Timothy Ellis lives on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia; where he constantly battles with his cat for possession of his desk chair, Daleks do guard duty, and he keeps his sonic screwdriver next to his lightsaber and wand. Now there is a female Doctor Who, he eagerly awaits the sound of the Tardis materializing in his house.
He has spent his life reading and watching science fiction and fantasy, and has been playing Space Genre computer games since he used to be smuggled in to play the original text Star Trek game on a university mainframe, long before the PC or Apple appeared. Since 2004, he's written game guides for the Egosoft X Universe series, culminating in two versions of the X3 Handbook. He has also designed major mods for the various games, and dozens of mini mods.
He has been a farm worker, Antique Dealer, Computer Programmer, Systems Analyst, Operations Manager of a small retail chain, and Retail Store Owner. He is now a full time author, who still does Spiritual Healer and helper work.

Ridiculous by the end
The MC is so over powered, there is zero tension at all in this book.
The author's naive and hypocritical views on guns were amplified rather than toned down.
If you believe in the 'violence goes away when guns go away' and the 'government is trustworthy' mantra then this book is for you. If you have common sense, pass on this book, this series and this author.

I tried to over look it but the author just went overboard trying to shove his views on gun control down everyone's thoat. I don't even own a gun but I don't want an author having me PAY to have his views pushed on me...

Typical softhead politics
When governments disarm their citizens, the citizens get repressed by threat of government violence by gun. As this Australian author's home country has been progressively finding out, especially for the last few years under their semi police state regime.
It works in the story because the MC is pretty much a Deity level OP character with the ability to trash virtually every superhero imagined attacking him at once.

Not a bad story, nice solution to the issues raised in the previous book. Only thing is, I can't even begin to agree with the whole take guns away from everyone, then there won't be any violence thing. Anyone who looks up the appropriate statistics, will discover that in general, the places with the toughest gun laws, also have the highest crime rates. It's easy to rob someone when you know for certain they aren't carrying. Conversely, the cities with the highest gun ownership per capita tend to also be the ones with the lowest crime rates. Folks aren't quite so willing to try robbing someone who might shoot their sorry ass for trying. Good concept though, got to give points for effort. Besides that silly nonsense, the story wasn't bad at all.

I gave this book a 4 of 5 because there were times where I was really quite moved, a laugh, a tear, it was clever and interesting. This said, I for one found the plot to be a little predictable and maybe the book suffered from the same thing as the original Ender Saga, it just sort of went "out there" but was also a little bit tidy. No doubt if you invested in the first and second books, you'll want to finish the series off. I enjoyed it and found the concept of the series itself quite novel.
Happy to have chanced upon it thanks to Hoopla and I enjoyed listening to it. The reader did a commendable job.

If you read the first two
Might as well finish it up with the 3rd. Not as good as the first or second but it closes out this series while leaving a bit of opportunity for more. I think, according to the provided timeline at the end, that this book takes place within the universe of the authors other series “hunters legacy”. It would be interesting to see how that all fits together

A short read
I didn’t have anything else to read so I picked up this one. It’s a bit heavy handed. And the main character makes gigantic sweating judgements about everything. And makes unilateral decisions about entire cultures. With no apparent regard for self determination. And magically -pun not intended- everything works out. This book is an ok read but not something I’m dying to continue.

Another great series in this Universe
Thorn is a mage with super strong power. He's raised in a medieval village and jumps into the future for survival. He learns to cope with modern society and relearns his magic. He ends up in space and rescues a pilot from slavery. They trade their way through space to find the other 2 crew members sold into slavery.
Thorn's growth as a mage dramatically improves, and he worries that he can be corrupted by the power.

Here Come The Judge
Thorn is judge, mage and civilization builder. He drives himself nuts over the disappearance of several civilizations. It's handy to be the most powerful mage ever when it comes to doing something about it. I like the action and humor as well as pitting Thorn's superpower against the vagaries of time paradox. I would like to see more Thorn stories.

Fun 3rd installment of the spacemage series
I enjoyed this book, it was more light hearted than the others but wrapped things up nicely. While this brings the story to a conclusion, I hope to see more of Thorn in the future or the past, well its all future but you get what I mean.

A satisfying conclusion
I liked that even though Thorn is overpowered he is not perfect. He's often corrected and helped by the people in his life, especially Tasha and the girls. I disliked the major question mark left and being the third in a trilogy the answer eludes me. I can only hope a hint can be some of the author's other series.

Very Enjoyable
I really liked this Series of Books,because as Timothy stated it was a different kind of outlook. It was so interesting about the way he dealt with Thorn being the Main character and not having a main antagonist, which was Refreshing. I also liked the twists and turns of the storyline and other characters. Looking forward to Reading more of Timothy's work.

Very good trilogy
Book is hard to put down and stop reading. Thoroughly enjoyed the story and all of Thorn's adventures. Sorry to hear this is the end would enjoy reading more in this story line. Would like to see some of the Oracle's vision and wether they come true.

A complicated bow
Interesting enough this book ties up both the story of this Arc and then ties it into the other Hunter series books. It makes for some interesting contortion in the part of the writer but it all works fairly well in the end.

Good vibrations
I normally leave five star ratings for such books as The Lord of the Rings; but, this series is exactly what I enjoy. No duplicity. No artificial ups and downs. Just a good, old fashion story. It develops as it develops. Flows well. Leaves you feeling good.

All 3 books in the trilogy. I read all three in 2 and a half days and don't regret anything except that the trilogy is over. Go ahead and buy these books, and prepare yourself for hours of magic, space, and adventure.

Great Ties
This is a great trilogy, I didn't even know I wanted. It ties in with the Hunter Legacy series but it's not depended on its story line but nevertheless a great trilogy to relax and enjoy.

The main character is still as confused, conflicted and interesting as ever. The friends are still as good background as ever. The universe gets a lot more fleshed out and becomes much more comprehensible.
The time travel is worthy of Dr Who and the adventure is pretty exciting. It was fun to watch the MC try to figure out what could be changed in the past and what is a "fixed point" (in Dr Who speak). He has friends who do as much as good friends can but in the end, the MC carries the burden of decision making.
The universe isn't as simplistic at this point and this book suggests some nice possibilities for the future of this character. I think that I want to read where this story is headed.

Pretty good book, loved the previous ones. I gave it three stars because I could have done without the gun control nonsense. That started to ruin the book for me.
