I'm having a really difficult time trying to find the words to write this review right now because I honestly just have no clue how I feel. I'm very conflicted between those parts that I enjoyed and the parts that I didn't enjoy as much.

To start off with the not so good, I'll just say that there were moments and longer parts of the story that had me scratching my head in confusion. Not by what was happening but more of a confusion as to why that scene or section was relevant to the story or characters. And it seemed to keep happening where there were these lulls in story and it would just be Archer and Quinn living a normal life with nothing happening to grab my attention. It made the book seem a little long for me and it dragged so much sometimes that it got boring. One of the more noticeable moments like this was the whole Dean's Wedding thing that would be brought up but then nothing would come of it. As in it didn't exactly add a drama or conflict to the story so it made me question why it was being mentioned or shown so much. And as a random side note to that, I completely hate Kara.

But, and here's the good part of this review, this couple as a whole still kept me intrigued. I really liked Quinn and Archer together and it was fun to see them more confident in their relationship than they were in the first book. I thought it was great that we got to see how they were moving forward together and it made reading this book completely worth it.

So overall I did have some issues with the pace and some side characters being brought in a little too much, but in the end I did like reading the story. The duet is one I would recommend and I can't wait to read more from this family.

What happened?

Cheat codes was good, but this felt like it was from a completely different author.
I struggled to finish it, skimming often from complete boredom. It felt a lot like an informational pamphlet on pregnancy, surgery, and traveling.
The dialogue was near robotic, the only emotion roused was hatred toward the bratty Kara. Seriously, they were entirely to kind to that witch.

Book 1, Cheat Codes, and this book were really cute! They were about the same couple: Quinn and Archer, who have known each other for 12 years. Archer is Quinn’s older brother’s BFF. They have both secretly liked each other, but never acted on it because of the older brother. They finally give into their attraction and 2 weeks later, Quinn finds out she’s pregnant.

Book 1 ended on a cliffy and this one picked up right after. Basically both books are about Quinn and Archer navigating their relationship. The books span Quinn’s whole pregnancy, which was cute. I loved the relationship between Quinn and Archer. Their banter was funny, the smexy scenes were hot and I loved how attentive Archer was with Quinn’s pregnancy. The “plot” isn’t super in depth or well developed. But it was an easy, comfort read. Like watching an episode of Gilmore Girls. Really charming and adorable!

I very rarely rate a book with one star. Usually, there is something that I value enough to give two, but this time it is THAT bad. I never skip pages while reading (it is against my principles), but for this one, I wanted to. Very badly!

It was pure torture. Nothing (and I mean totally absolutely nothing) happens through the book. Two people having sex every time they meet cannot express their thoughts in words. So they just meet, make love, and leave without talking about anything that matters or is important to them. Extra 30 pages on the first book would be enough to cover all that happens in the second.

You best believe I jumped on this as soon as it hit my kindle! I had been waiting for more Archer and Quinn for what felt like forever and now it's finally here!!

Quinn and Archer stole my heart in Cheat Codes and they kept stealing it in 'End Game'. I loved watching them working on their relationship and the curve balls life thew at them. They had a lot to work through regarding their future, with a baby on the way there is a lot to figure and work out... but they had the added stress of living in different cities and having conflicting jobs and also figuring out if they were in this relationship because they loved each other or because they were having a baby together.
Life wasn't easy for these two, they kept being thrown curve ball after curve ball and it was hard to see them struggling with what to do, and make hard decisions when it comes to the rest of their lives. Archer is faced with the hard decision to live his life long dream and lose all his baby's firsts or give up on that dream and be there for his baby and Quinn, he has a lot to figure out and it's so emotional to watch him and Quinn ponder what life will be like either way.

In the conclusion to their story you learn a lot more about Archer and his past and family situation which is pretty important in this book and in regards to his relationship with Quinn. A lot happens there and you really see how much Archer has struggled and still does with his family situation which makes it all the more delightful when it all sort of comes together in the end.

Can we all please talk about how much I love the Dawson family dynamic? Because I really do! They are such a fun, awesome family and I'm dying to get more of them and more of each and every one of Quinn's brothers. It's gonna be so much fun. Dean will probably not get his own book, only if things with Kara don't work out which after all that happened in this book wouldn't surprise me, she was a major bridezilla b*tch and I hated her attitudes towards Quinn. But Dean, well he too was a bit of a d*ck but came around... and omg poor guy. There were a couple of hilarious situations he found himself in that had me laughing out loud, but him not so much.
When it comes to the other brothers I'm dying to get my hands on their books, Owen's has me hitching for it... the promise of that story has me all guiddy. And Weston is next!! I already love the guy and his son but I have a feeling they will completely steal my heart and lock it away somewhere where I'll never be able to get it back. I can't wait!

