Disappointing

I regret buying this book. For me it came across ad mealy-mouthed Christianity and I am a devout Christian. I know every word written directly from my own Bible study. Clearly Aleechea Pitts has not ever experienced the manipulation of a narcisstic parent who for 60 years imposed her will on her daughter, totally disregarding her daughter's right to exist separately, instead of to serve her mother and listen to her endlessly recounting the issues which affected her life as a child, like a stuck broken record.
Clearly the author has not married an abusive manipulative narcisstic man, chosen for her by her mother.
Clearly her mother's jealousy of her daughter has never been part of her life.
Bitterness is not the issue here. Hard reality is.
Since it is known that the Jezebel and Ahab spirits work through narcisstic manipulative people, and the Lord in Revelations tells of His feelings towards churches who tolerate the Jezebel, it cannot be good for a Christian to be subject to and under the influence and control of someone in agreement with these spirits. Clearly spiritism is a sin so it is undesireable that a Christian should be subjected to the domination, belittling, manipulation and control of a mother practising spiritism. So no. I will not restore our relationship. I am praying and loving from afar, which is the only sentence of value I found in this book.
