I honestly don't get all of the 5-star reviews for this book. #Blessed By Malakai was horrible. The story line was boring and ridiculous. The whole I need an image consultant because, my ex posted d*ck pics of me on Twitter just didn't resonate with me. The chemistry between Avery and Malakai seemed force. It just didn't feel authentic to me at all. But, what really turned me off and made me want to throw my iPad across the room was when Avery forgave her sister. It really pisses me off when female authors (especially black female authors) write these story lines where the heroin automatically forgives the mama, sister, or best friend who betrayed her in some horrific way. I get that books are suppose to be entertaining but, I still like a healthy dose of realism in the story lines. I don't know about y'all but, I'm NOT forgiving my sister if she continually lied to me and slept with my fiancee two weeks before my wedding. There's absolutely nothing wrong with NOT forgiving someone who betrayed you! Can I get that story line?!!! Once again, we have another audiobook ruined by Mari. I just don't get why any author lets this woman narrate their books. She is a horrible narrator! I gave the performance 2-stars only because of Jakobi Diem and even he couldn't save this book. Sorry to say it (not really) but, the Madden brothers don't have ish on the Valentine and Rose brothers. This was my first book by Sherrelle Green and, once I finish this series, they will be my last books by her.

Blessed by Real Love

My love for the Madden Brothers started off with a bang!! Malakai was an artist, a sweet creative and seemed to be a work of art himself. He was blessed to understand how to pleasure women, but was at the stage in his life where finding his one was priority. Avery was an image consultant that had struck out on her own and was doing her best to make a name for herself. She was kind hearted and optimistic, with a beautiful spirit. Avery had followed Malakai's career as he grew as an artist and definitely had a crush on him. Upon meeting, the pull they had to each other was undeniable. This was a great read and I love how everything came together. I will be reading the rest of the books in this series.

So here's the thing how Malakai was described in the book is way different than the cover model. Very confusing

Also framing essentially every woman to be crazy stalkerish well that was a choice 😬

Other point they moved from strangers, to heavy attraction, to sex, to of course love...very expedited but still felt rushed. Um so the previous relationships both tragic but also felt almost as an opportunity to create layers possibly tension but I'm not sure it was executed well.

Multiple orgasms after never experiencing one 🤐

So in short, this book was 🤷🏾‍♀️

CN: cheating, revenge porn, domestic violence (ended with death), stealing art

A canvas of love

What can I say? This book was great. It starts off with a bang. Malakai madden is being chased through the streets if Chicago by a herd of women. And from there the story takes off. After this incident malakai decides he wants to find love. He hires Avery to be an image consultant and from there sparks fly. I loved the relationship abd can't wait to read more of this series.

Black love at its best!!!

I enjoyed this one immensely!!!! And I will continue to sing its praises. I loved every single character in this one - the main characters and all the supporters. I cannot wait to see what the other brothers get into. I was super pleased that this brother was not the first to get married so they were able to pave the way. Definitely looking for more from this author. She is super wonderful with her pen 👍😊

I loved Malakai and Avery and how the story started off with him running away from a herd of women! Cracked me TF up! I think Sherelle Green did a great job with their character development and I really wanted them to be together. I think Jakobi and Mari did a great job with narration. Are the 2 older brothers' stories in audio? I want to listen to their stories too! Now I'm onto Crayson's story!

good read

Now the way this story started with Malakai trending on twitter definitely had me hooked for the rest of the story. Then to have Avery his new image consultant bring in a reality tv aspect of him finding love a classic 🥰.

Fleeting Moments

The start of the Madden brother series was a toe curling read. Artist Malakai Madden is a man women of every shape, size, and ethnicity wanted, this is a source of havoc in his life. Can his life be changed? Image Consultant Avery Nightingale says she can. This story is well written, though provoking and touching. It shows we have Angeles watching over us when we least expect it.

