Wow, that was incredibly intense! It might have been my least favorite in the series just because of some topics Kendig tackles, as well as the romance, but overall it was a very gripping and intense read! Make sure you block off enough time to finish this before you start!

FALCON could very well be a story ripped from today’s headlines. Set in modern day Afghanistan the story details one elite military units fight to maintain cyber security as well as the safety and anonymity of valuable military assets. The identity of the person or group perpetrating the attacks is unknown, but the team in honing in on them. As they do the threat increases, the plot thickens, and lives hang in the balance. Ronie Kendig’s explosive ending to The Quiet Professionals Series will keep you reading with rapt attention!

Over the course of the series Kendig has singled out individual team members and focused on how their unique personal struggles have impacted the overall mission. Her characters break the mold of popular Christian fiction because they are always a little edgy. In this book, Salvatore “Falcon” Russo is loyal to his brothers in arms, dedicated to the mission, protective, and occasionally hot-tempered. Falcon’s personal struggles with the guilt over his past choices carries a universal message to all Christians — see 2 Corinthians 7:10. The history he shares with Lt. Walker is complicated, which makes for an interesting romantic tension between the two.

There is no room for weak leading ladies in Rapid-Fire Fiction. We saw it with Zahrah Zarrick in RAPTOR 6, as well as Fekiria from HAWK (both ladies make cameo appearances in FALCON). Now we see that the same is true of Lt. Cassandra Walker. While each woman possesses a physical beauty that makes them attractive to the men of Raptor, their bravery, intelligence, and fortitude place them in a class of their own. The women of Raptor are inspiring!

If you have a passion for suspense fiction, FALCON is a must read! Get your copy when the book releases from Shiloh Run Press on May 4th.

I didn’t read this book in the way I typically would. I wanted it to last so I languished over the story for two weeks. I knew it was the end, and who knows how long I will have to wait before the next Kendig series comes out.

Trust me, it was really hard not to push everything aside and finish it in two days because Falcon is full of twists and turns and shocking discoveries –jaw dropping ones.

The last of The Quiet Professionals, Falcon (Russo) is part of an elite brotherhood of soldiers who risk their lives in some of the most extreme conditions imaginable and come through them wounded, scarred, stronger. But some don’t survive and that’s what ultimately makes this an outstanding and realistic book series. In real life, soldiers die. In real life, traitors are within. In real life, the cover models are soldiers.

Falcon is an emotionally captivating story with diverse personalities that work together for a common goal. Tensions are high, not only because of the military situations but because of personal conflicts that drive the story forward. Man, are there conflicts!

Crafted with an expert pen, Kendig once again creates people and places that come alive on the page. By the time you get finished with this book, you’ll feel the betrayal deep in your bones. But you’ll also feel the faith that runs through the souls of these heroes. You’ll come to know the One who gives them hope and a future.

I was given a complimentary copy of this book from the author and publisher. This is my honest opinion, no strings attached.

This military series set in Afghanistan just keeps getting better. Salvatore "Falcon" Russo is an intense moody team member of Raptor Special Forces team of the Army Green Berets. He is an expert in ops and intel and is the team "daddy." Something is bothering Falcon and it seems to have begun when Lt. Cassandra Walker is assigned to the base. She works for the Defense Intelligence Agency's National Military Joint Intelligence Center and does undercover work. The two have a past history that didn't end well. Falcon blames her for the death of his girlfriend. Relational friction is especially bad in a dangerous situation like war where minds need to be clear. The Raptor team and SEAL team continue to work together as the danger ramps up to get to the Raptor team and those in command by terrorists. There were two tragedies that I just about could not take in this story. Oh my! That is all I will say about that.
Falcon is another intense, emotional and danger filled addition to the series. The events in this book just get more nail biting and stressful as it becomes apparent that someone very close to the team in causing the problems. We do get answers in this book but you HAVE to read this series in order. I know that I will have withdrawal when it ends. Ronie Kendig writes a story with some realistic characters that you grow to love or hate, depending on whether they are the good or bad guys, and a storyline that stays with you long after you finish the book.

Falcon is the third book in the Quiet Professionals series and definitely my favorite. It was action-packed and really emotional at times.

I did not know what was going to happen one chapter to the next and I was just hoping everything would work out alright.

All in all, a fantastic read! Highly recommend it and I am eager to read the novella for this series, which is about Titanis.

Once again, Ronie Kendig delivers an action-packed, edge-of-your-seat ride in the final installment of her Quiet Professionals series. Book three, Falcon, includes the Raptor team members from the previous books, as well as Timbrel and Candyman from the earlier story, Beowulf: Explosives Detection Dog. But, the bulk of the story is focused on finding the mole who has been sabotaging the team. We also get the chance to discover why Warrant Officer Salvatore “Falcon” Russo harbors so much animosity toward Cassandra Walker.

