Griffith was a very old and powerful dragon and just the opposite of his twin James. The only thing they had in common was their looks, they were identical. James, although first born and immortal, didn’t inherit the dragon gene and had held that over Griff’s head their entire lives. Anything Griff got, James felt it should be his instead.

Griff found his mate, Lilac, by chance. She had just barely escaped James’s evil clutches, and the moment she saw Griff she was terrified that they were one and the same.

Lilac was a water faerie and daughter to the queen of faeries which made her queen of the water, but that was a secret she would have to keep to herself. That knowledge in the wrong hands could spell disaster, especially if James found out. Lilac was slow to trust, but Griff made it difficult not to love him. And when Griff suddenly disappeared, would he be able to forgive her for holding such a secret? Trust worked both ways and that was one huge secret.

Griffith and his mate don't have the usual meet-cute. In fact, it's a little terrifying for Lilac as she'd just escaped a man that looks exactly like him. Thankfully, Griff is able to prove he's not the same person, but it is his twin. Okay, still kind of scary, but that's good news.

Griff is a dragon shifter, an old and powerful one, and even though he and James are twins, James didn't get the same gifts. Considering his pure evilness, that's probably a blessing.

Lilac is not only a water faerie, but is in fact their queen as her mom is the queen of all faeries. As such, she must closely guard her secret otherwise people, such as James, could use her for their own nefarious deeds.

As Griff and Lilac begin getting to know one another, they must face not only James and stop him once and for all, but other truths are revealed that will change everything Griff thought he knew.

Can Griff keep Lilac safe? Will James finally be stopped? Is a HEA possible with the start Griff and Lilac had to their mating? Who will find love next?

One-click now and follow along as two people meet under the most unusual circumstances and find a love just as rare.

Griffith Alexander Farley, the Fourth Earl of Alexander’s Folly. The Duke of Winebarger and Baron of Windemere Castle was another member of the group of friends that had come to visit Danburn and his family for the holidays. Although each of the men was friends as a group, Griffith, aka Griff, was closer to Kip than any of them. It seemed the two men had similar family members they tended to console themselves over. Griff also had an identical twin brother, James, who was as different to him as night is to day. Where Giff was a loving compassionate man, James was pure unadulterated evil. Seems James resented many things about his family but the biggest was that even though Griff was the younger twin, he was born a dragon while James being the oldest, by mere minutes, was born an immortal human. Lilac was a water faerie who had barely escaped James before he could act on his nefarious plans after having tied her to a tree. When she and Griff meet, he immediately knows she's his mate but because he is identical to James, Lilac has no trust in him. The storyline is captivating, the villain is evil personified, and the good vs. evil plot is intense. This was another great addition I couldn't put down

Once again Ms. Barton brings us another great story . Using the good twin/bad twin theme we are introduced to James ( the bad twin) who thinks he is privileged and is out to destroy Griffith ( the good twin) for taking what he thinks should be his. When Griff finds his mate, she thinks he is James and he has his work cut out for him convincing her he is not like his brother. Lilac escaped James evil , finding her mate looks just like her kidnapper is going to be a challenge. Lilac has a secret, one she protects with her life even from her mate, however secrets have a way of being exposed and now she has to hope Griffith will forgive her. Easy to read, plenty of twists and turns, great characters and an entertaining storyline. I am enjoying getting to know Danburn's friends and finding their mates is an exciting experience. I look forward to the next adventure.

Kathi S. Barton has done it again. I love this series. Good twin verses his evil twin brother. When Griffith finds his mate she is terrified of him because she just escaped his evil identical twin brother. You will fall in love with Griffith and Lilac. Can't wait to read the next book in the series.

At the end of Dana's book we learned that Griffith had found his mate. Unfortunately, is mate was in the hands of his twin brother James who has a sadistic side when it comes to others. Now Griffith doesn't only just have his work cut out when it comes to convincing his mate that he's nothing like his brother, but he must also find way to keep his brother from hurting any more people.

Lilac is a water faerie and doesn't trust anyone. When she's told by her tormentors twin that she's his mate she's hesitant, and rightly so after suffering what she did. However, Griff doesn't just show Lilac that he's nothing like James, but that she may also have a mate she can honestly trust with the whole truth of what she is.

Absolutely loved this book. I though the series was starting to go a bit downhill after not liking Dana's book so much, but Griff and Lilac are an amazing couple and the problems they much overcome to finally be free of James is awesome!

Found!

Griffith is a twin & his twin does look like him but, they are nothing alike. Where Griffith is good his twin, James is very bad. So, in this book James of course is the bad guy.

Lilac was captured by James but, before he could hurt her more & then kill her she escaped with a little help from her fairy friends.

When Lilac 1st met Griffith she thought that he was James or once she found out was related to him would treat her like his brother did; she was in for an awakening. She knew what she was for Griffith; his mate. But, she wasn’t ready to trust him yet so she kept a very important secret from him about her.

This book was very good but in no way erotic; there was maybe 2 sex scenes & the rest of the book was about the relationship between them & Griffith’s friends with the other dragons & their mates. But, now is the time for you to decide if you agree with me.

Great Story

Griff finds his mate in Lilac, the queen of water ways and daughter of the fairy queen. She very old, very powerful, and has been broken down by the evil that she has seen.
Griff came from a living home. His selfish older twin James ended that when he killed their parents out of greed.
James is now after Lilac the women he had captured, abused and claimed as mate. James is accustomed to getting what he wants. He is not a dragon, but he is the immortal son of one, so he doesn't fall under the dragon council. His rein of terror is coming to an end.
Great story, dragged a little in places. I liked Griff and Lilac. Looking forward to Kip"s story.
