All I want is to do something right, which is why I fix some woman's car for free. She's not supposed to bother me about paying me back. She's not supposed to find the letter meant for someone else. Most of all, she's not supposed to get to my heart.
As soon as I realize she's in the same position as me, I know we both have a chance to finally move forward from the past, and from the mistakes. Except for me, one mistake seems to be lingering... in the form of an old fling and a positive pregnancy test.
Loss is something that overshadows every aspect of both Trev and Sera's lives, prompting poor decisions and leaving chaos behind. Everyone holds Trev responsible for his stepbrother's death, and Sera experienced a different loss that she struggles to get over while her life spirals out of control. But like recognizes like, and they see in the other someone with far too familiar struggles, and this draws them together. As real life often is, Trev and Sera’s story is painful, raw and messy, with the lines of right and wrong and things like prudence, expedience and propriety being blurred and smudged. These two are such a mess. A huge, sad, heartbreaking, beautiful mess. A mess you can’t bear to look away from as they sort through piles of problems, complications and debris until finally, at last, the deep, abiding love of a lifetime is what remains.
Kidman once again leaves pieces of his soul scattered throughout this book. His writing is vulnerable, gutsy and credible, with spectacularly flawed, authentically human characters that bewitch the reader with their deeply emotional, heart wrenching journey to love. One of the things I love about this book is that parts of the story are told through letters. Actual ink on paper letters, which is becoming a lost art. It requires slowing down, unplugging and ignoring distractions as well as some degree of introspection. It made the characters that much more real, the fact that they took the time to compose in their own handwriting, sorting through, crafting the sentences, spelling out thoughts and feelings and scribing them on the page, letter by letter and word by word. Trev and Sera's words and story will own your heart and touch your soul, so don’t miss this emotional, evocative, phenomenal read!

When a Man loves💘 a Woman....He can do Her no wrong....
I loved the writing and this story by male romance💕 author Jaxson Kidman! However, the book is full of angst, heartache💔 and heartbreak💔. If you like realism in your adult romance reading, this is a great book for you.
Trev🐺🍆🌋 is a gritty, realistic guy who probably over thinks every thing concerning his relationship with Serafina💃💋, and his past relationship with Becca, a young woman that was engaged to his step brother.
The human mind runs to excess, especially when there is time for reflection. No one knows better than me. In the long sleepless 🌙nights, thoughts come and fill my mind with the past mistakes and a devastation I could not change. What if, and if only, are constant reminders of the shortcomings of being human.
Trev was such a beautiful character. Made you want to just wrap your arms around him and tell him and show him that he is loved and worthy of being loved.
Serafina was lost and alone. Walls wrapped around her so high and so thick. Trev challenged her, he showed her love.
Two souls, so lost, alone and broken by life, that once their paths crossed, it was such a beautiful tale to read how they found each other and allowed each other in and to give each other the love and acceptance that was lacking in each others' lives.
Jaxson has this ability to weave a story with characters so capivatingly beautiful which sucks you in straight away. From page one Jaxson makes you fall in love with their story. Even after you finish, their story stays with you.
I always try to leave a review. Mine are pretty basic. Love the characters, loved the story. However, this book goes beyond my generic review. Yes I loved the characters and yes I loved the story. But this book made me think really hard about life an choices we make on a daily basis. I was a little confused at the beginning. I didn't understand what was going on. I'm glad I kept reading. I'm glad you kept going even after all the NO or not interested answers. This book reached a depth in my soul that I couldn't even explain to my therapist. I recently lost my mother in law to cancer. She was more of a mother to me than my real mother. I too wrote letters. Got dark, depressed, and felt that everything was wrong. It is amazing how this author not only captured the pain of every character but found the balance to each of their lives. I can't wait to read more even if it's not the same depth. I used kindle unlimited to read this book, but this time I am buying it. I have never done that before. I don't think I have had a book move me so much. I read A LOT. So that is saying something. Please read.
