BORING!
This book is super boring. I thought its going to be forbidden romance. But it turns out to be a boring book. Characters, especially Alice is super annoying. And Nate is a jerk who is unable to make up his mind.
The story is flat. There is no forbidden romance. But only focusing on Nate' s career.

Charming and alluring, this book was just what the doctor ordered. Nate and Alice's story was as delicious as eating a piece of chocolate cake but without the calories, and I couldn't have enough.
Alice Bennett is the happy restaurateur, with a sharp tongue. Her sassy attitude and sharp instinct have taken her exactly where she wants to be in life. Regardless of her brothers success in the luxury jewelry business, Alice has achieve triumph on her own with her restaurants. She knows she can count with the full support of her loving family any time she might need it, but independence has always been important to her.
Alice has always been attracted to her older brother's friend Nate. He is a very successful TV producer and his job has him constantly traveling, all over the world. Even though both Nate and Alice have always liked each other, timing and logistics have never been on their side.
Nate is in San Francisco for two weeks before he has to move to London indefinitely, for his next project. When Nate was a young boy he became an adopted Bennett. When his parents had divorced and he needed love and attention, The Bennett's were always there for him, so he's looking forward to spend time with them before he has move to London.
Alice and Nate can't help but to be drawn to each other, and Alice is helpless against Nate's Alpha male tendencies. Is not long before these two succumb to their strong desires. Can they gamble and play a sexy game, or will they put everything on the table, without caring about the consequences and, risk to end up with a broken heart?
I know I've said it before, but I'll say it again; this series keeps getting better and better with each book. Every single member of the Bennett family has an amazing character trade that simply makes for the best stories. Together or individually they are all a hit! These books are always sexy and highly entertaining. I really hope this author continues to write about these characters forever. A delightful read, not to miss!

From the intriguing synopsis to the sexy cover, Hagen has managed to deliver a heartwarming story about second chances at love and new beginnings. At the very start we get to meet Alice Bennett, a successful entrepreneur who has worked hard to open up her own restaurants around town. Being part of a big family has definitely kept her close, and now that she is opening another restaurant with one of her brother's, she can't wait to start a new adventure. That is until she runs into Nate, a close family friend and successful TV producer. As someone who is constantly on the move, Nate has been away for a while, but when Alice sees him again emotions start to resurface. She knows that she is asking for trouble the minute Nate proposes to take their relationship further, but she is willing to take a chance on them before he leaves again.
Nate has never stayed in San Francisco for too long, always being all over the world has kept him busy, especially when he is a top TV producer. He loves what he does, and for a while he has been aiming for a particular project in London yet while he waits to hear from them, he decides to spend time with the Bennetts. He has become very close to the family over the years, but Alice stood out to them the most, even when he knew that her brothers weren't going to be happy if he asked her out. Now he has found the perfect chance to see if they can have a relationship before he is called to work again. Despite his work he wants to make things work with Alice, but the more time they spend together, the more he starts to question if he truly wants to leave her and everything behind again.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, it was witty and romantic. Nate is one of those characters who is kind and loving towards Alice that will just melt your heart. He really wants to help Alice, and even though he is constantly thinking about his next job offer, he wants to make things work with her. He has known her for a very long time, and just when things were getting better everything chances when he is offer the job in London. Meanwhile, Alice is smart and funny, she has become very successful career wise. Yet, she longs to have a family just her siblings have. When she is reunited with Nate it's their magnetic attraction and long nights together that bring them closer than ever before. Now they to find a way to work together if they want to make things work. The flow of the story was perfect and the ending will leave you wanting for more. I would highly recommend reading Your Alluring Love and any other book by the author, you will not regret it. ;)