One of the things I really enjoyed about this book was the complexity of the relationship between Sal and Cassie. There is a lot to learn about their past and it is not pretty! The author adeptly delves into the gritty realities of life and does not sugar-coat the fact that our actions have consequences. She tackles topics like guilt and PTSD in a straightforward manner, recognizing that the atrocities faced by these warriors are real.

I really loved this story and loved the twists, turns, and shockers that completely surprised me! I also wish that there were more books coming in the future that would follow some of the other team members.

My thanks to the author for the complimentary copy of Falcon that I received in exchange for my honest review.

Falcon is the third book in the Quiet Professional series. In Falcon we get to know Salvatore ‘Falcon’ Russo better. We met Cassie in Hawk and we knew there was something explosive between Sal and Cassie. Falcon is a member of Raptor team. Cassie has been assigned to help them and he is none too happy about it.

Kendig hold no punches in this book. You don't know who's going to live or who’s going to be the mole. My stomach is in knots when reading a Kendig book because you never know what she's going to do. I was tempted to email Kendig more than once throughout the book. There are plenty of twists and turns and I think you'll be shocked more than once.

She also makes her characters human as they deal with emotional issues and baggage from past decisions.
Kendig does an excellent job honoring military men and women. I love the story about the sheepdogs. I have heard this more than once and it's a good analogy of the soldiers.
I was absolutely thrilled to see Tony, Candyman, from Beowulf play a part in this book. He is still in my top 5 book boyfriends. I'm still ready for him and Timbrel to get a series of their own. Hee hee. I am sad that the series is over. There are still a couple members of the team I would like to see get their own story.

I highly recommend Falcon if you like edge of your seat military suspense.

Just go ahead and add Ronie Kenndig to your list of must-read authors. You can certainly read "Falcon" without having read all of her other titles, but you're going to want to read everything she''s written. "Falcon" has several of my favorite elements-suspense, romance, characters that feell like friends, a page turning (and clean) plot. But what Mrs. Kendig really excels as is her portrayal of the military heroes who are skilled, honorable and compassionate. Her titles are always realistic and leave you wanting more.

Another riveting and captivating read from Kendig! As always I enjoy her tactical approach to books and the edgy, military style. Great characters, high energy action, excellent plot twists and a great theme of brotherhood and patriotism. My only wish for this book was that Sal had overcome his cutting with faith. As a Christian, I know that God offers the relief and peace our souls need when we struggle internally and I would have loved to have seen Sal find that so readers who also struggle might be led towards Christ too. All in all though, still a great book by one of my favorite authors!

Ronie Kendig again delivered an action packed military thriller, where you are afraid she will kill a favourite character and keeps you on edge on who will survive attacks and who the actual mole is.

I did not see a few things coming, and at one point I was thinking who else can get hurt or die.

Cassie and Sal’s past wasn’t pretty and I could understand the deep emotions due to the ugly baggage. There was a sweet consequence there which I loved discovering.

Ronie Kendig also dealt with a sensitive topic which you would not expect a man, and especially a military hero will deal with.

I also loved the cameo by Toni, Timbrel and Beowulf.

A thrilling suspense fans of Ronie Kendig will love and recommended to readers of military thrillers.

Hours after I finished what is, the final novel in author Ronie Kendig’s Quiet Professional series, I’m sitting here, trying to process everything. Something like “wow” has been my reaction since about 30-some pages in, and that reaction stayed the course throughout the 300 pages that followed.

Falcon is the story of Raptor 6 team member, Warrant Officer Sal Russo (call sign Falcon). Chasing a traitor among their ranks, Raptor 6 has suffered one too many betrayals in recent months, but the greatest of which is yet to come when they lose someone. All of this collides with Sal’s personal past when, for the greater good of the mission, he learns Raptor has to work with Cassandra Walker, the woman he once loved… and the person who he blames for the death of his fiancé.

There’s always a sense of bittersweet feelings that accompany the end of a series that a reader has found – in some varying form, epic. This is certainly true of Falcon. Though many things only add to the heroics of this novel, the hero is certainly the primary hero of the story. Ronie’s leading men are a force to be reckoned with. Not only are they wonderfully (read: they’re HUMAN!) flawed, they never back down from a fight or shirk their moral responsibilities. But above all, they put their lives at risk every single time without question. Unequivocally, that trait never falters. Because of this, the whole fictional thing doesn’t hold up; these men are real heroes.