Just wow! Jaxson Kidman takes you on amazing emotion journeys through his stories and he has done it yet again. He is forever a no questions asked one click author for me. He knows how to reach every emotion had with words. Happiness, sad, angry confused, It’s just amazing how the story can reach you. You get to meet Trev and Serafina. Two incredible people who are very flawed by circumstances of life. When they meet by chance it’s an instant connection and attraction. Maybe they can see the flaws mirrored in each other. Whatever it is it pulls them together. They are both stuck in the entanglements of people and their past, but it’s as a comfort and a way to feel. It is such a relatable story as only Jaxson can bring to life. Everything Wrong with Us will take you on such a journey where you get to experience all the emotions and feels the way Jaxson Kidman brings it. I highly recommend this 5 star read.
Jaxson Kidman you always seem to amaze me. Everything Wrong With Us is an amazing book. When I started reading I was confused, I wanted to know who the letters are to and how Sera and Trev meet. Jaxson made you read and find out their stories instead of just putting it all at the beginning. The farther you got into the book the harder it was to put it down. Sera being the lost girl in college just going through the motions of college life. Getting comfort from a man that was wrong for her in every way. Trev going through a hard childhood and even as an adult never being good enough for people around him. Finds comfort where he shouldn't. Outside of a college party they meet. It was that moment they knew their lives had forever changed. Now they just had to get past the dark secrets each one held. This book is great, deals with issues that people turn away from. Thank you Jaxson for always pushing for what you want us to read. Pushing boundaries. This book I highly recommend.
Wow! This book will grab your heart from the first chapter and squeeze it until the very last words. Such a dramatic and deep love story about Trev and Seraphina and the brokenness they've endured their entire lives. Trev has shouldered so much heartbreak and guilt which has caused him to make decisions that have put his happiness and well being behind everyone elses. Both Trev and Sera have written letters to try to deal with their emotions that they have kept hidden from everyone in their lives. They find each other literally by chance and are immediately drawn to each other and slowly learn to trust and discover who they are in each others arms. They both learn honesty can set you free.
Jaxson has done it again with this book. His characters are so well developed and intriciately complicated but have such beautiful hearts. This is definitely a must read.
I love that I can read the blurb and think I have it all figured out only to be reading a book that tells a very different story. Somehow the blurb and teasers fit it perfectly. Once again this romance is gritty and honest and the characters have built themselves behind walls of secrets. You can’t always believe what you see. Trev was blamed for his stepbrothers death, the one with the football career ahead of him. Whilst Trev is a mechanic and a huge disappointment to his stepfather. Seraphina or Sera is attending college but not really enjoying the experience. She is lost and is trying to find her way and she thinks she’s found the perfect distraction. A relationship based purely on needs and rules, number one no feelings allowed. That is until she runs into a stranger at a party. I could tell you more but this is not my story to tell, you are going to have to read it for yourself.
Two damaged people working their way through pain in ways only they understood. Both crossing lines that led to guilt and hiding their choices. But when Trev and Sera meet something transpires but those bad choices take top billing.
Trev fights demons surrounding his brother's accident, the secret he guards of his brother's fiancee and the hate that is still smoldering deep down. Sera seems to be punishing herself by making decisions that could end in suffering for herself and others. Almost as if it's deserved. But she and Trev are like a balm to each other, temporarily soothing but never healing.
In a world full of self doubt, self punishment, accusations and personal demons, two messed up souls find comfort and understanding...who are we to judge!
Will I ever read a Jaxson Kidman novel that doesn't rip my heart right out of my chest and stomp it into a thousand pieces?! His writing is so poignant and beautiful; his characters so real and brutally, heartbreakingly damaged. I can feel his pain oozing from Kindle, even though I'm done reading.
Trev and Serafina both have demons riding them, especially Trev. Their pasts still have their grasp on them, so them allowing each other into their lives is a dicey prospect. When they met, you just knew things were gonna get messy, and they were. Gritty and raw and messy. But pretty beautiful in that achingly painful way that only Jaxson seems to have.
Thank you, Jaxson for breaking my heart yet again! And for piecing it back together again by the end of Everything Wrong With Us.