Alice has had feelings for Nate for years but, as a longtime friend of the large Bennett family, she's certain that he considers her as nothing more than a friend, or his best friend's younger sister. But when Nate spends several weeks in town while waiting for a new project to start, the time they spend together proves that her feelings aren't so unrequited after all.
Your Alluring Love is the third book I have read in the Bennett Family series and it was great to return to this large close-knit clan and watch as another sibling found her happily ever after. Alice was a strong and capable woman, owning two of her own restaurants and opening a third with her brother. I appreciated the fact that she was ambitious and hard-working and didn't feel like her life was on hold, or somehow less, just because there wasn't a man in her life. Nate was devoted to his career as a television producer and steered clear of relationships after enduring the fall-out from his mother's two failed marriages. I loved that, despite that, he didn't fight his feelings for Alice every step of the way. He pursued her and was open with how he felt.
While this wasn't my favorite of the Bennett Family series and I didn't fully connect with Alice and Nate as well as some of the family members, this was still a completely enjoyable read and a welcome continuation to the series. And while Your Alluring Love is the sixth in the series it can easily be read as a stand alone. Fans who enjoy their contemporary romance on the lighter side, without a lot of drama and angst, will appreciate Your Alluring Love - and all the books in the Bennett Family series.

Auch den sechsten Teil hab ich nun gelesen und obwohl ich Alice echt gerne habe, hat es mich nicht so von sich überzeugen wie sein Vorgänger. Wahrscheinlich waren meine Erwartungen nach meinem Lieblingsband zu hoch. Die Geschichte war trotzdem süß und ich habe es auch gerne gelesen. Zumindest kann ich jetzt sagen, dass ich mir auf jeden Fall alle Namen gemerkt habe und sie sogar nach dem Alter sortieren kann. Ich bin noch immer Fan von den Bennetts und ich kann auch die nächsten Bände kaum abwarten, aber dieser Band war auch ein schwächeres Buch.

Wenn es eine Reihe gibt, die ich 2018 ins Herz geschlossen habe und die zu meinen absoluten Highlights zählt, dann ist es die Diamonds For Love Reihe. Diese Bücher sprühen immer nur so vor Charme, Witz und Liebe. Und dabei ist jedes Buch scheinbar noch besser als das vorhergehende. Wobei das kaum möglich scheint, denn alle spielen für mich im 5 Sterne Niveau. Und da bildet Band 6 der Reihe Betörende Blicke absolut keine Ausnahme.
Wenn ihr die bisherigen Bücher der Reihe verfolgt habt, dann wisst ihr auch, dass nach und nach jeder der Bennett Geschwister seinen Partner fürs Leben findet. Und dieses mal ist Alice Bennett an der Reihe. Denn als Sebastians bester Freund Nate für zwei Wochen nach San Francisco zurückkehrt, trifft er auch endlich wieder auf die gesamte Bennett Familie. Inclusive Alice, zu der er sich schon lange hingezogen fühlt. Und auch Alice hat schon seit ihrer Jugend eine Schwäche für Nate. Doch die unsichtbare Linie wollte keiner von beiden je übertreten. Bis zu Nates Rückkehr. Nur was passiert, wenn Nate nach den zwei Wochen nach London ziehen muss? Ist er bereit seinen Traumjob für ihre Beziehung aufzugeben? Oder verlässt Alice möglicherweise doch San Francisco und damit ihre Familie?
Bisher waren es ja vor allem die Bennett Brüder die ihre Liebe gefunden haben. Okay, es gibt ja auch nur 3 Schwestern. Aber mit Alice kam endlich die zweite Schwester an die Reihe und diese hat mich genauso begeistert wie ihre älteren Brüder. Denn Alice ist nicht nur nicht auf den Mund gefallen, sondern auch frech und wirklich witzig. Es hat wirklich Spaß gemacht, sie näher kennenzulernen. Vor allem aber auch ihre ernste und geschäftliche Seite. Die ziemlich kontrolliert und etwas neurotisch ist. Aber diese ganzen Facetten haben Alice zu einen wirklich tollen Person gemacht. Und ja, natürlich gab es auch ein paar Stellen, da hätte ich sie am liebsten geschüttelt. Aber hey, das passiert im realen Leben auch ab und zu.
Tja und Nate? Er hatte schon zu Beginn ein schweres Los bei mir. Denn der Protagonist aus meinen liebsten Buch teilt seinen Namen, weswegen Nate ein wenig vorbelastet ist. Aber er hat es definitiv geschafft, mich von sich zu überzeugen. Denn Nate ist nicht nur unglaublich sexy (jap, das ist er wirklich total), sondern er ist vor allem auch überraschend süß. Das hätte ich ihm, zumindest am Anfang, absolut nicht zugetraut. Und gerade zum Ende des Buches hin, hatte ich mich dann wirklich ein klein wenig in ihn verliebt. Denn was ist schon besser, als ein Mann, der seine Träume für die Liebe aufgeben würde?!
Die Beziehung der beiden, was soll ich dazu noch sagen? Ich habe schon mehrmals betont, dass Bücher, bei denen aus Freundschaft Liebe wird, mir die liebsten sind. Und wenn es wie bei bei Nate und Alice eine Freundschaft ist, die schon seit den Teenagerjahren besteht, ist das noch ein Pluspunkt. Denn diese Geschichten haben (wenn sie gut sind natürlich) schon von Anfang an eine besondere Tiefe. Und genau das war auch bei Betörende Blicke der Fall. Man hat die Verbindung zwischen den beiden einfach schon die gesamte Zeit gespürt. Und als dann auch noch das kribbeln zwischen ihnen hinzukam, wurde es nur noch besser.
Etwas was ich an dieser Stelle einfach immer erwähnen muss wenn ich ein Buch über die Bennett-Familie rezensiere, ist natürlich die Familie selbst. Für mich steht eines fest (also Layla sollte das irgendwie bei dir ankommen) ich würde liebend gerne eine adoptierte Bennett werden! Diese Familie ist einfach so toll. Loyal und wundervoll chaotisch, doch dabei auch so liebevoll. Ich finde die komplette Familie einfach großartig und freue mich schon jetzt auf jedes weitere Buch!

