About the author
Amelia Faulkner
21 books294 followersAmelia Faulkner was born in Thame, Oxfordshire, and sprouted upward in short order. The ground around Thame is reasonably mucky, especially in the winter, and she can’t be blamed for wanting to get away from it.
Raised on a steady diet of Star Trek and Doctor Who, Amelia stood no chance in not becoming a grade-A geek. She has sat on the board of the British Fantasy Society, contributed fiction and fluff to various published roleplaying games, and written non-fiction for SciFiNow and SFX Magazines. For every positive there is an equal and opposite negative, and Amelia is forced to admit that she loves Wild Wild West.
In her spare time she enjoys travel, photography, walking her Corgi, and trying to convince her friends to replay the Pathfinder Adventure Card Game with all the Goblins decks.

Another great installment in the Tooth and Claw series. I always liked Han and Jay when they appeared in the other instalments and it was good to get their take on things. I like that the author combined this series with the Inheritance series but wasn’t thrilled that it was Frederick and Michael who were the ones to appear in this book. I never liked them in the other series and was a bit skeptical about them showing up here. Luckily, they were minor characters and came across a bit more likable than they did previously.
I also found myself wanting to know more about what was going on with Ellis and Randall. While I love Han and Jay, I favor Ellis and Randall more. I don’t normally like books that rehash events from previous installments, but I found myself wanting the author to write another book detailing Ellis’s and Randall’s perspective during this same timeframe.
Overall, the author has done an excellent job and I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Hopefully we’ll get another installment sooner rather than later.

New couple from the same universe, and boy, does this universe get even more complex. I've said it before, I'll say it again - good series.

One of my favourites
4.25 ⭐️
One of my favourites for this series. I really enjoyed that this one was from other characters POV
I liked being in both Jay and Han’s heads. I also enjoyed watching Jay come into his power. I look forward to seeing what else he can do
I was worried that the cross over between the characters from the inheritance series was going to be a problem as I haven’t read that series and I would feel lost, but it was fine, I could follow along.
Looking forward to more from this series

Most enjoyable.
Frederick from the other series turns up in this one.
Events in this book proceed logically from previous events in earlier books. The focus in on Jay and Hans and told from their points of view.

I like Han and Jay. I was delighted when I saw that Ms. Faulkner had finally written another book in this M/M UF/PNR series, and interested in seeing how their recently-changed lives were developed when they were given center stage. Her heroes are never the typical arrogant alpha warriors too often found in the genre. Han's power, when he discovers it, it comic-book creepy-cool. They clearly love each other very much, with laughter, passion (often combined in bawdy teasing), and emotional support. Nevertheless, I'm not sure how I feel about the ruthless decisions that get made. "I'd do ANYTHING to protect those I love" is not necessarily the best choice to make. Ellis is sufficiently not himself at the time to get a tentative pass when he suggests part of it, seemingly casually.
I'm also not sure how I feel about the new character introduced, Frederick, who is ruthless w/o even feeling any pangs about it. I realize that I don't really "get" the aromantic-relationship concept: if two people care about each other, surely showing it would not be impossible, whether or not one is w/o the desire for "romance". If not, why would anyone be willing to get involved in such a connection, with the complications it entails?
Overall, I was less satisfied with it than I'd hoped, but certainly not to the degree that I won't eagerly get the next installment when it's written and released — and though this book does have a conclusion, it's quite clear that the story is not yet over, with big changes happening.

Excellent Reading
The storyline brought back Ellis and Randall, along with new people. A baby vampire that Ellis had turned, its husband a beginning wizard who must save Ellis, a telepathic, and his mate. Excellent story of love, change, and friendships. Recommend it to everyone who loves m\ m
pairings, vampires, magic, werewolves, and mystery.

This has been an amazing series I love it! Especially with the tie into another series which I look forward to reading more of. I also look forward to reading the rest of this author’s books and hopefully seeing more of these intriguing characters.