End Game was everything I had been wanting and more. I loved that Emily really portrayed the hardships of a new and dubious relationship, the struggle of figuring out your life with a surprise pregnancy and seeing where it would all fit with all your previous life long plans, and also the hardship that is a long distance relationship. That's what made this story so amazing and beautiful, the fact that it was so REAL. There were a lot of struggles and hard decisions and all kind of things being thrown at them but they still managed to work through everything, even if not in the most 'correct' way at first and not after some inner struggle as well. But that's what made this story so brilliantly real, no one is perfect, life is not all hearts and flowers, people make mistakes left and right...it's difficult, raw and you need to find the light in the midst of all the darkness and Quinn and Archer were able to do that, together and it was amazing.

Emily managed to make me love these two even more than before and I honestly loved being here along for their journey. The ending was perfect. I had a smile on my face the whole time because it was funny and so heart warming. I'm super excited for more glimpses of these 3 in the rest of the books in the series, and of course for Weston's book. Bring it on!

What a sweet conclusion to a very sweet romance. As I’ve mentioned in the previous book also, Archer and Quinn take home the price for the sweetest couple. I love how they talk over their problems and I also love how their lives are so normal. It’s nice to see books where the MCs’ aren’t stinking rich to buy whatever they want, it was nice how they have to fret over their day to day things. Made it far more realistic. I also love how the family have their own drama. I know it sounds like I’m giving negative options but it really does give a more realistic aspect.

Knowing the other book is about Wes makes me really excited as a matter of fact. I love Jackson and I would love to see how he’ll get his own happy family.

⭐️ 5 "Worth the Sacrifices" Stars ⭐️
I was so excited to dive back into Quinn and Archer’s romance after the beautiful story that was Cheat Codes. End Game is enchanting and amusing with a touch of sexy and touching! I couldn’t be happier about the way this story turned out! My heart felt so full all read long with this exquisitely cute couple!

"For years she's been right in front of me, in sight but out of reach. It took a crazy push from the universe to finally get us together."

Quinn and Archer have so much chemistry and it’s even more apparent in this second novel with all their flirty and witty banters. I particularly enjoyed the inside jokes between them that just proved how much they’re an impeccable match despite their short dating time. The way they’re so comfortable with each other doesn’t mean everything is easy for them though! The distance and the draining hours as a resident surgeon for Archer complicate things for them. With their baby on the way, they have hard decisions to make about their future!

They need to reconsider some of their choices and dreams and decide what’s more important for them! They have to learn to communicate and express their feelings about this common future. I enjoyed that the story isn’t filled with drama. It’s really about the adversity you get to experience in a relationship and how you deal with it!

Another aspect I particularly loved about this series is that the Dawson family is tightly knit. I love Quinn’s big brothers and all the teasing and laughing between them. You clearly feel the important bond between those siblings. Every single time the family was reunited, I was so entertained!

"I never thought I'd date someone weirder than me, but I think you fit the bill."

Emily Goodwin brought together the perfect balance of everything I’m fond of in books and fashioned a truly marvellous read! She penned with End Game her best novel to date in my opinion! This novel has all the feels and there wasn’t a second of my read I didn’t enjoy! I’m a little sad Quinn and Archer’s story is over, but I’m so thrilled for next books in the series about the Dawson brothers!

End Game picks right where Cheat Codes ended. The conclusion of Quinn and Archer's story was exactly how I'd hope it would end. Filled with laugh out loud moments and packed with emotion. Archer and Quinn had to fight to make their relationship work. And everything that led to the end result was so worth it. I really hope to see more of them in the upcoming books.

Counting down the minutes for Weston's book! Gahhhhh, so excited!

DNF@ 59%...It just got too boring. I think making it into two books was not the way to go. They sleep a whole lot in this book. And just the inner dialogue of them trying to figure out what to do but then never sitting down and really talking about it together got annoying.