In "Betörende Blicke" geht es um Alice Bennett und Nate Becker. Hab ich mich gefreut. Alice ist eine meiner Lieblinge und ich war richtig gespannt auf ihre Geschichte, wer ihr Herz erwärmt und habe mich richtig gefreut Nate kennenzulernen.
Hier ist das Hauptproblem, die Entfernung und es ist so interessant zu lesen, wie die beiden das meistern wollen.
Die Probleme liegen auf der Hand, aber es geht nicht völlig drunter und drüber. Die Menschen verhalten sich wie erwachsene Menschen und das ist einfach klasse und auch mal erfrischend so zu lesen.
Wie immer finde ich auch den Rest der Familie Bennett herzallerliebst. Alle halten zusammen, verkuppeln sich gegenseitig und haben ein großes Herz.
Wie in jedem Band der Reihe, ist der Schreibstil locker und leicht, so dass sich das Buch richtig schnell weglesen lässt. Allerdings ziehe ich auch hier wieder einen Stern ab, weil mir die Erotik zu groß geschrieben wird. Cover finde ich auch gelungen.
Hier ist das Hauptproblem, die Entfernung und es ist so interessant zu lesen, wie die beiden das meistern wollen.
Die Probleme liegen auf der Hand, aber es geht nicht völlig drunter und drüber. Die Menschen verhalten sich wie erwachsene Menschen und das ist einfach klasse und auch mal erfrischend so zu lesen.
Wie immer finde ich auch den Rest der Familie Bennett herzallerliebst. Alle halten zusammen, verkuppeln sich gegenseitig und haben ein großes Herz.
Wie in jedem Band der Reihe, ist der Schreibstil locker und leicht, so dass sich das Buch richtig schnell weglesen lässt. Allerdings ziehe ich auch hier wieder einen Stern ab, weil mir die Erotik zu groß geschrieben wird. Cover finde ich auch gelungen.

