So you're curious about the ancient Egyptian Gods - not as dusty artifacts, but as genuine deities that continue to manifest in the present day. How would you go about working with, and worshiping, Them? This book gives direct answers, covering all the major Gods and Goddesses you've heard of - like Ra, Anubis, Isis - and many more that you probably haven't! With practical information on offerings and feast days, prayers and hymns, and a section on Nubian deities, this is the most complete Pagan-centered guide to the Egyptian pantheon you can find, written by a prominent Egyptian Pagan author backed by years of research, both academic and 'hands-on'.
Will always love this. While you still need to do further research, it is a quick overview of festivals, offerings, and how the Netjeru would be worshipped and what they would oversee in modern times.
I still remain the fact that Anpu is a huge glimmer in my life 😊 love him big.
---- Such a good resource on the practice of honoring egyptian deities 💜 I love reading this.
I love learning about Kemeticism. I have an Anpu space in my home but I never feel as though I know enough so one of my reading goals this year is to research and read texts of ancient Egypt. To learn how they did things so I can approach my appreciation for that culture appropriately.
Anpu has been a main glimmer in my life since I lost my baby. I love him.
Finally having read all 3 of LaBorde's practical kemetic books, I can say they're a pretty great resource. There is some repeated information that's in 'Following' and 'Circle', but I think each book has enough on its own to be worth checking out. I appreciated the more in depth information and modern practice associations with the netjeru provided in this book. And I'm definitely going to be digging deeper into the bibliography and reading those resources. I do wish there would have been a little more direct citation within the text, but it's still a solid place to start.
