An American writer shares his relationship with the Hindu spiritual leader Krishnamurti, a friendship that began in Hollywood when they were both teens and continued throughout their lives
Hey, it's hollywood. But the appendix in which K and friends discuss the (im) possibilty of the survival of the ego after death is not to be missed. Much here, too, if you happen to be interested in the history of Theosophy.
I enjoyed this book... to a point. It doesn't contain much and is spaced out to hide that. What I was very disappointed in is Sidney's neglecting to mention the REAL reason for Krishnamurti's dispute with Rajagopal - the fact that K. was having an affair (well known) with Rajagopal's wife for many years. A serious omission, and he must have known about it - it is not for us to judge K., who was a giant, but not perfect... obviously. However, I prefer transparency and honesty.