Meine Meinung
Ich habe ja schon einige Bücher aus dieser Reihe gelesen. Daher habe ich mich sehr auf diesen Teil gefreut, da ich mehr über Alice erfahren wollte.
Der Einstieg ist mir sehr leicht gefallen. Man kennt die Charaktere ja nun mittlerweile schon und ich muss sagen, dieser Teil konnte mich aufgrund der Hauptprotagonisten von Anfang bis Ende begeistern.
Es geht hier wie gesagt um Alice, die mehrere Restaurants betreibt. Sie trifft auf einem Familientreffen ihren heimlichen Schwarm, den Freund ihrer Brüder, Nate nach länger Zeit wieder und ihre Gefühle leben wieder auf. Er soll aufgrund eines sehr interessanten Jobangebotes aber bald die Stadt verlassen. Hat ihre Liebe dennoch eine Chance?
Mir hat hier einfach alles gut gefallen. Die Charaktere fand ich toll, auch die Entwicklung der Geschichte konnte mich durchaus begeistern. Vor allem die erotischen Szenen fand ich sehr gelungen, obwohl mich das sonst nach einiger Zeit etwas stört. Dies war hier aber nicht der Fall.
Alles in allem kann ich hier eine klare Kauf- und Leseempfehlung geben. Für mich ist dies neben dem 1. Teil bisher der beste Teil der Reihe. Ich werde sie auf jeden Fall weiter verfolgen.
Von mir bekommt das Buch die vollen 5 Sterne.

I’m a huge fan of the Bennett Family series because of how crazy cool their parents are, still deeply in love all these years later after all those kids, ha! With role models like their happily married parents, how can the Bennett siblings not be successful in love ultimately? And I love how the siblings all relate to each other differently and have fallen in love with unique challenges to overcome.
So far, Alice was the 6th Bennett family member to find love and the right person to accompany her on the path to a HEA. She found it with Nate, someone who’d been around when she was growing up. Nate was a frequent visitor at the Bennett home. He went there to escape from his mom’s turbulent relationship with his then step-dad during his youth. Fast forward to current day, and now adult Alice and Nate finally decided to risk the Bennett siblings’ scrutiny and potential ire - if things were to go tits up between them that is - by giving into to their simmering attraction.

I enjoyed experiencing the progression of Alice and Nate’s love story. I liked the coziness of their shared past as young friends morphing into mature, sexy and often playful romantic love. I started reading their love story at a really busy time in my life, so I wasn’t able to read it as quickly as I’d hoped. That said, I actually enjoyed savoring it and dipping back into their world as a stress reliever whenever I could.
And then finally, I had some concentrated time over my Memorial Day weekend to really focus read for the home stretch. Finding out how these two could overcome the geographical challenge Nate’s long coveted overseas job as a television show producer created for them was crazy satisfying. I read the last sentence in the epilogue with a huge smile on my face. Today, while looking back at my GoodReads updates before I started writing this review, I felt yet another grin of pure pleasure on my face because it was such a good reading experience for me.

If you're in the market for sweet, sexy, light-hearted romance, this series is for you. It follows the Bennett sibling as they fall like dominos to the mighty force of love. Each story can be read as a standalone, but there are definite links to the other books in the series.
Here's what I enjoyed: The story is sweet, sexy, and swoony. Any romance reader looking for a fun, light, fairly quick read will enjoy this book.
The main characters - Both Alice and Nate are strong, successful, and unbelievably attracted to one another. Their chemistry sizzles! Although their friendship is important, they can't help but steam up a few windows.
The conflict - it's not often I say this, but the story setup and conflict were simple, concise, sometimes predictable, but I loved it. Sometimes, I enjoy just kicking back and reading a book for pure pleasure and a romantic escape. This book satisfied that need perfectly!
I only had a couple minor issues. The first is probably me, but I can't always keep all the couples and their significant others straight anymore. There are a lot of siblings and I had a bit of difficulty placing them at times. My only other small problem was with the wording in a couple of the steamy bits. Again, that's all personal preference and did not detract from my overall enjoyment of the book.
Overall, this is a really sweet and sexy read. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series!