Well Jaxson Kidman has done it again... Another fantastic book that by the end, I'm left feeling like I had my heart ripped out and put back together again. I love that feeling!! Pleasantly unexpected-- Too many times I thought I knew where the story was headed and so many times I was wrong! The story of Serafina and Trev finding each other in the crap world they've been given is beautiful-- tragic, but honest and real. I would say that this book, perhaps, made me more angry at the supporting characters than I normally get.... I felt very protective over Trev. I anxiously waited for his HEA... in a Jaxson Kidman way of course. I was completely emersed in this book from beginning to end. EWWU is 5 Star worthy! Go, GET IT NOW!
I have read every one of Jaxson Kidmans books. I love everyone of them. They all pull you in from the first chapter. Everything Wrong with Us is no different. I laughed at times and cried at other times. The things Trevor and Sera dealt with in their lives broke my heart. The way those two were able to connect with each other because of what they had both been through only strengthened their connection with each other. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND everyone read his books. Especially this one. His books will touch your heart every time. Thank you Jaxson Kidman for another amazing, pull at my heart strings book. You are a very talented writer. I look forward to many more to come.
Jaxson kidman is a amazing author. He puts you on a ride of your life that you know you never want it to end.
Trev is an amazing person the things he goes through. He loses his step brother in a tragic accident. Everyone blames him for his step brother death. Trev also blames him self. He doesn't have a good relationship with his step dad. He also ends up having an affair with someone he shouldnt.
Serafina is mourning the lose of her best friend that she lost. She ends up having a affair with her professor. Then she meets Trev and its beautiful. At times though I wanted to slap the pear of them.
I can relate to how Trev was feeling as I lost my step brother it was an emotional read.
I highly recommend this book. This author is truly amazing.
Wow jaxson kidman as done it again he truly as created a masterpiece.
Trev is suffering with the lose of losing his step brother. He doesn't have the best relationship with step dad. He also as some daddy issues. He writes letters to someone but never send them. Trev also as affair with someone he shouldnt.
Sera is also suffering from lose. she lost her best friend. She is lost and ends up having an affair with her professor.
When Trev and sera meet its kind of love at first sight for them both. At times though I wanted to slap them both.
This book made me cry as it toughed me on a personal level as I lost my step brother so I know how Trev was feeling.
I highly recommend this book you won't be disappointed.
Don’t even know where to start about this book!! I laughed, cried and wanted to throw something!! Absolutely fell head over heels in love with Trev, what he’s been through and to still put others first was just amazing...I think he’s my new book boyfriend..loved the writing letters, the doesn’t happen anymore!!! My heart went out to Sera that would be horrible what she went through....they were meant for each other and so glad they found each other!!! Don’t think twice about reading this just do it, you won’t be disappointed....Jaxson Kidman is truly gifted and talented!!!
Heartbreakingly beautiful. I absolutely loved this story. I have never hated & loved two characters more than I did Trev & Sera. Their chemistry is amazing, but what really captivated me was how lost and broken they were, until they found each other. Mr. Kidman has the unique ability to go from past to present without losing the flow of the story. The complexity of the characters & storyline keep you on the edge of your seat waiting to see how the story ends. I can not wait to see what he writes next!!
Jaxson has such a way with words & heartbreak. The words of tragedy always strike a cord. You feel the emotions of Trev after loosing his stepbrother page after page. You experience the inner turmoil of Serafina as if you were there. For me the story of Trev and Serafina is tale about acceptance, accepting that you're not at fault, accepting that it's okay to move forward, accepting things aren't always what they seem, it's a book about how everything wrong can be exactly right.
Wow! This book is fantastic! It made me feel so much from the first page to the last. Whilst reading the beautifully written story of Trev and Sera, I had butterflies in my stomach, my heart was pounding and I was desperate to find out how their stories came together and developed. The author also dealt out a huge dose of frustration and anticipation and my phone was in serious trouble as I kept wanting to fling it 😂 It was so raw and heartbreaking and had twists and turns...I just couldn't put the story down. It is a definite must read and I'd recommend it to everyone!❤️😘
Yet another emotional rollercoaster of a book by Jaxson!!! With every new book that is released I find a new "favorite book" of his. But I know that's not true. Because there will another "favorite book" released in the near future. What an unbelievably talented author! This book did not disappoint one bit. It is a story of two people that have loved, lost, and and loved again. They seem to have fallen into the dark. But together they made it into the light again. Just a pure emotionally charged story.