I believe this is my first book by this author and I really enjoyed it. Malachi through an ex-girlfriend has all of his business ( sexual prowess) blasted on social media. Most guys would be okay with that except Malachi. He's at the stand in his life where he wants to settle down, but he can't because all the women he meets want to sleep with him.
Avery moves to the city to get over a nasty break up. She overhears Malachi is hiring for a public relations person and she decides to go for it. The problem is... well you'll have to read the book to find out. Great read. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Malakai loves sex with women, a lot. So he’s spent a fair amount of time perfecting his technique and he’s really good at it. Since it’s surprisingly not common to go the extra mile in this area he stands out. When an ex finds out, from his own mouth, he’s ready to settle down she posts a dick pic she’s taken without his permission to Twitter and shit blows up.
I couldn’t help but feel bad for what happened to him but because of a time skip you didn’t really deal with much of his emotions on the violation. The woman who did it ended up having a restraining order brought against her, but Malakai had to deal with women going crazy and his world being turned upside down.
Enter Avery a Tennessee woman recently moved to NYC to start up her PR company. She has followed Malakai’s art career since they were both teenagers, though, not in a creepy way. Honestly, it just skirted the line there for me, but only because of all that he’d already had to deal with.
The attraction is instant, they try and keep things professional, mostly succeed, until he gives her, her first sex stimulated orgasm. That revelation actually surprised me, especially when it’s later revealed that Avery’s ex-fiancé cheated on her with her sister. She’s moved past it and is happy her sister has found love, but how could you say that knowing that your sister is probably not having orgasms? It was just kind of weird and that side of things never addressed or commented on.
They’re both amazing well-adjusted people for having gone through some fairly unique experiences, definitely way more forgiving than I could have been. Malakai and Avery were much more serious than the characters in Single AF, and I kind of missed the crazy lol. I’m curious to see what Green has in store for the other brothers though.

Kudos to Author Sherelle Green for giving us another amazing Madden Brothers story to love.

Ladies’ man Malakai is ready to settle down after his Twitter feed starts blowing up with unsavory pictures. In an effort to clean up his image, he hires an image consultant to help him reach his goal.

Avery moves to New York after trouble in a previous relationship. As luck would have it, the artist that she admires is looking for someone to help him clean up his image.

Malakai and Avery’s interaction throughout the book was infectious. I loved every scene they shared together. The most defining moment of the story was how they met when they were younger and the encouragement Avery gave Malakai.

As always it’s nice revisiting with the Maddens and the residents of Cranberry Heights. You will want to read this book and #beblessedbymalakai&avery. Can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

This is a 2.5 to 3 for me. And that’s because this story is not fleshed out. Romance novels show the process, the actions, thoughts, feelings, etc of falling in love. Avery and Malakai’s story is one of attraction, curiosity and lust. I did not experience them falling in love. If anything, I see them having a deep admiration for one another and dating for a couple of years but it went some steamy to boom WE LOVE EACH OTHER AND WE DOWN FOR LIFE!!!!! Like you don’t even know her middle name.

Another plot point that was not done well was Avery’s back story with her sister. It was clumsily thrown in there and clumsily resolved. Same with Malakai and the story of his ex. Just threw it in there.

I’m going to continue this series hoping the stories will become more fleshed out since there is so much potential here.

4.5 ⭐️

i was looking for a cute, fun romance book to listen to & coming across this, i honestly didn't expect to love it this much! this book definitely caught me off guard, and i loved every single second of it. Malakai was messy (like the book started right in the middle of his messiness), and as unconventional as it was (for me, at least lol), it was so good! Avery & his relationship is my newest obsession, i love them so much <333

I also love the relationship between all of the brothers. Getting introduced to them in this book, I am super excited to read all of their stories <3 Can't wait to get into Crayson's story next!!

I stumbled across #BlessedByMalakai looking for more Jakobi Diem! That man’s voice can bring any character alive!

I enjoyed Malakai’s journey to find someone to spend his life with. Avery was just as sweet as she wanted to be, not ever having an orgasm from a man! These two were cute and this wrapped up as expected. Definitely worth the read!

