Here's what you need to know
- It's an old edition so there are no digital photography tips
- The size is fine for taking along on a hike or field trip
- The chapters are well chosen and it's easy to locate advice on: outdoor activities, candids, children and babies, buildings, existing light, landscapes, nature, night photography, portraits, pets, etc.
- Good advice on travel photography
- Even better sections on: picture planning; seeing in two dimensions; the right angle; composition

Some advice doesn't change whether you are using a Brownie, Nikon, iPad, or smartphone. So 1 star deducted for missing the digital revolution. The best thing is that it comes in a handy size that encourages looking things up on the fly.