What I loved so much about this novel (aside from Falcon, of course) is the conflict. This is one of the most emotionally interesting books I’ve read in a long time. The connection Falcon has with Cassie is tenuous at best, and their past is riddled with mistakes. Their scenes together are tension fueled though not without poignant moments as they respectively remember things left unsaid. The way Cassie loves Falcon is also lovely and the “twist” of the story took me by surprise.

Fans of Kendig’s earlier books will be missing out if they skip over Falcon. A 2016 INSPYs shortlist novel, this one is not to be missed. It’s a cutting-edge thriller full of heart, which not all novels in this genre can pull off. This takes skill and talent, and yet, with grace, Falcon pulls off this and then some together.

Where do I even start with this review? The book starts out with action so, I think I will take my cue from there. Go buy this book! You will not regret it. You don't have to start from the first in the series, though I would recommend it. Again, you won't be sorry!

Ronnie has done it again. I am a huge fan of this author and fully recommend all of her books. She has gone above and beyond with the Quiet Professionals series. I generally hate reviews that just say "This is an awesome book!" and leave it at that. I try to give more than that in my reviews. So here you go.

The second book in this trilogy, Hawk ended in a serious cliff hanger. Thankfully, I held off reading it until Falcon was released. I would have been pulling my hair out! Rather than starting Falcon after resolutions were miraculously solved, Kendig plunges you into the fray right at the start. This book starts with a bang and never lets up. There are several characters focused on and a lot of loose ends to tie. Somehow she does it without making the reader feel overwhelmed or lost in confusion.

Several times I wanted to chuck the book across the room. I was that invested and involved. That's a sign of a great book as far as I am concerned. I wish I could give you more details, but I am afraid a lot of them would be spoilers. I will tell you this, Raptor Team has a lot being thrown at them and they fight back, hard. The battle that ensues has you gasping and on the edge of your seat. Chapter after chapter they are fighting for their lives, the enemy seemingly several steps ahead of them. Kendig keeps you guessing and throws a few punches of her own. This is a gripping and compelling book. Anything else I say will spoil the plot or be more gushing. I hope you decide to read it!

*I received a free copy of this book. However I am under no obligation to read or review. I do so of my own free will. My words are honest and my own*

FALCON is the third installment in The Quiet Professionals Series, and once again, Ms. Kendig’s writing draws you in from the very start.

Raptor team member, Warrant Officer Salvatore “Falcon” Russo is as tough as they come. Being a part of the Raptor Team is his life. But, there are deep wounds behind the ‘no guts, no glory’ persona. One of those wounds is Cassandra Walker. Hate and bitterness is all Falcon feels for Cassandra, so when she is assigned to Raptor Team to help take down terrorist Meng-Li-Jin, it challenges Falcon, and his ability to follow the orders given to him. Cassandra is responsible for the death of people that were front and center in his life. Putting his team in her hands in the last thing he wants to do.

Cassandra Walker has never loved another man beside Salvatore Russo. But she knows all too well that Salvatore blames her for doing the inexcusable. When assigned to Raptor, Cassandra feels this is her chance to get close to Sal again, and maybe repair the damages she’s done. Unfortunately, it only proves to push him farther away. She has so much she wants to explain to Sal, but knows she doesn’t stand a chance.

When things go sideways for Raptor, the team doesn’t know who to trust. The walls are closing in around them, and defining who is friend or foe becomes even harder.

I don’t know how she does it! Ronie Kendig is phenomenal when it comes to edge of your seat suspense that is articulated to perfection. Her characters are flawed, and many are struggling with deep-seeded wounds, but that’s what makes them real and relatable. Spirituality is not front in center in this series. Though characters talk of God and pray, it’s not the focal point of the story or the characters. But you know it is their patriotism and their faith that get them through the trials and struggles they face in their everyday world.

A must read for anyone who likes to hold their breath while reading.

I awarded this novel a rating of 5 stars. However... I could have easily awarded this novel a rating of 10-15 stars if I could have because I think that this novel deserved it. Before I started reading, FALCON, the third novel included in The Quiet Professionals series by Ronnie Kendig, I must admit that I had high expectations for it. Both of the previous novels included in The Quiet Professionals series, RAPTOR 6 and HAWK, had been good from beginning to end, so I expected the same rating from FALCON too. However... When I started reading FALCON, I must admit that I was disappointed. I just could not get into the plot of this novel as easily as I could either RAPTOR 6 or HAWK before it. Thankfully, though, I found that I enjoyed reading FALCON once I actually did get into it. In fact, I felt that FALCON surely surpassed the high expectations that I held after finishing HAWK. I just could not put this novel down once my interest was finally piqued. I just could not wait to find out what would happen to the members of these Special Forces Operations Teams and the people around them. I felt that Ronnie Kendig did an excellent job fashioning the plot for this final novel in The Quiet Professionals series. FALCON was a page-turner once the action began. The constant twists and turns kept me guessing until the very end. What a way to end a series!

