Saving Penny was a fast paced paranormal romance that overall I ended up enjoying. This is a novella so it isn’t super long but don’t let that fool you, it is not lacking at all. I liked the setup of how Drake and Penny’s story although I wish we would have gotten a little more information on the cards given out and who determined who received one but that may come out in future stories. Saving Penny had a good balance of drama, sexiness and chemistry between Drake and Penny. If you are a paranormal romance fan and are looking for a quick read then this is one I would recommend.

4.5 stars, rounded to 5 because it kept me entertained and I liked all the characters.
I normally avoid billionaire books like the plague. I took a chance on this one because I needed something happy and sweet after reading two horror books back to back this week. It turned out to be a cute story.
Penny has just won the biggest lotto payout in history. Nobody knows except her best friend. A popular sales rep, she turns in her two week notice at her job simply saying that a better opportunity has come up. She doesn’t even tell her loyal assistant who she considers a friend.
Penny starts getting things sent to her – photos, love notes, and even an anal plug – by a stalker who seems to be watching her every move. Whoever it is knows her schedule, where she lives, and even where she has her coffee several times a week. When the police do nothing, her best friend gives her a business card from her brother for Imperial Knights Security. There’s no info on the card except an address. Desperate, she goes there in hopes of finally getting some peace.

For thirty years Drake has been having weird dreams that wake him up in a cold sweat. For years the dream was about a coin, a penny. He didn't understand why but they became more and more frequent. Recently that coin has turned into a female. He can see her, but she stays just out of reach.
When he gets a call about a woman downstairs with one of his business cards, Drake decides to check her out personally, something he almost never does. The cards are only given to certain people so he needs to find out how this woman got one. Then he sees her. Not only is the woman the one he’s been dreaming about, but she’s also his mate. He obviously takes her on as a client – to protect her - knowing that no way in hell will he allow a stalker or anybody else get near her.
It also helps when he suggests being her fake boyfriend until the stalker is caught. The 'fake boyfriend' is another thing I tend to shy away from in books. It worked here because Drake was hired to protect her.
I adored Drake right off. Hot, sexy alpha. What’s not to love? I also loved Penny. She wanted Drake and wasn’t shy about letting him know it. The main reason I don’t read a whole lot of M/F romance these days is because of wishy washy females. Penny wasn’t like that at all. I even liked her best friend.
The sex scenes are really good. There’s one outside in the woods that’s super hot.
There’s major insta-love but I’m okay with it because of the shifter/mate thing. And it seemed to work here.
I figured out who the stalker was almost immediately, but it didn’t take away from the story.
I really enjoyed this. I hope to read the others in the series when they’re released.

The same dream has disrupted Drake's nights for years and he's helpless to figure out its meaning. It isn't until the penny he dreams of changes into a woman, the same woman who comes to him for help, that he realizes why he's been having the same dream night after night: this woman is his mate. But Penny isn't a wilting flower. She isn't a submissive woman. She is incredibly strong when it counts, when it matters, the perfect compliment for a man like Drake who exerts absolute control in his life.
Penny has all the elements one might come to expect in a paranormal romance--mate, possessiveness, protectiveness, eternal love--but this one intrigued and engaged me like I haven't been in a while. The use of dreams is not a tool I come across often in this genre, at least not in the stories I've read. It's an interesting approach to connecting one mate to the other, of joining lives and forces, of building a love that is tighter and stronger than either person has known before.
This was a surprising read for me. It wasn't just the dream element; it was using something so "normal" in the human world as a catalyst for Drake and Penny to be brought together. I can imagine that winning such a huge sum of money brings out the worst in people, just like it brings friends and relatives you haven't seen in forever out of the wood works. Winning the lottery and the trouble that came with it grounded this story, keeping it relevant while maintaining the fantastical.
Ms. Marie has presented what appears to be a run-of-the-mill paranormal romance but don't let the simplicity of the synopsis fool you. This is an excellent start to this series, and a hands down recommendation for lovers of this genre. It will be equally intriguing to see how the rest of this series follows. If this first book is anything to go by, the rest will gain high marks as well.

It is short, so I was able to read it in a single sitting, even though I had to elbow my hubby out of my way several times before I was able to get to the end! Ariel Marie, you’ve made a new fan and I’m excited to read the next installment in the series!
I highly recommend Saving Penny by Ariel Marie and give it five steaming hot cups of coffee!