Two souls doing everything wrong, coming together as right.
Sera and Trev are both broken souls doing everything wrong... But when they meet, they are instantly puked together. They bond and fall in love but will the wrongs around them, destroy them?
Sera and Trev are intriguing characters who are just trying to survive after losing things that meant so much. There is a little piece of each of them that I could relate to and understand why they are the way they are and doing what they do. They have a love story worthreading. Definitely recommend.
Jaxson Kidman, every time you have a new release I think 'this is the best one yet" but I would have to keep that title for this release. I think Trav has been the best male character you have written about? and that's saying a lot when you think of everyone else you have written about (especially the St Skins guys!). This book is the story of 2 lost souls finding each other and finding a way to fight for what they deserve.....each other.
How everyone deals with intense loss is personal and in this book it’s absolutely raw. Jaxson Kidman puts it all out there and lets it progress naturally. The emotion of this story is so real and it never come across as forced. The character build up is incredible as well. The sharing of their personal moments, their shared moments, thought processes and, oh, those letters…just sets this story apart from everything else. This is the first book I’ve read of Jaxson’s and must say it won’t be my last.
This is the first book I’ve read by Jaxson Kidman and it was so good! He wrote a beautiful story about two people, who learn to trust one another and fall in love. Their past experience with life and relationships made them very cautious to open up to people. I love the way Serafina and Trev were developed throughout the whole story, and they way that they not only grew with each other, but on their own. The way they start to let each other in through a back and forth dance with each other, and the letters they write to each other kept me reading page after page. Well done, darlin!
Trev and Sera both had past that left them broken, when they met they both knew there was something there between them, but they both tried to deny it. Sera finds a letter Trev wrote, it wasn’t meant for her, she knew that, and it started to chip at her heart. Trev doesn’t want to read Sera’s, letters he wants her to tell him about her pain. You see the loss they went through and how they coped with it to make themselves feel better, but then they met each other, the chemistry was instant, but will they finally be able to let their walls down to have the happiness they deserve.
This man can write. I've somehow missed this book until now but I've finally read all of Jaxsons books. This is another emotional read. This author has a way of writing deep emotional but real books. His characters are real and easy to identify with and his words make you care. I cannot say enough good stuff about him. This was another heart rending story, full of emotional scenes with characters you just end up caring about. Read it then search out his other titles. You will not regret it.
Jaxson has done it again. Everything Wrong With Us takes you on an emotional rollercoaster of a journey, with Trev and Sera fighting their demons. Their pasts threaten their potential future, and until they can learn to accept their imperfections, they’ll never have a chance at real happiness.
Every book Jaxson writes pulls you in, makes you feel every emotion along with the characters. You’ll want to shake some sense into them at times, as well as laugh and cry. Exactly what a good book should do.
I'm sat here mopping up tears, tears that started and just wouldn't stop. Jackson knows exactly how to weave the story to wrench you in and throw you out. Honest, truthful and heart wrenching the story of Trev and Sera carried me from first word to last. I just couldn't stop reading - I needed to know what would happen and how they would end up. Thank you for another read that hit me right in the heart! Gutsy, enlightening and most definitely beautiful
Wow.... I shouldn’t be surprised that after reading “Everything Wrong With Us” that I would feel like I’ve just ridden a wild roller coaster ..... but Jaxson Kidman never disappoints his readers! Trev and Serafina, two separate lives, both broken and hurting come crashing together.... plenty of twists, full of secrets and the sparks, they did fly! And let’s not forget Jaxson’s signature “steam”!😈. Another amazing read, my heart is full! ~Angie❤️
This is the first time I've read anything from Jaxson. I really enjoyed the book. The writing was impeccable and I'm thoroughly impressed! This story of Trev and Serafinas hard life is sad but unfortunately real life for some. It's nice to see someone write real life and bring it out to those who may never see it. I smiled, cried, and even was mad at points. I loved the emotion that was brought to these characters. Great story♥️