Blew Me Away

Besides writing fast-paced action fiction, Ronie Kendig is also a champion in creating characters who despite their flaws I can’t help but love. It has happened before that I didn’t care so much about a certain character in a previous Kendig book – but when becoming the main character in the next book and I understood their motives behind their behavior, they became my new friends. Making friends between the pages is one of the best things that can happen to a reader.

Sal (Falcon) wasn’t my favorite character in the previous books and I didn’t like the way he treated Cassie at the end of Hawk—book 2 in the Quiet Professionals Series. But getting to know him and Cassie’s history, made me feel for them and understand why their situation was ‘not ideal’ and sparked controversy. I became to love these two and found myself rooting for them throughout the book.

Although each book in this series deals with another mission, there are cyber terrorists working against Raptor throughout the whole series. You best read the books in order.

Fast-paced, heart-pounding, rapid-fire fiction with lots of twists and turns and more than one unexpected surprises! Kendig did it again – she wrote another favorite!

Ronie Kendig is a sleep stealer! Falcon is a fast-paced and engaging read and one that is very hard to put down. I do not recommend beginning the book right before bed time. Ronie's characters are richly developed and genuine. One of the most appealing things for me about Ronie's writing is that the reader gets to hear from each character's voice. I also really like the way she weaves their back stories fluently as the story progresses. While you could read Falcon as a stand alone book, I recommend beginning with book one in the series in order to experience a richer and fuller experience with the Raptor team.

The emotion in Falcon is palpable at times and I found myself literally "sitting on the edge of my seat" at certain points in the story. I felt anger and was wiping tears at the turn of the page. The turmoil experienced by Salvatore and Cassandra personally and relationally added a depth to the story. Ronie does a superb job of writing a rapid action story that isn't confusing to follow that highlights the camaraderie of a strong group of men, the real struggles of faith in the midst of real life and the growth of a tender love story. There's a little bit of something for everybody and Ronie pulls it all together extremely well in Falcon.

Ronie Kendig is always a "must read" author. I was excited to read Falcon and even more excited to have my expectations surpassed.

As always the military detail and suspense is fast paced and thrilling. But where Kendig shines is how the characters drive the story. At the end of Hawk, Falcon is relatively unknown but that changes quickly. We also get inside Titanus's head and that is interesting. It's a story of redemption and faith as Falcon and Cassie deal with past mistakes and grudges. It's a chilling ride as team members are in mortal danger. It's so humbling to read and realize the risks our soldiers face for our freedom and the freedom of oppressed people. And it is so nice to find out who the mole is (I was right!) and to have that plot line wrapped up.

As with all Ronie Kendig's books, I highly recommend this, just read the previous two books first.

Thanks to Netgalley and Publishers for providing a copy of the book in exchange for my honest review.

This series has been so good! I love the characters with all their hangups and how they fight so hard for their country even with deep wounds in their personal ives. This book dealt with an interesting topic one you would never dream would inflict a soldier. But the author did a great job of portraying it, and no I'm not going to tell you what it was. Just know it was really interesting and at time really intense in this story.

Loved the series, I'm hoping it's not the end of it.

This was one of those books that had me at the edge of my seat. I very much did enjoy this read. I was so hooked I read it within a day. The author did a great job of creating this book. I can say I am definitely a fan of this book. The characters all bring something to the story. I would love to read more from this author in the future.

Set in Afghanistan, “Falcon” the third exciting thriller in the “Quiet Professionals” series opens with an attack on the U.S. Army’s Communications-Electronic Command (CECOM) building and the shooting of General Burnett. Coupled with a mole sabotaging the team and disruption of the super-secure network the Raptor team has its hands full with an investigation that sends Australian SAS officer Eamon "Titanis” Straider and Lieutenant Brie Hastings undercover to Trakkar Towers; Lieutenant Cassandra Walker meeting an old friend and Meng-Li Jin’s lover; as well as Warrant Officer Salvatore “Falcon” Russo into explosive life-and-death situations while tracking down the terrorists.

As the violence mounts and the Raptor team draws closer to identifying the cyber terrorists and the mole the conflict between Falcon and Cassie escalates as he continues to be haunted by Vida’s tragic death four years earlier. Emotionally-riveting as Falcon battles his demons trying to overcome his pain with self-inflicted wounds Cassie tries desperately to overcome his resistance making overtures of peace while trying to protect an old friend considered an enemy, an act that in the eyes of Falcon and the team would be viewed as a betrayal.

