Very informative. The book itself has glossy, high quality images printed in thick, high quality paper. I always have it handy when I sit down to play some RDR2.
I only have two gripes: First, I would prefer the table of contents to be more detailed and the contents more organized. Sometimes I have trouble locating a specific thing I am currently looking for. I know it's impossible to fit 100% of the game in a guide, but because some things are not organized alphabetically I sometimes struggle to find them and am unsure whether they are included or not. Second, I mainly wanted this book to help me hunt for pelts. This includes the location for certain animals and such. While it does include all this information, the map with the location of each animal is so tiny that I have legitimate trouble making out where an animal's habitat is. This is especially true for the Lagras rare birds. I don't mind them having extremely sporadic spawn rates (it makes sense because they're rare), but since their habitat is so limited, looking them up in the tiny map is legitimately strenuous. I understand that, with so many animals the individual maps had to be small in order to fit them all, but I think this could have been remedied by including a full two-page spread with a consolidated habitat map where you could see the areas more clearly.
Despite these gripes, I really enjoyed the game guide. It allowed me to do some things I would've never done in my first run through. Definitely a must for completionists such as myself.
Brilliantly written and thoroughly in-depth, this guide is excellent for both casual and hardcore Red Dead players. A must if you’re a fan of the series!