Das Cover sieht wieder richtig schön aus. Die Farbe Rot leuchtet richtig toll.
In diesem Teil geht es um Alice. Sie hat bereits zwei erfolgreiche Restaurants gegründet und möchte nun zusammen mit ihrem Bruder Blake ein Restaurant/Bar eröffnen. Ihr heimlicher Schwarm Nate kehrt außerdem wieder nach San Francisco zurück und sofort sprühen die Funken zwischen den beiden. Schon seit Ewigkeit hat Alice für ihn Gefühle, doch sie möchte die Freundschaft zu ihm nicht ruinieren.
Die Basis der Geschichte kennt man als Liebesroman-Leser wohl nur zu gut. Die Umsetzung hat mir aber wirklich gefallen. Die beiden stehen zu ihren Gefühlen und es gab Gott sei Dank kein ewiges Hin und Her. Ich fand es wirklich großartig wie sich die Beziehung Stück für Stück entwickelt hat.
Alice ist ein richtiger Schatz, gerade in Bezug auf ihre Familie. Sie hält sich durchaus in manchen Belangen zurück, aber weis auch wann sie laut werden muss.
Nate hat sofort mein Herz gestohlen. Er hat ein freches Mundwerk und verführt Alice nur zu gerne. Die beiden zusammen waren großartig und man konnte die Funken regelrecht spüren. Beide stehen fest im Leben und wissen was sie möchten. Ich fand es erfrischend, dass die beiden stets ehrlich zueinander waren.
Die restliche Bennett Familie spielt natürlich auch wieder ein Rolle und ich sage es ja nach jedem Teil, dass ich auch adoptiert werden möchte. Die Liebe und Fürsorge in dieser Familie ist unglaublich und mit jedem Buch wachsen mir die Figuren noch mehr ans Herz.
Der Schreibstil ist wie gewohnt flüssig und leicht. Erzählt wird wieder abwechselnd aus Sicht von Alice und Nate. Ich finde das gut, weil man so als Leser die jeweiligen Gefühle und Gedanken der Figuren erfährt. Natürlich gab es auch wieder prickelnde Szenen, die gut geschrieben wurden. Die ein oder andere Szene hätte zwar wegfallen können, wenn es nach mir ginge, trotzdem wurden sie gut in die Handlung integriert.
Das Ende war mal wieder gut und teilweise auch bittersüß. Zwar muss ich gestehen, dass die Geschichte dieses Mal recht vorhersehbar war, vor allem der Endkonflikt. Dennoch wurde ich wieder gut unterhalten und habe diesen Ausgang nicht erwartet.
Fazit: Auch der 6. Teil ist wieder ein Herzensbuch und zuckersüß. Nate hat mich verzaubert und auch Alice war eine großartige Protagonistin. An den Vorgänger hat es aber nicht hingereicht. Dieses Mal war mir der Großteil der Geschichte zu vorhersehbar bzw. hat mir einfach noch ein Sahnehäubchen gefehlt. Die Geschichte ist dennoch wieder perfekt für zwischendurch. Jetzt heißt es warten auf Blakes Geschichte.