I was gifted an advanced copy of End Game by the author in exchange for a promotion on my Instagram; here is my review.
End Game continues the story of Quinn and Archer from Cheat Codes, if you haven’t read Cheat Codes yet check out my review of it here otherwise prepare for spoilers!
In the sequel Quinn and Archer face new challenges as a couple and as a couple who are expecting.
Both characters are insecure about their relationship; the attraction is there but do they love each other??? Are they ready to be committed to one another? Can they make the sacrifices that need to be made? Where will the baby be raised? Who will move where?
And then squeeze in family drama from a bridezilla who doesn't like being upstaged by the baby to be; as well as a brother who was once an addict and continues to abuse.
This all sounded like the recipe for a good “guilty pleasure” read, however I was disappointed.
As I read the story of Quinn and Archer I noticed that I was being told more about what was happening than I was to shown. You know that feeling once you've been absorbed into the story and your living the story with the characters? I never got that feeling. I really had to be a trooper and push through to the end of this book.
The plot itself felt repetitive as well; in that the couple continuously repeated themselves in what they said and did. Also there were a lot of cliches. The actual line “what could possibly go wrong” was written and I couldn't help but cringe. (-_-メ) ← my face as I read it*
All in all I did not like this book as it lacked substance! I believe as whole the book didn't read as well as the first because it’s main purpose is to lead to the third book of the series. The third book is said to continue the story of another character from the family. Thus because this book is meant to fill in tiny holes that’s what you read tiny holes that are stretched waaayy too far out in an attempt to make something worth reading; making End Game rate a 1 on The Princess Scale.

I hate giving disappointed reviews so I always try to start with the negatives when I write a review so that I can finish on a good note with the positives.

I found that End Game dragged a bit for me. Continuing Archer and Quinn's story as Quinn goes through her unexpected pregnancy and I must say she must have had the most unfortunate pregnancy known to man! Savage morning sickness from two weeks (I've never heard of it kicking off that early in pregnancy, 4 weeks - yes but not 2 weeks) that seemed to continue forever, extreme exhaustion, some ligament thing that I've never even heard of, Braxton Hicks contractions. All that was missing was SPD, emergency caesarean and sepsis. Having had children myself and not suffered with half of the problems Quinn had (nor has anyone I know). I found it slightly far-fetched for me. And then carpal tunnel that seemed to have no relevance whatsoever to the story other than to make Quinn seem like the most sickly person in the world.

I found there were parts of the story that weren't particularly relevant either, like Bobby. Had he been instrumental in causing some life-altering tragedy or drama I'd totally get it, but he could easily have been left out.

The story seemed to plod in large chunks, consisting of a running commentary of the number of times Archer and Quinn text when they're apart. I would have liked to see a bit more drama caused by the secretary, Rene, other than Quinn just reading her bitchy emails on the company server like a stalker. Or maybe something with the ex. It all just felt a bit anti-climatic.

Kara goes from being fairly alright in the first book to a super bitch which, again, was a bit anti-climatic when nothing came to a head or seemed to be resolved. It made no sense that she and Dean Kara seem a bit simple to be honest. In real life, had the wedding been two days after the due date, any normal pregnant woman would have bowed out of the immediate wedding party anyway without the need for the almost-drama.

Having said that, I totally understood the Dean drama and liked the resolution. As much as he was a bit over-dramatic, he was one person I could relate to and I liked the dynamic between him and Archer. In fact, I liked all of the brothers, including Owen who was made out to be a bit insensitive.

I liked Archer and I liked his relationship with Quinn. I could believe him being torn between following his dream and wanting to support Quinn and that made him seem very human to me, which I like. I hate main characters that seem too perfect or, conversely, too flawed.

My overwhelming thought is that this story could probably have been condensed into one book, without the detailing of every single one of Quinn's pregnancy gripes and mundane dialogues by text, but having said that they killed some time and had enough spicy bits to stop me getting too bored. I liked it, but sadly I didn't love it though, sorry.

I’ve been waiting for Quinn and Archer’s story to continue since Cheat Codes ended, and I immediately one-clicked End Game when it released so I could see how their story played out.

Living in two different cities, with a baby on their way, their careers both taking off, and family drama ensuing on both sides, things are not sunshine and roses for these two, but they find ways to make it work.

I will say that this story didn’t capture me as much as the first book, the connection between Quinn and Archer was still there, but at points in their story, it was a bit lack-luster and their communication skills were definitely lacking in this book which caused a lot of problems for the two of them. I wished that the two of them would have been more straight forward with one another with what they wanted and not beat around the bush so much. They definitely still belong together, and I love them together, but I just wish we would have seen them together more, and happier more, than just trying to figure out how to communicate to each other more.

If you’ve read Cheat Codes, then you definitely need to read End Game because this is a great conclusion to Quinn and Archer’s story and set’s up Wes’s story that releases this fall, which I can not wait for!

