I read this whilst part way through potty training my daughter and it has given me an answer to some problems we had come across which I am confident will be successful. It is definitely a book I would recommend as it breaks down potty training and a lot of other issues clearly. The only drawback is that some of the advice is contradictory to other parenting books I have read and could be seen as a little manipulative (I.e. Use the potty because it will make me happy) however I am just choosing to overlook these particular parts and it doesn't affect the good advice given.

First, I want to make clear that I don't know if this method works. My baby is too young for this. Although it starts saying that we delay too much potty training and it used to be done by 18 months, this method is for kids about 3.

The low rating is because I hate her way of talking to the kids, with childish vocabulary and all "this makes mom happy/sad". I try to teach my baby not hurt feelings, but I'd hate if she felt that my happiness is her responsibility. It's just not my way of parenting

Some useful info, but as a methodology felt very reliant on rewards without explaining how to complete this stage / wean them off a rewards based system. Also not a fan of the use of manipulative language.

I have not given this book a rating yet as my toddler is not ready for potty training just yet. Once we try to follow this book with him I will :)