You have to be a huge character to out play the Bennett men, but Nate Becker has well and truly earned his Bennett stripes, he was all the hotness, full force of Sebastian with that sweet side of Logan. He is everything I wanted for Alice Bennett. This is yet another freaking awesome read in this series. I’m pretty sure I’ve said it in every review before, but these stories grab me in such a way it takes days before I move on. Layla has portrayed a beautiful family into a legacy.
Nate Becker is a tv producer and an honorary Bennett from their early days when they were a normal family. He has always had a soft spot for Alice, but being Sebastian and Logan’s younger sister meant she was off limits, but he has spent some memorable moments with her and as the years roll on, those feelings only grow.
Alice Bennett, is a restaurant owner, she’s smart, she’s sassy and she’s got her eyes on Nate. Knowing he’s only in San Francisco for a few weeks before starting his new job in London means, a little “fun”, some special time with a very special man. He holds nothing back, while she holds everything. Dates, laughs, hot glances to melt any underclothes and his dirty mouth = Alice in BIG trouble. With the opening of Blue Moon and an tv opportunity for her and Blake, Alice struggles with his advances and womanising ways. These two are the ultimate power struggle in all the good ways.
When everything is thrown into disarray with Nate’s job offer, Alice and Nate are given the opportunity to see where their relationship goes, in real time. He’s so sweet, I can’t get enough of him, wooing Alice should be easy, but when you run a tight ship like she does with her 3 restaurants, he will have his work cut out for him… Winning Alice will be his ultimate prize, but with that he must move forward with his own career, but is that worth losing his Alice forever.
As another Bennett finds there forever, it leaves only 3 left. Blake is next and we get the awesome Clara. Can’t wait to start this one…

Auf Alice' Geschichte war ich schon sehr neugierig!
Im Vorfeld gab es bereits die Anspielung auf ihre Schwärmerei für einen guten Freund der Familie und ich war mega gespannt, wer dieser jemand ist,
und wie sich „die Sache“ entwickeln wird.
Ich habe für die Geschichte 2 Anläufe gebraucht, um mich endgültig zwischen den Seiten verlieren zu können.
Beim 2. Mal war dann, wie bei den Andere zuvor auch, dass sofort diese Wohlfühlatmosphäre vorhanden war.
Zwischen Alice und Nate fliegen die Funken und es knistert gewaltig.
Trotz so mancher Gegensätze, passen sie zusammen, wie Topf & Deckel.
Als Pärchen sind die Zwei echt süß zusammen.
Auch als Personen fand ich die beiden toll.
Alice, ihre quirlige, aber auch taffe und unabhängige Art, mochte ich sehr!
Und auch Nate ist ein toller Charakter – charmant, selbstbewusst und kühn.
Ich fand es schön zu sehen, wie die Zwei zusammenfinden,
Doch irgendwas hat mir in der Story gefehlt.
Der Bennett-Clan sorgte im Hintergrund zwar für genug Ulk & Action,
aber die Entwicklung in der Beziehung von Alice & Nate plätscherte zuweilen etwas vor sich hin.
Sie geben das verliebte Pärchen, das kaum die Finger voneinander lassen kann.
Die vielen Bettszenen und das Süßholzgeraspel waren mir schon fast ein bisschen zu viel des Guten.
Insgesamt war es aber eine sehr süße und stimmungsvolle Liebesgeschichte
und definitiv wieder eine herzerwärmende Fortsetzung der Bennett-Reihe. ♥

And with him not being on one continent long also helps her to stay firmly placed in reality. Her business is picking up and she has a happy life. She finds that with more of her family falling in love and having children she wants the same thing. Lucky for her Nate is back in San Francisco for an undetermined time frame. Then things get interesting he helps Alice get a spot on one of the shows taping with his company. Things go further and they explore together. Then he gets that chance of a lifetime to produce one of the shows he has admired. But with things taking off with Alice this may not be the best time to move on.
With all the effort Nate had put in to making things a go with Alice he needs to weigh his options carefully. I found comfort in Alice and Nate. There was patience and not so much patience. Alice never wanted to feel like she was a consolation prize. Nate wanted the world and she just wanted to be with her family.
I enjoy that the narrators allow for a level of comfort with the various characters voice and familiarity.

