Kate Baray writes page-turning urban fantasy with relatable characters.
When Kate's not tapping away at her keyboard or in deep contemplation of her next fanciful writing project, she's sweeping up hairy dust bunnies and watching British mysteries.
Kate is from Austin, Texas (where many of her stories take place) but has recently migrated north to Boise, Idaho, where soup season (her favorite time of year) lasts more than two weeks.
She's worked as an attorney, a dog trainer, and in various other positions, but writer is the hands-down winner. She's thankful readers keep reading, so she can keep writing!
Kate's series include Lost Library and Spirelli Paranormal Investigations. Under the pen name Cate Lawley, Kate (aka Cate!) writes Vegan Vamp Mysteries, Death Retired Mysteries, Fairmont Finds Canine Cozy Mysteries.
I have really enjoyed this series, and while this book was very short at less than 100 pages, it still had all the action, suspense, excitement and magic as the rest of the books in the series.
I love Lizzie! She is smart, brave, determined and kind. She's also a kick-ass witch with a hilarious sense of humour and an appreciation of the ridiculous. She is just a fantastic main character for this series.
As I said, this book was short, so it was a fast, easy read. But it was very exciting and entertaining and I enjoyed it.
The fourth and final book and the theories, the shortest one at about a 160 pages very short though, will plot to it delay the foundation not nearly as good as the rest of them, and it's probably an end to the theories. I think you add out of storyline for the main character. Well see how the witches diary goes out
I love reading serial books. I fall in love with the characters and never want them to end. I really enjoy reading this type of book; ones that make you feel that they really could be true. I love magic!!
I enjoyed this story quite a lot. The characters are all quite interesting. The plot is easily followed, and the premise is finding out how to stop the necromatic effects occurring. They found the culprit causing the trouble and discovered another surprise. I definitely recommend this book!
This is the 4th book in the Lost Library series. And final although there are some short stories I haven't read. I'm always a sucker for library related stories and the only disappointment with these books is that in the first 3 the library is less i involved. The final book could have been longer too as one thread is left hanging. Resolved apparently but how it happened and how it was resolved is not explained. Overall, i enjoyed the books and thought that they worked well.
I still hate them for not having the talk, even in the wildest dreams or bed time Stories to her but who cares ... Ending matters n I am satisfied ... Good work beloved author