Drake has been having the same dream for years and he always wakes up from it tired and asking questions is it penny as in cents he should save or a person named Penny. Penny is in a rut and one night she decides to buy a lottery ticket but she comes home and just goes to bed to be woken up the next .morning by her best friend saying someone is a billionaire so she goes to get her ticket and her friend reads the numbers to her to find out that she has won 9 million dollar's and three months later she is being stalked by someone and the police won't do anything so her best friend's brother gives her a card of one of his military buddies who has opened a security company and so she takes a chance and meets with Drake. Drake meets Penny and instanly knows she is His mate and so he tells his team that he will guard her and they end up falling in love and she is then kidnapped by her stalker who turns out to be her secretary and Drake saved her and they get married.

Such a great start to a new Series! The Imperial Knights Series looks like a great new series to dive into. Ariel Marie did a good job at creating the world around Drake Ransley and Penny Berkley. I would love to get more details on The Ransley past in the future books of brothers.
There are a few times I felt we were pushed along in the story and I wanted more meat and potatoes of what was going on around Penny and Drake throughout the story. The story is well written and held my attention from start to finish. I completely devoured this book in one sitting.
Drake Ransley has been looking for his Penny for over 30 years but only recently realized that she was a human. So, when the gorgeous woman waltzes into his office needing assistance he jumps at the opportunity to meet her and wants to destroy and threat around her.
The chemistry between Drake and Penny was great. There was that push and pull at the beginning, but it quickly turned into them being a couple. Penny was not scared of her big bad wolf.

A shortly afterwards letters start arriving but when a package with a butt plug and a threat arrives on her front step she knows she needs help. Great book to read, i read this is one siting, it really is worth while buying. And its even got a really good little twist in it as well.
Drake is the head of Imperial Knights, a security company. He has been having recuing deams for the past 30 odd years about a penny and money, all these dreams not really maiking sence till one night when the dream revels that Penny is a women.
Penny works as a Sales Representative for MedWell Corporation, and has just got the sales person of the month again for the 3rd time running. On going home she decided to buy a lotto ticket from the garage.. She won....but someones not happy with her leaving, she is getting stalked, so her best friend has given her a card to go and see Drake at the Imperial Knights .
On seeing Penny Drake knows she is his and will do anything to protect her. Can he find her stalker in time?

Saving Penny is full of intrigue, mystery, hot sex, and love! I adored Drake and Penny. Penny is a strong woman who has a stalker. It's serious enough that her best friends brother sends her to Imperial Knights with a business card. Drake is part owner of the super successful security business, Imperial Knights. He's also a wolf shifter. He's so sweet yet a possessive alpha at the same time. He will do anything for his Penny. Penny surprises you. She's not whiney nor scared when his true nature is revealed. Most human females are sent running and screaming. It's a nice change to see Penny take it so well.
You will get quickly swept away in this story, all while trying to figure out who the bad guy is. The romance is sweet, the sex is hot, the mystery keeps you guessing, and the writing style keeps you engaged!

First book at what looks to be an adventurous and hot shifter series. The story follows one human female and even though luck and hard work have paid off something unexpected will happen and her life is no longer safe. That’s where The Imperial Knights come in. Paranormals aren’t known by humans but have existed with us since the beginning. Drake with his two brothers have built their company to protect others. And now he must protect and save Penny. Lots of adventure and a very interesting twist. Definitely gets hot in the bedroom. Can’t wait to see if maybe one of the other brothers will star in the next book.

Saving Penny was a great Paranormal Romance Read! It was quick and easy with lots of heat and suspense. If you like wolf shifters and insta-lust/love you’ll enjoy this novel. Drake and Penny had lots of chemistry, and the story had a good balance between their relationship and the stalker mystery. The only thing I wanted more of was world building. I wanted to know if Penny would be as long-lived as Drake and how? Could she turn into a wolf or did you exclusively have to be born one? Do all shifters have mate dreams? There were just lots of questions I wanted answered, but overall, it was a good read! I really enjoyed the story and hope to read the next in the series.