3.5 ⭐️ solid read but just lacked a bit of something. I think after a grandmother with Alzheimer’s, sibling guardian, widowed father the stakes were higher. Alice is fierce and Nat hot but there just wasn’t that bit extra. I assume in one of the subsequent books they will move back to London because I don’t buy that they will be happy there long term especially not Alice. It feels like a HFN which just doesn’t fit it with the rest of the series, I guess I’ve been left hoping their actual HEA appears in a subsequent book

Torniamo a sentir parlare della famiglia Bennet, in questo caso di Alice; da sempre possiede un debole per Nate grande amico di famiglia al punto da essere definito un Bennet acquisito, ma che per lavoro viaggia molto.
Cosa succede se alla fine i protagonisti decidessero di mettere da parte le loro riserve e darsi una possibilità? Non resta che scoprirlo leggendo.
È una storia che parte bene con alto potenziale, nonostante i protagonisti si conoscano da anni ed entrambi possiedano un debole reciproco, la fase di corteggiamento e di costruzione della coppia è solido e ben strutturato.
Purtroppo però dopo un primo colpo di scena che avvicina maggiormente i protagonisti, il narrare degli eventi si perde un po' mettendo in mezzo ogni tre per due delle scene hot; diventando quasi noioso e ripetitivo.
La famiglia Bennet è adorabile e tira fuori ottime perle di saggezza che si potrebbero riutilizzare nella vita.

Your Alluring Love is already the sixth book in ‘the Bennett Family Series’ by Layla Hagen. This is the first book I’ve read from this series and although there are a lot of characters, I didn’t feel I was missing important information. Your Alluring Love tells the sweet, sexy story of Alice and Nate, I love it!
Alice Bennett is the proud owner of two popular restaurants, and has just opened a third one. Although she owns the places, Alice doesn’t feel too good to help in the kitchen when needed, and tries to divide her time between all three places. Since she’s so busy and all, Alice isn’t looking for a guy, but there is somebody on the back of her mind. For years she had (and still has) a big crush on Nate, the best friend of her oldest brother Sebastian. To her he’s the perfect guy, but she knows they won’t work.
Nate Becker’s childhood wasn’t a very happy one. His parents where constantly fighting, so he kind of grew up in the Bennett household. Nowadays he’s a successful tv executive producer, traveling the world wherever his work brings him. As he has spent a lot of time with the Bennett’s he has seen Alice change form a young girl into a pretty woman, and he cares more for her then he likes to admit. But since she’s the younger sister of his best friend she’s strictly forbidden, or so he thinks.
Alice and Nate have known each other for a long time, and always had feelings for each other. Well, Nate first saw Alice a sweet young girl, but that changed when she grew up. I love Your Alluring Love. I really like the author’s writing style and the way she makes her characters react to certain situations. Normally I don’t like overdramatic reactions, but since Alice knows what Nate wants out of life (she grew up with the guy!), I get her. Your Alluring Love has a great leading couple with lots of chemistry and a whole set of interesting secondary characters (who weren’t surprised by Nate and Alice at all). I’m definitely going to read to other books in the series.

