This series has such a unique premise with a bit of aliens, dystopian plot, and a kick ass powerhouse female lead who you fall in love with. The twist at the end will leave you thinking about the story long after you put it down
Vel died suits him right. Even if you hate humans you don't turn your back on every human.
I am saddened that both of Iris's grandparents died.
I loved what Jane and the cursed did in new city. That cause the tide to change.
I know they rescued a lot of people but I didn't hear them mentioned Addie.
The shocking news that Arthur delivered was unexpected I though he was going to say he and his kind were leaving.
I am on the edge of my seat to know what will happen next. What about the other Unwelcome that are changing, Miles and Arthur's sister. The plot thickens.
Oh My Alien Blue Babies & Toddlers!! I read until Zero Dawn Thirty, and after finishing Book 2... I've loaded Book 3 and love love love this series! RD is an epic writer with a serious layer in her human genome that exudes 'a.l.i.e.n.s.' My reading of her family growing, and then family growing up; RD allows established main characters to continue to evolve.
YOU HAVE TIME to read this author in this 2020 Time of Corona Virus!! Stay well!
All of RD'S BOOKS reach out and pulls one to them , immersing one in the story. One becomes part of the adventure, allowing the reader to Choose which part they Can visualize the characters and if the reader allows themselves to just for the moment step out of their world and into the story.
I couldn't put it down and read it out in just half a day (just like book 1) and am IMPATIENTLY awaiting the next book. Hurry up and finish it please R.D. Brady.
I loved the change in POVs which creates more depth in the story and characters. I felt emotionally invested in Thor's awakening and mission to save his sister and nephew. I am very anxious to get the next book
Diverting story. A bit predictable but still fun. Lots of mistakes which could have, should have, been discovered with decent editing. Reads like it was written quickly.
This is yet another great addition to Brady’s book collection. I have not been let down yet and each book has its own reflective nature to it. From series to series it has kept me engaged in reading which I haven’t been able to do in a long while.
So far a great wee story with some well written characters. R.D. Brady never ceases to amaze me with the fantastic stories and characters she is able to create from book, to book, to book.
Another great action read! Likeable characters, a believable plot (well, you can suspend disbelief for a great story!) And page turning suspense. What more could a reader want?
Arak is Earth?! Wow. This is crazy, but so believable to me! I will probably get a lot of religious blow back with this comment but I truly believe we are here due to aliens.
Wonder if Lyla and Arthur will hook up in book three, like I see the signs..lol. And if the cursed aren't human, what the heck are they? Human with a little Naku in them? Hmmm.
Like Protect, I couldn't put down Seek. Another one of those books you stay up way too late reading, which leaves you breathless in the end. There are some twists in this book, twists you probably won't see coming and a few that you might. Those few will most likely keep you company as it ends with a cliff hanger, and you'll be dying to get the next book in the series. I will be recommending this trilogy to all my friends and family.
I felt like Seek dragged a bit more than Protect (certainly took me longer to read because I wasn't craving it as much). That said, it was an enjoyable thread to follow.
I give R.D. Brady high marks for holding enough back so that there are questions that are asked in the first book that still haven't been answered. She gives us just enough to keep it interesting. I like that the plot should all wrap up in the final book.
In all, this is a compelling and fun read. I'm invested enough to finish the series.
