Again, this book takes off the summer after the other one. And again, it at first glance feels like a typical teen horse book. And, just like the first one, it throws in a twist.
In this one we continue to follow the girl from the first book that has a new horse. And again the writer has a chapter in the beginning where we find out something horrible is about to happen...
And it works just as well in this book!
But what surprised me, and kiddo, was that the friendship in this book between a new girl in the stable that is SEVERLY bullied and the none-troubled girl from the earlier book... develops into a love story. Yep. We have two teen girls falling in love here! And it is done beautifully!
So a really nice story, with scary bullies (kids can be extremly cruel), horses new and old, envy, love and friendship.
