapes and sizes. The author brings to life shifters of all types, vampires, mystical creatures, mythical Gods, and of course a human or two. She does this blending of characters in amazing fashion throughout this series, but especially in Redeemed. I will miss the adventures of this amazing Dystopian Urban Fantasy.

Wow, what a rollercoaster ride! The whole series has been a mix of all sorts of emotions: Love, Hate, Fear, Anticipation and all of the others!
Just because this is fiction, doesn't mean that you can't apply real thoughts, feelings, inter-race interactions, co-operation and many more.
As for the story itself, I just couldn't put it down. Each time I reached the end of a book I was in despair, waiting impatiently for the next one.
Luckily for you, this is the last in the series so, you can go get the whole set with no wait time!
The scope of characters is amazing with a terrific story line and, who knows (god forbid) this type of scenario could even be a reality if some of the big power countries ever went overboard with nuclear or germ warfare. Fingers crossed that never happens.
Anyway, Ann Gimpel has done a great job here and I sincerely recommend this to all.

Amazing! This series has been so much fun to read. While it has many people In the story this on is center around Leif the alpha of the remaining sea shifters on earth and Moira a vulture shifter who has been trapped on Ushuaia for a decade. With other female shifter and a group of male vampires turned shifters. They all make thier home on a ship called the Arkady. Leif is draw to Moira but his kindaughter has alway mated with sea shifters. Right now the arkady is headed to the Wrangle island in the arctic. A new threat is on the way and the key lines are weakening. There is a horse goddess, fae, faeries and lots of bad guys with tons of bad guys. Story is full mystery, intrigue, suspense, drama, betrayal and more. It's really amazing! I couldn't put it down and I didn't want it to end.

A fantastic conclusion to the Bitter Harvest series. If you haven't read books 1-4 run out and get them. Then settle down for a new take on evil, shifters, fae, Gods and Goddess. Moira is a shifter bonded with a Vulture. Leif is a dolphin shifter. They are interested in each other, but sea shifter and land shifters don't mate, more than that, evil is running a muck and that challenge comes first. Our intrepid group heads to try and end the cataclysm of evil. I don't want to post spoilers, some of the comments shared in previous reviews, are spoilers to me. Lets just say there are twists with the Bondmates, the sand can do "wierd" things and the world building continues to amaze. Thank you for the opportunity to read this early. All opinions are my own.

Redeemed is the fifth and final book in the Bitter Harvest series. The book can be read as a standalone. But it would make more sense if you've read the previous books first. There is violence and use of magic. The sex is hot and steamy so definitely 18+.

The book blurb adequately describes the storyline so I'm not going to repeat that info here. The author did a great job of explaining what is going on in the world. This is not your typical shifter story...and then add in other supernatural entities into the mix. The storyline will keep you guessing what twists and turns will be revealed next. It kept me riveted. This was a series that I enjoyed reading.

An awesome ending to this series with all the characters from previous books included to round out the story. This final is about Leif and Moira who are complete opposites since one is a Sea shifter and the other Land shifter. Old ways of thinking where mating is concerned have to be changed as they can no longer apply. A well developed ending but the battle itself was a bit short in comparison to the rest of the story. My recommendation to anyone reading this series is that you beginning with the first book of the series so you don't get lost in the shuffle.

Woo-hoo! Now that's what I'm talking about.
Dang, I thought this group wouldn't get their happily-ever after. I must say that it's hard losing those that meant the world to you is hard enough without having evil beating down your door. With the ever-going war between good and evil, it seemed like a loosing battle in the end-- who knows what lies ahead. But, with the love of family and friends supporting and surrounding you, inside and out, winning the war doesn't seem as unattainable. Cheers to warm waters, open fires and easy sailing!

Just another good book by Ann Gimpel.

I love Moira and Leif's story, good for Moira standing up to her bondmate. Nobody should ever have to stand for any type of abuse. I loved that she found a mate and bondmate that deserve her and can treasure her. The part about the gods and goddesses was fun to read, tempers, tempers, tempers...

A must read if you read the previous 4 books in the Bitter Sweet series.