Fast-paced the action never slows with tunnel cave-ins, exploding buildings and shootings as the plot twists and turns with insights that include the consequences of Falcon and Cassie’s past relationship and a surprising ending to a blossoming romance. Well-written and intriguing, amid the secrets, lies, deception and betrayals, a strong element of faith shines through as Falcon discovers the promise of forgiveness and redemption.

Bringing the plot to life are powerful and complex characters like intense, hot-tempered and direct Salvatore “Falcon” Russo a skilled soldier who’s duty-oriented, protective and loyal to his brothers-in-arms. Lt. Cassandra Walker is determined, brave, empathetic and vulnerable in her love for Falcon while Lt. Brie Hastings is tough, independent and focused. These personalities and others infuse the story with intensity and suspense that make it a page-turner from beginning to end.

I loved the realism and strong sense of faith that makes “Falcon” a novel that will hold you hostage until finished.

Jaw dropping, edge of your seat, rapid-fire Fiction. I absolutely could not stop reading this book. Kendig had me hooked from page one, and the rest of the world faded away as I was taken on an adventure with the amazing Raptor 6 team. I found myself questioning those in command right alongside Falcon and the Captain. Kendig does writing like no other. Her military suspense takes my breath away, and never fails to make me even more thankful and patriotic. This story follows Salvatore“Falcon” Russo and Cassandra Walker, someone who he used to trust implicitly.

Life throws some stuff at you, and sometimes finding a way to cope isn’t easy. Falcon is the best of the best, but sometimes regrets and guilt can eat at person. Sal will do anything for his team, and they will stop at nothing to protect the people and country they love. Falcon is the third book in the Quiet Professionals and is a total must read. I have read the first two, and loved every minute of them as well. I received a copy of this book from the publisher and was in no way forced to post a review. All opinions expressed are my own.

This series has been an intense ride! I really enjoyed Hawk and couldn't wait to dive into the finale of this story and see what happens.
Ronie Kendig's military suspense style is on point!
She has the stakes high and the action full speed.
I didn't really care for Sal unfortunately, I found him to be not up to par with her other heroes and I got mad at him for what he did to both of the women in his past.
For me Eamon was the real star of the show in this book. I really liked him. Like....a lot! I really have come to like all of these guys on the team. Dean was so steadfast and true,I loved Hawk.
Falcon is the only one that I didn't click with.
I am eager to read the following novels because it is about Eamon!
I feel like this series is about capturing a glimpse into the scene of deployment. These books are a look into this intense period of time. And Kendig is a master of keeping the tension high!

Falcon (The Quite Professionals BK3)

Warning review contains spoilers:
I love Falcon’s story and I couldn’t stop reading it and it has so many twists and turns to the plot. Falcon aka Sal Russo who is a part of team Raptor.
The first twist in the Cassie, who is Sal’s ex-girlfriend who hasn’t told him about their 4 old daughter Mila.
The next twist to the plot is who is the all the bad guys trying to kill team Raptor? Is General Burnet and Hawk really dead? How many traitors are working for the own gain to help destroy Team Raptor is it Ramsey, Brie, Boris,Tang, or Daniel or all them combined?
Will Sal ever forgive Cassie and let his heart open up to meet his sweet girl Mila?
So happy to read about Dean aka Raptor 6 get married to Double Z aka Zahra. Hawk popping the question to Z’s cousin was adorable I couldn’t stop laughing about it.

This was a surprisingly good read, well-thought out and executed. My biggest problem with it is that is at heart a romance set in military context. Once again, the scenes of war are descriptive enough, but the underlying emotions, especially the Love lives of the characters, weighs it down for me.

If anything, this story points out the perils of having women in the military, both to them and to the cohesion of the corps. Men will misbehave, as will women. Put them together and . . . it’s an opportunity to demonstrate character for the godly and a tough trial for those less-so.

Another fabulous read by Ronie Kendig! She ties the series together with Falcon's story. It is action-packed and full of twists you just don't see coming. I audibly gasped enough that my family would look and say, "Oh, she's just reading again..." It is fast-paced right through the end - which is tied up so well.

Good action. Involved plot. Sometimes I felt as if certain facts were left out of the narrative to keep me from putting things together ... and I really needed those facts to help me keep things straight. But other than that, enjoyed the series and characters presented there.

Intense action softened by tender romance

This was my first Kendig novel and it won't be my last. Typically not drawn to high action stories of this degree but thoroughly enjoyed one! Faith, action, believable difficulties all wrapped up in a tender romance.