Every man has his weakness. For prominent (painter and sculptor) Malakai Madden, that weakness has always been women. Now, he’s finally ready to settle down and shower one woman with his love. There’s just one major problem. Overnight, he’s gained thousands of Twitter followers after his obsessive ex decides to leak some private information and private parts. To make matters worse, a well-known media source retweets them! Suddenly, every woman wants a piece of Malakai. And when the #BlessedByMalakai hashtag starts trending, he’s dodging women left and right, and blocking his crotch like he’s secret service securing the president. If he’s ever going to get his life back and find his future wife, he needs to solve this problem and he needs to solve it fast! (Image consultant) #7 Avery Nightingale can’t believe she’s landed a meeting with a huge potential client. She knows all about the #BlessedByMalakai hashtag and she’s ready to pitch her ideas. However, when she meets the man behind the Twitter legend, she’s rendered speechless and Mr. Make You Moan is not impressed. He agrees to hire her on one condition. Avery must promise not to feed into the craze as others have failed to accomplish before her. She agrees. After all, it’s just one rule, right no fraternization? They discover they meant more to each other than each thought, she followed him since he was 16 and her words at a competition inspired him to continue his career.

Loved This Couple!!!

I just loved this couple together!!! Malakai was trying to get over going viral on Twitter about something extremely personal. Avery was hired as his image consultant after his many failed attempts at hiring the right image consultant. He wants to keep their relationship on a business level, even though he's immediately attracted to her and she agrees, even though she's already been fantasizing about him. Avery comes up with a drastic plan of action to redeem his image and he agrees to do it. It doesn't go according to how either of them plans. Heated glances and strong desires lead to a passionate relationship. All I can say is, fire, fire, fire. Ms. Green wrote Malakai and Avery in such a way that you fell in love with them as a couple. I also enjoyed the secondary characters in the book, Crayson, Tyler, Serenity and Jordyn, who all added to story being told. You can't help but wonder who's going to end up with the remaining Madden brothers. Catching up with the other Madden brothers and their wives was also a special treat. Reading this book made me anxious to read the rest of the series. Well done Ms. Green!!! Avery was definitely #BlessedByMalakai.

This was my first by this author and it held my interest. There were some really good parts. I think that the concept was odd though.. I mean Malachi was a successful artist who needed for his image to be restructured publicly however his success and stature in society didn't really come through on the level it should've which sort of left me feeling like it was much to do about nothing... It wasn't like he was someone that had affected his community in such a way that he needed an image consultant --- at least that's not how it came over. If anything his business should've boomed afterwards. I guess the premise just didn't make a lot of sense to me.
I liked both the characters and even the supporting cast but the chemistry would get justttttt this close ***pinches thumb and pointer*** and then fall away... I kept waiting for that moment when it would just really go down for me and I don't think I ever got that. Intimacy is difficult to capture on paper and I'm very particular about it so I think that others may really feel this one, but I needed a bit more.
One thing about a good story is the antagonistic part. There was not really that here... There wasn't any true obstacle.
It is a fun read though.. I would read her again.

If you are looking for a cute, quick novella that will have your side splitting with laughter consider picking up #Blessed by Malakai. Sherelle Green created a storyline centered around a hashtag that I'm sure someone has actually searched twitter for. #Blessed by Malakai is a wild concept that actually seems pretty realistic for today's invasive social media culture. Obsessed woman starts a media frenzy over a "celebrity" and releases his nudes... Sounds very familiar to me. Then you add in the reality tv finding love aspect to revive image...yep, not too far fetched if you ask me.

There was quite a lot to work with in this story and I wished it was a full length novel. We could have become more familiar with the brothers and we could revisit the storyline with her sister a little more, anything honestly. I would like to point out some of the unknown history between the two characters felt a little TOO convenient but since this is microwave storytelling, I'll allow it! (shrug)

However since I got a good glimpse at Crayson and Jordyn's personalities, I'll consider giving the second a read when I need a palate cleanser. They read like they will have explosive chemistry!
