Finding Fierce!

I just finished this book by someone I totally consider Wonder Woman-Rachel Fast Billups! Bold. Beautiful inside and out and Fierce Sister in Christ!

This is not your typical Author, Rachel talks the talk, walks the walk and takes us all with her; How can You Not live Boldly and Fiercely after reading this book? To Read the Book and be able to see and speak to a woman of God who changes everyone around her just with a smile or laugh, while sharing her true self and serving heart. To know you is to love you Rachel and I'm thrilled for the people who have or will read your words, dig deeper within themselves and see themselves as Fierce Daughter's of our Father in Heaven! A must read for teenagers and adults of all ages!

After seeing Rachel preach at a conference I attended I knew I Needed to check out this book. At first I didn’t feel challenged and felt the target audience wasn’t for clergy people. However, The book kept getting better and better and she gave me much to think about and ponder. I saw a clip of her taking about her favorite chapter in this book: chapter 8. She got emotional just talking about how it was her favorite. I was not disappointed and was glad I listened to that particular chapter on my way to pick up groceries rather than on my treadmill where I listened to a majority of this book. I so Appreciated Rachel’s willingness and vulnerability to share her story and inspire others to live into their fierce. This book was in fact for me too.

Throughout, the stories from her own life are interwoven with stories from the Bible to help the reader tap into their inner fierceness. Her Bible knowledge is deep, and her teaching style is on point. The stories from her own life are insightful and applicable to the reader seeking to learn how to better utilize his or her strengths and gifts. Her passion for women and their callings is evident in this book, and I highly recommend it as your next great read.

”Be Bold”entices a great journey to explore and find your fierce. Rachel uses encouragement with her experiences along with great biblical passages that bring charters to life and show their humanity. Reading “Be Bold” opened my mind to new perspectives and ways to consider other possibilities. How powerful our words and just our presence can be ! They can be FIERCE!! I encourage you to find your journey to your Fierce!

While I don't feel like the target audience for this book, still a lot of what Billups shares helps me grow even at age 70. I especially loved that she uses very honest and detailed stories from her life situations that illustrate her points. Too often, authors/people speak in generalities so that it's hard to see just what their point is. This is inspiring, real, and challenging. Also, coupling her stories with Biblical ones creates a powerful team...God is felt and heard as well.

We all need to be reminded that we are fierce. Rachel's book does just that, sharing relatable stories from both scripture and her own real-life experiences. This book is for everyone, all humans, churched or unchurched. You will find courage and comfort in every chapter <3

This book really spoke to me. A younger woman pastor and the challenges she has faced and the opportunities taken. Although, you have to wait until the last chapter for a Michigan connection!