Overall I really enjoyed the characters and book as a whole, but I felt something was missing in the storyline. I think it lacked drama, I think there needed to be just a little bit more, to keep me turning the pages faster. With that being said, I would still recommend this book to anyone who has read the other books, is a fan of Layla’s or just someone who likes a sweet and sexy love story between long time friends.
I always love jumping back into the Bennett Family stories. They make me feel like I am coming home. Each of these books bring a HUGE smile to my face.
Each of the books in this series can be read as a standalone novel, but I would truly recommend reading them in order. Your Alluring Love is part of the Bennett Family series and works very nicely as a standalone. I love this friends to lovers trope add family friend element with the San Francisco setting so even having not read much of the others I was excited. Right away you get into the story at hand where Nate and Alice meet again after sometime. As her older brother's best friend and Nate has been around ever since. While the sparks might be there he is leaving for another country soon and pursuing the evident chemistry will be difficult. He will do all he can to help her land a spot on a food show though.
It's a battle to deny the attraction and feelings for these two. With Nate being awesome guy aside from his good looks. Alice is hard working, kind person that's hard not to like. Both are extremely good likable people that had chemistry. When circumstances change though Nate goes all out to convince Alice to give them a shot. He does have his reservations but that bond he has with her is one of a kind. They started something good going what with the sizzling chemistry they have going on as well as their openness to one another.
I was thinking the shoe will drop sometime when you least expect. The transition from friends to more was more with family knowing Nate was pretty easy luckily aside from the friendly reminder. Plus the dude can be really swoony. As their relationship develops the tighter they grow but there's always that career issue for Nate that was somewhat hanging over their heads but when that opportunity does happen what will happen it's a choice for both of them? What will they choose?
It's that kind of writing grabs you into the story right away. I'm pretty glad they have a solid friendship background based on the intro. The author is great at integrating facts and flashbacks within the ongoing story to show that without making it dragging. I enjoyed their banter and playful dynamic but they can ramp up the heat as well. While I did hope the ending wouldn't be wrapped up till late I think that's her style leaving a hint for the next book. Layla Hagen created a world that I want go back to now. It was full of family, love, laughter, friendship and romance that charmed me.

First of all, can I just say that I have never been kissed out of my shoes and now it is the only thing I am thinking about!!! #LifeGoal

It's been over a year since I last read a book in this series, so when I spotted the audio books available, I jumped at the chance to get back to the series. While I didn't think this was the best book in the series, it was definitely enjoyable.
Nate is one of Alice's older brother's best friends, so Alice seems off limits to Nate, at least she use to be. Now she's a grown woman running several successful restaurants and Nate is back in town for a few weeks. They've always been attracted to each other, just never made it known until now. There is no denying their chemistry and attraction though and it doesn't take long for them to act on that attraction, even if it seems as though it may be temporary.
I loved that Alice was a strong independent woman, but she wasn't against letting Nate take the lead at times. I loved that Nate gave a relationship a chance despite not having the best relationship role models in his parents. These two worked really well together and their relationship was definitely believable.
My only complaint is that there was too much sex. I know, it's not something I'd normally complain about, it just seemed as though the development of their relationship took a back seat to those scenes at the end. They were definitely hot, I'll give it that, I just wanted more of the 'dating' part to make things a bit more realistic.
Still a great read and I'm looking forward to the next book.

I love the Bennett family and will be so sad when all of their stories have been told. It will be like loosing a family to moving. But at least that is not now because I had Alice's story I was honored to read. I just knew her story was going to be so good from all the hints we have gotten from the other books about her and her "secret crush". Well, let me tell you this book is oh so good. You have heard the expression "still waters run deep". Well this could explain both Alice and Nate to a T.
It is so funny how love is blind, deaf and dumb, ya know. The sisters and sisters in law all know that Alice has a thing for Nate but the brothers are slower to get on board. I see the connection and feel it. Love this series and can't wait for more from Layla Hagen. Until then guess I can just re-read the series from book 1-6..yes they are that good you can read them over and over again. Family, love, honor and of course ROMANCE.

Her and her brothers' long time childhood friend, Nate, comes back into town. Alice and Nate can no longer fight their attention to each other any longer. They have great banter and chemistry. Very entertaining book. Will the two of them find love with a happy ever after or will they go their separate ways??????????

I just love when you get into a series and they just keep getting better with every book. This series is one of those, but they have all been amazing from the beginning! This author draws you into her stories instantly. They are fun, flirty, sexy, and full of heart and heat. I have been waiting for Alice's story. We have been getting "teased" in previous books who Alice's love interest might be. And Nate was worth the wait. I loved watching them realize their attraction to each other and fall in love.
