A freaky-delightful read. Not for the faint-hearted though. A must for horror fans like me. Will be looking forward to more books from the author. Kudos!!

The writer has come a long way. She wrote this years ago and compiled it for a project which went big. The book is not edited. However it is a vertu creative, truthful and amazing read. Waiting for the author's book Jinnistan to come out.

Amazing! First of all, It's a novella so beginners can easily read it and the horror stories are absolutely great. They're short so even if you don't have time, You can read one. And the thing that i absolutely adore about this book is that it is a horror novella (like others we read) mixed with our Desi/Islamic culture which in my opinion, is really unique. The stories sent shivers down my spine. The thing that the stories change but the characters stay the same was a cherry on top for me. There some grammar mistakes here and there but they can be easily ignored. To summarize, It was worth every penny

Waste of time, the book is a selection of short stories about Abu's jinn adventures. They seem like the good translation of some jinn Urdu digest. The stories are brief, short of detail and left me guessing.

I couldn't help wondering how much of these jinn stories are still prevalent in Pakistani culture of today.

This was a project and yet it kept me up at night.
I liked the Pakistani family bonding, the short spooky stories set in the cities with two men fighting all evil. However, some stories at the end demanded more to them. All in all, 4/5. Kudos to the writer. I follow her on instagram and she's coming out with a new book by liberty books and I cannot wait!

I really liked the strange setting of pages, characters, sentences and words. It was meant to look scary, but I found it creative. I was really hyped up for this book. It was really hard to find it in Pakistan. Only Amazon was offering it. But what are friends for? So, a friend of mine gifted it. It will remain close to my heart because it was a gift but it will remain too far from my mind because it really failed to give me any kind of shivers aur traumas.

This book is about Abu (Father) and Daughter. Abu is an exorcist and the book comprises the tales of Exorcism told by Abu to his daughter. Well, I know a spiritual exorcist and I have witnessed real Exorcism acts. So, it didn't get into me at all. At some points, even I could have written better stories. I know all the perfect mirch masalas for a horror. So, yes I'm gonna try writing one someday. But this was really disappointing. My hyped was wasted. Maybe you like it, so don't just rely on my review. You'll find number of people praising this book. So, you read it yourself and then decide what to conclude about this book.

Happy Reading.

Underwhelming.
There's the potential but the short stories within the book are too short and lacking any details. It's an ok read but apart from the theme being jinns, churails and stuff, there's absolutely nothing scary about it.

Loved this book so much. Paranormal books close to our culture really don't exist much in Pakistan!

There are issues with formatting or grammar and connectivity at times. But the stories get under your skin.

We all have felt an adrenaline rush whenever the thought of reading or watching a spine chilling book crossed our mind. Those eerie and blood-curdling sensations are quite hard to decipher. Since childhood, I have been a fan & follower of ''Spooky Stories'' and ''Sinister Movies''.
.
''Abu's Jinns'' is a collection of short spooky stories revolving around the escapades of 'Adnan Sahab' an Exorcist who has dedicated his life to helping the individuals who crossed their path with the unseeing unconsciously or knowingly & are being haunted by those horrendous entities now followed by uncanny events.

I admire the way Author Ayesha Muzaffar has tried to frame each & every story but being a horror-maniac who likes to make sense of things that make an appearance his way, I would like to put in my two cents. Even though it is a horror novella that is supposed to freak its readers out; it somehow failed to frighten me. I hardly felt an inkling of an entity standing next to my bedside.
The elements which escalated my excitement include those teeny-tiny shots of ''Desi Touch'' in between different plots and stories. The bits that kept me embedded with the story were the details that all brown kids have believed in when it comes to Horror Stories. Now let's talk about one or two factors that put me off while reading this horror novella; the errors in the text, the repetitive plot, and the theme of the book drained my energy at a few places, which rarely happens when it comes to reading Ghost Stories. However, to cut a long story short, it was quite a good read to kick start the reading ritual in 2021. A few of my favorite stories from this book include:

1- Zubi
2- Untitled
3- Chanda
4- Bhera (being my best-loved)

Let me know about your favorite Horror Reads or Movies.

It is one of the best horror books I have ever read. The writing style shows the firm grip of the writer in the genre itself. Horror stories and novels are usually full of many things which maybe are illogical or maybe well far away from the reality, but she has showed us almost the reality in her stories.

Reading her book makes me believe that she definitely has any connection with a real exorcist or she herself has witnessed many real cases herself in her life.

Moreover, the way she narrates the story makes her a beautiful story teller and the use of local terms and many local references of our own language (Urdu) and Lahore makes the book more interesting for me.

She has written two more books after this one named as “Jinnistan” and “The Bhabi’s of Lahore”. I have both of them and would love reviewing those later.

Bone-chilling affect. Love the spooky vibe of the book, also it was hell creepy. Though, I did sound surreal, an exaggeration of type. But overall it was not bad book.

I did not know that the author had a book by the name of her Instagram handle! Though unedited, the book is delight for jinn lovers. Highly recommended. The stories are just magnificent.