I LOVED THIS STORY!! Phew...I feel better now, I needed to get that off my chest.

We met Quinn & Archer in Cheat Codes. She’s his bestie’s baby sis that he knocks up after one hot & steamy night that’s been a long time coming. Yes, you remember ;)

So, we remember them falling for each other but having so many obstacles in their way. They had a thing (unknowingly) for each other for years! Now they’ve finally gotten their chance and they’ll stop at nothing to get their happy ever after! Even with all the family drama that’s keeps popping up. And let’s not forget about the careers they’ve both been kicking ass for!

Choices need to be made. Lots of them. Quinn is pretty settled on her path, she just needs to get her baby daddy to catch up.

I seriously enjoyed this whole cast of characters. The family dynamics are so comforting and real. I feel like these could be my people!

Loved the beginning, the middle and the end. Start to finish. 5 STARS!

Gahhhh!!!! This was the perfect ending to this couple!! But like I have no words it was so good!! Like it as left me speechless. Of course I’ve been waiting on this book ever since Cheat Codes which seemed like forever ago but really wasn’t. And even if it was it would have been worth it! This book will give you all the feels and then some. I'm not going to give much away because this is a book that you need one to read after Cheat Codes and two with fresh eyes and no spoilers. Just knowing that you will so love these books!!! I have a feeling that this series is going to be one of my all time favorites, because I’m already impatient for the next book!!! I highly highly recommend this book!!!!

Cute & Sexy Romance!!💘🔥😍
End Game (The Dawson Family Series Book 2)

This is the conclusion of Quinn & Archers Duet.
I didn't think the synopsis related to story much, it came across as though Archer may do something with great risk or maybe even potentially illegal, that is no where in this storyline at all!!!😒

I found it a sweet romance, I liked the characters & plot, what there was of it at least! I just didn't see the necessity for their romance to be over 2 books, it's just not strong enough to support it, in my opinion!!🙈😕 If I hadn't got book #1 free & had to pay for both, I'd be really cheesed off!!😡

After that cliffy from Cheat Codes this was exactly what my heart needed. Quinn and Archer may be extremely smart, but when it comes to the heart things aren't always so easy. Even through the struggle of navigating a long distance relationship with the added stress of pregnancy, these two still manage to give good nerdgasms that had me laughing through the tears.

I really loved the 1st book and was looking forward to this one so much and yet I was surprised how differently I felt. I didn't like the direction that Quinn's character went and I guess I just couldn't get past that.

NO SPOILERS!

End Game was a good finale to Quinn and Archer’s story, and I mostly enjoyed it from beginning to end. I didn’t love everything about End Game, and it wasn’t fully what I hoped it’d be. It was often slow and boring, and after a while, I honestly just wanted to finish and get it over with, which is a feeling I absolutely hate as a reader. Certain aspects and characters were frustrating and annoying, and I would’ve liked some things to have progressed differently, as well as a little something more at the end. However, for the most part, the conclusion to Quinn and Archer’s story was enjoyable, and I was fairly satisfied with the ending. Quinn and Archer’s duet (Cheat Codes and End Game) haven’t been my favorite books from Emily Goodwin so far, but I liked them, and I’m looking forward to reading Quinn’s brothers stories in the rest of the Dawson Family series.

Okay, so I did enjoy the overall story of this duet (Cheat Code and End Game), BUT it really could have been one book. The first book was great because I loved the plot and the characters! This book dragged on, and on, and on for me. I felt like it was never going to end, that Quinn and Archer were NEVER going to get their happy ending. Then there is a light at the end of the tunnel, but the book isn't done yet. I think had these two books been combined into one, I would have been much happier. Keeping in mind that this is a personal preference, I think many of you would still love this book as much as the first! Plus, the third (Side Hustle) and fourth (Cheap Trick) books in this series are stand alones! Happy series binging my friends!

I highly enjoyed End Game just as much as I did Cheat Codes. Quinn and Archer are still amazing. I love watching them try and navigate their long distance relationship and the pregnancy thrown into the mix. They just seem so perfect together. Their is something about them that you just can't help but to love. This book is filled with a lot of heart and mending fences. You still get all the Dawson clan that are so amazing. I couldn't put this one down. I'm so happy that Quinn and Archer get two books for their story. I'm looking forward to more Dawson family to come.

The conclusion to this couples story.
Just when you think everything should be smooth sailing...more issues arise that they must solve.
There are so many times that you think everything will be fine, only for something else to pop up.
But it makes it that much more intense.
That much more intriguing.
It sucks you in until you devour the whole thing.
