OMG!!! What an ending to this book!! I didn't see that coming!! Poor Ash!! After opening his heart to his long lost love, flashback of his mother's behavior comes to light once again. Can't wait to read Betrayed (Blackthorne Brothers #3).

Moving Along
Ash Blackthorne and his former college girlfriend, Veronica James, start out on a rocky road after having been apart for ten years. Having taken the advice of his assistant, Amber, Ash explains to Veronica the serious impact his mother's abandonment had on him as a child and continues to have on him as an adult. But he feels he has changed, maybe enough to allow him to commit to a future relationship between them. When he asks her to move back to NYC to live full time, he learns that she has not been equally honest with him about her situation.
I'm my review of the first story in this series, I noted that although I was finding this storyline very enjoyable I was not feeling the emotional connection I require for a 5star rating. I had wondered whether that was due to the author's writing style or whether he was intentionally writing it that way in order to further display the effects of his mother's actions on Ash. After completing this book it seems to me, at this point, to be writing style. So, even though I am intent on continuing to read this series, I can't move up my rating. Still and all, it's certainly worth the read. I wouldn't waste my time or my stars if it wasn't.

Shattered, Book Two of the Blackthorne Brothers Series by A. Blackthorne left you exactly like its title...SHATTERED!!!
Ashton was everything you would want in a man on the outside, smart, sexy, rich and arrogance that makes you wet. But he is broken!! His mother left him without even saying goodbye and this caused him to not only close himself up from love, but to chase away the only person he truly cared for.
Veronica, wanted revenge against Ashton for her broken heart. She planned and executed the perfect way to take him down through his work. When things end up completely opposite of what she so strategically planned it threw both of them into a whole new place in their relationship. However, everything is not as simple as it seems and one devastating mistake can cost both of them A LOT!!
So captivated and in love with this story!!! Again I couldn't put the book down and found it so delicious and intoxicating that I want more. Bring on Betrayed!!!

OMG!!!!
So Veronica is back in Ash's life after he finds out her father's company bought a pharmaceutical company he was about to buy himself so they could keep working on a drug to cure an illness his father had before he passed away.. Ash learns things about himself that he's now able to do & finally starts a new chapter for himself & then a bombshell of news was dropped on him leaving him betrayed more than ever before.. Loved the book & feel so sorry for him.. Can't wait to start book 3... Keep up the great work!!!

Shattered is an appropriate title for book 2, which picks right up where Broken left off. I'm still a little bit in shock. His emotions ran the full gamut - from stunned to recovered to happy, hopeful and exuberant, and then utterly shattered, all in this fast-paced installment. So much happened here in this quick yet intriguingly steamy read, and we learn more and delve a little deeper into this deeply complex mind. I need more!

In this second book, Ash tries to get the company back from his ex that is working on a cure for cancer. It holds a special place in his heart as that is how he lost his dad. This also brings him closer to his ex girlfriend again and old feelings are brought back in again. But will everything turn out all right in the end? Stay tuned for the next book...I read this book as an ARC and this is my honest review.

I really enjoyed this book, it takes you on one heck of an emotional roller coaster ride. The characters are amazing and I love how the story flows. But the ending- never saw that coming. That just ripped my heart out.

WOW! This book is an emotional ride,and Shattered is a fitting title for this story. The story picks up where Broken ended, and I enjoyed following Ashton and Veronica's as it continued. Can't wait to read book three.

This was another excellent edition to the series. It was another well written and composed story that will leave you wanting for more. This book will play on your emotions and may even shatter your heart. It gets my seal of approval and is a must read.

This is an awesome book- I love how the story flows and the events that take place in the book leading up to the ending. But when the I got to the ending- I never saw that coming. That just ripped my heart out.

Ohmygoodness! I read this entire book this afternoon! I couldnt put it down!! Shattered doesn't even cover what happened to Ash! Veronica can't fix this. On to next book to see if Amber can help Ash pull the pieces of his heart together!

This is a gripping and emotional book that just keeps you wanting more and more. I loved the emotional side of this book. It's book 2 in this series and boy it doesn't disappoint at all. I loved this book.