Wow! I really was excited to get my hands on this story. I loved the blurb, and I'm a huge fan of PNR. This story was really good. I loved the characters and the storyline. I just wish it went into more detail (needs more backstory into the characters and the PN world) plus there were two huge gaps in the storyline that were distracting to me as a reader. I should have given this a 3 star but the writing is good, and I did enjoy the story and would like to know what happens next to the characters.

An amazing start for the ‘Imperial Knights’ series; I was captivated from page one! This is a compelling interesting read, well written with a well-developed consistent plot. It is a fast pace page-turner, suspenseful action-packed, and full of excitement. The characters are strong and deep, the chemistry between them is hot, steamy, potent, and intense. For years Drake as dreamed the same dream over and over continually dreaming of a penny it doesn't make any sense until he realizes that the penny is in fact a woman and she is his mate. Penny came to his security company needing help after winning the lottery she has gained a stalker and the police can't do anything. Now it is up to Drake to save the woman meant for him but will he be able to do it when the danger is much closer than they realise.

If this is how this series is going to start then I am seriously very excited to read the next book and this one was a very good read. Drake has been having dreams for years and they disturbed his sleep but he is trying to figure them out to no avail. When a women comes asking for his help the penny drops and she is is mate. She is going to give home a run for his money as she is no wall flower and this for a man who likes control in all aspects of his life. Can’t wait for more.

This is a new author to me and I absolutely love her! I already want more of this series. I really enjoyed Penny and Drake’s story. Drake is a wolf shifter and has been dreaming about a penny for last 30 years. Then one day his dream morphed into an actual woman and he knew fate was trying to tell him something. When Penny showed up at his office complaining about a stalker he knew he had to protect her. I love the paranormal aspect of this book along with the suspense. I can’t wait for the next installment of this series!

I don't usually leave reviews, but I had to leave one for this book. I have read many paranormal books by many different authors and this is one of the best I have ever read. It is well written. It had me hooked from the first page. I love the combination of suspense, love, mates, and steamy sex. I look forward to a continuation. I love Ariel a fitting style. I will definitely be reading more books by Ariel Marie.

Based on dreams and steam and a wicked twist, this fun story kept me glued to my reader.
I really enjoyed Saving Penny! The idea of a guy dreaming about pennies for decades is an intense and yet sweet concept! When Drake actually meets Penny, well, all bets are off and he has his sights totally set on keeping Penny safe while making her his mate. They have fab chemistry and as the story unfolds, the twist Ms. Marie put in here blew me away! Well done!

I like how the story flowed. The steam and romance between the H and h is developed well also - steady pacing at that. The twist of the story surprised me.
The blurb is enough to get the readers interested - I did, so I won't divulge anymore details so as to spoil the whole story.

This is a well written paranormal romance between Drake and Penny. The author brings strong characters and weaves a story filled with mystery,drama and suspense as well as an exciting and steamy romance. There's plenty of action in this intriguing story with the author moving it quickly and smoothly. I enjoyed reading their story.

I really enjoyed this steamy and sweet PNR that offers a engaging and suspenseful storyline. I loved how Drake had spent years dreaming of a brown coin, that eventually is revealed to be Penny, and she is his mate. Drake was so amazing! The perfect combo of sweetness and protective alpha. Penny, to was a terrific character. Strong, sassy and so likable. Add in some drama and mystery and you have a extremely pleasurable read. This is my totally honest, voluntary review.

This is a great fast-paced read that has great characters.
This book kept me guessing on who the stalker could be!
The epilogue made me excited to read Doru's story as well as close this story out by answering almost all questions as to what happens next.

Drake has been dreaming about pennies for decades, he just didn't realize he was dreaming about a woman named Penny until she came to him for help. She's being stalked and Drake's security company is where she turns for help. The chemistry between these two is instant and their connection explosive. This is the first in a new series and I am looking forward to reading them all. This story was engaging, exciting and endearing. I happily recommend it.

Great story line and characters, Awesome !! Loved this book. The storyline was so interesting that it had me turning pages in anticipation of where it would lead . I was very intrigued with the characters in the story. Simply awesome . Definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a great read. I would recommend to others. Worth the read and the money!

If you are looking for a steamy paranormal romance with a hot mystery, then this is the book for you! From the way they meet to the way they mate it’s obvious these two belong together. It’s only fitting that Drake and his brothers work together so Penny and Drake reach their HEA. I can’t wait to see which of the brothers fall next at Imperial Knights security.
