Time Travel Romance
High-School Sweethearts Reunite to Solve a Murder in Time to Save Mankind in SOME TIME AWAY a Paranormal Time-Travel Romance by Marilyn Campbell

-- Present Day and 1927, Crystal Island, Off the Coast of Southeast Florida –-

Tales of ghosts and paranormal activity throughout Crystal Island entice Noah Nash to set his next horror novel in the Davenport Hotel, off the south-east Florida coast. But his reason for bringing Maggie Harrison on as an assistant is entirely personal.

Working for a temp agency, Maggie agrees to the assignment, doubting the now famous author will even remember her from their high-school days.

But, unbeknownst to the would-be lovers, they have been selected by an otherworldly organization to travel back to 1927 and solve an impossible murder at The Davenport. Succeed and a happily-ever-after is theirs. Fail and they will lose much more than each other.

Marilyn Campbell has been writing fiction novels, nonfiction works and screenplays for nearly twenty years. A true thrill-junkie, she has jumped out of an airplane, raced around the Indy 500 track, driven solo throughout the United States and believes a great roller coaster ride can cure whatever ails her. She resides happily in Massachusetts with her daughter Joie and their lovable four-legged companions, Sweetie and Milk-Dud.

All of my "old" paperback books are still available in unopened condition on my personal website (autographed if desired) but I am in the process of getting them all into e-book format.

A great story of time travel, and romance with a slight twist.

Our main characters knew each other at school but each didn't really think the other would be interested in them. Fates step in and Maggie is offered a chance to work with Noah as his assistant on his next book set in a haunted hotel. Once there they are swept up in the mystery surrounding the hotel and a fairly daunting task to perform which involves travelling back to the 1920's.

Great characterisation and descriptions bring the story to life.

This was so enjoyable to read, and very satisfying. Practically every happening was unexpected, but made sense in the story. I became invested in all of the characters, and couldn’t even guess what might happen next. The story was excellent and exciting, and the pace was perfect. I’ve read all the books in this series and can’t wait for the next book.

LOVE IN PAST, PRESENT, and FUTURE

Great time travel novel and sweet love story. Can’t wait to read more from this author. Two friends meet years later and join together to solve an unknown crime within 5 days or they will remain in the past forever. A real page turner. Enjoy!

Some Time Away

The abstracts has a job for Maggie and Nash. They are on Crystal Island and were transported from 2018 to 1927. To get back to their own time they needed to save someone.

Not knowing how this book was going to be when there were possibly some extraterrestrial or something in the book, was almost a turn off for me. But it worked. I enjoyed this one too. Thanks. More please.

synopsis:
maggie is on a temp assignment to famous author noah. maggie remembers noah from high school and has always regretted that noah wasn't more interested in her. noah, meanwhile, was a geek, and believed that no one like maggie would be interested in him. he plans to change things, though. noah is planning on writing a book about ghosts, and what better place to do so than the hotel that is rumoured to be haunted because of several murders that happened back in the 20s. when maggie and noah are transported back to the 20s and told that if they want to get back to their time, they need to stop something from happening, but aren't told what, they are thrown into the midst of the intrigue.

what i liked: the connection between noah and maggie. i also liked the glimpse of the 1920s. there don't seem to be enough books written about that era.

what i didn't like: the supernatural aspect of beings having to do things right and i don't know was a little confusing.

Once again, Marilyn Campbell puts the wow factor in a new, sexy time travel romance. It has all the right ingredients for a book that I had a feeling I would enjoy, and I was right. It's got time travel, ghosts, and of course, romance. What more could a romance lover want? The love scenes are steamy. (My glasses fogged up quite a few times. Maybe some had to do with the humidity in the house, but maybe not!)

I love Maggie and Noah. They were good friends back in high school, and lost touch. Noah has apparently turned into a hunk, and he's now a successful writer. Maggie is hired as his assistant and they are staying at a hotel that's haunted- and then the big whammy- they're transported back in time!

This is a fast paced excellent story that will thrill you. Don't pass this one up if you love time travel and ghosts. Marilyn Campbell delivers.

One of the best time travel books that I have read so far. The story is well presented and flows beautifully from beginning to end. I have read four of Marilyn Campbell's books so far and have never been disappointed with her story telling. She is one of my favorites. Thank you, Marilyn!
