Never again by Angela Sanders

I was enthralled in this book, from start to finish. It easily drew me into the mystery and intrigue. This book was amazing, I really can't express how good it was. It's a standalone, with some gruesome parts. The whole time you're reading this book, the police are trying to figure out who is the serial killer. You'll never guess, the answer blew my mind. Dam, Angela Sanders has done it again, writing another amazing book with great characters, excellent story line, surprising twists, her talent amazes me, over and over again. Her attention to detail and ability too keep readers attention, has quickly made her one of my top two favorite Authors. When I'm going too read one of her books, I know I'm in for a big treat, so I sit back and enjoy the ride. Kudos to Angela for another, unbelievably superb read. I'm getting spoiled reading her books. I would recommend this book to anyone, in fact I'm calling my Mom about it tomorrow, I know she'll love this book. I'd say this is definitely a must read.

I received this ARC from the Author, the review is my honest opinion, after reading it.

Wow! This is truly a Good Creepy story. I listened to the audio book and the reader, Tawny Platis, takes the story to another level. This is the first book I’ve read of Angela Sanders. She is an author I am going to read more.

Strong female leads (there are 3) and a tension filled plot creates a great story.

I’ve not read any other of Angela Sanders’ books, but I love the covers, so I jumped at the chance to read one in the Death and Damages boxed set. Never Again is the one I found, and it starts with a gruesome scene of torture as a female homicide detective falls victim to her prey. But the story truly begins earlier when the protagonist assures her weeping mother that “I’m trained for homicide. I promise you, we will do everything we can to find this sick piece of …” And the story ends much later, nightmare piling on troubles by day, and post-traumatic stress added to the stress of further deaths and funerals. Meanwhile a stalker is watching.

The depiction of post-traumatic stress is convincing and scary, dreams and nightmares, panic attacks and more as the mystery deepens. Police make mistakes. Misleading clues distract. And the truth is darkly hidden. A scary psychological thriller.

Disclosure: I’m enjoying finding new authors in boxed sets.

I got into an adversarial relationship with my iPad — I would read this book till the iPad shouted battery warnings at me! A grisly serial killer with a penchant for scalpels tortures his victims and leaves slashed bodies on display with symbolic cuts. Detective Charlotte is hot on his trail till she becomes one of his victims ... but she manages to stay alive only to find he had just slashed up her parents. The perp is locked up, but a copycat starts killing Charlotte’s friends, one by one, building terrifying suspense as Charlotte and other police race to find the killer. I was NOT prepared for the ending! I had to go back and re-read the last chapter.
I received an advance copy of this book for my honest review. Until now, I’d read only Ms. Sanders’ paranormal books, so this was a double-shocker! Will I look at her only as a fantasy author? “Never again!” Whatever the genre, Angela Sanders never disappoints!

A Psychological Thriller with a Shocking Spin

What a great page-turner, where the past and the present are linked into a gripping narrative. Protagonist Charlotte Pierce is a homicide detective, who caught a ferocious serial killer, but the story takes a turn, and you are taken on cat and mouse diversion. It's loaded with twists and turns, guilt, revelations, secrets, and retribution. The multi-faceted female characters are strong and opinionated. The story is very intriguing and leads to an ending that will shock you to the core.

This is a new author to me, and I really loved reading this book. It’s a psychological thriller that is a lot of twists and turns and is full of suspense. The author has written a brilliant story that had me on the edge of my seat. No matter how much I tried I still ended up needing the author to tell me who the murderer was as I had no real idea. Looking forward to reading a lot more by this author.

A MUST for your TBR list! Fast-paced! Riveting! Exciting! Addictive! Not only is this a very well-written book with wonderfully-interesting characters, but the suspense builds at just the right pace as the story unfolds. It was an artful melding of twisted psychological thrills and nail-biting suspense that kept me guessing the whole way!

WOW I thought this was amazing.

I followed the story real close and the person that I thought was the killer---ended up not the one.

The book has a very nice twist at the end and I did not see it coming.

A enthralling psychological thriller. Charlotte is a detective who was almost killed by a serial killer, now behind bars. Her parents were killed when she was seven. A copy cat killer is on the loose. This is a novel that is hard to stop reading. A very surprise conclusion you will not see coming.

Detective Charlotte was in chains and a serial killer had her trapped in a basement. Where was her back up? How was she going to escape or was she going to be his next victim. He tortures her, using a knife to cut her over and over. She blacks out and next thing she knows she wakes up in the hospital four days later, only to be rushed to surgery again. She finds out the psychopath was behind bars but she has difficulty recovering. Then the killing starts again.

This is one amazing psychology rollercoaster. It gave me goosebumps and I had to read it in one sitting or I knew I would have dreams about it. The characters are interesting and well defined, and they seem to get into youth mind as you try to figure out what is happening. The writer does a fantastic job of building the suspense and keeping you on the edge of your seat. The storyline weaves the psychological elements and physical barriers into a fantastic triller which keeps you guessing until the very end. It is well written and if you like police dramas, psychological thrillers or just a great story then I highly recommend this book.

This is a different kind of story by Angela Sanders and I enjoyed it immensely. Charlotte Pierce is a New Orleans homicide detective and she is on the hunt for a serial killer who slices up his victims. She gets too close to the serial killer that she’s nearly his ninth victim. This is such a fantastic psychological thriller a roller coaster ride with plenty of twists and turns, I loved how strong Charlotte was instead of falling to her knees she picked herself up and had gotten on with the job. I couldn’t pick the killer so in the end it was a bit of a shock, keep up the great work Angela and I look forward to more of these stories from you. A fantastic story a 5 plus +++++ ⭐️ read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

Never Again by Angela Sanders
Wow! What can I say, I have just finished the book Never Again.
It is not my usual type of book but even though I found bits very descriptive which made me feel squeamish I also had to keep reading. There is a twist at the end I could have missed otherwise. I kept guessing all along who the killer was, wrong every time! Charlotte is in for a rough time and can’t close her eyes for fear of nightmares. Luckily she is surrounded by people who care for her. This is a well written roller coaster of a story that is difficult to put down. I was given this ebook but the review is entirely my own.

OMG ! Where do I begin. This book was amazing. From beginnning to end a joyride that leaves you reeling. The ending I never saw coming quite the twist. Char has me on her side ready for her to catch her killer and save the day. Wow what a way to end a book. First book of Angela's that I have read. Hooked new fan for sure.

Wow sums up this book. A detective is brutally attacked by a serial killer. Her life is not the same afterwards, she is struggling to get past what has happened to her. Then the killings start up again. Can she figure out who the copycat is before he gets her?? And then the unexpected happens, thought I had it figured out, but I was dead wrong.. Did not put this book down at all, had to read in one sitting. First book I have read from this author and definitely will not be my last!!

I'm sorry. I hate to not leave good reviews but I was skeptical of the book from the beginning. Just the way that the characters spoke seemed basic and not lifelike. Then it was very crass... lots of swearing and again just not how people really talk. The character development wasn't all there and it just didn't connect things well.

I would've left 2 or 3 stars because I was into it and read it in 3 days but I just can't handle the ending. It just wrapped up so quickly and so out of the realm of what would even seem normal. But there wasn't enough build up to make you think it could happen and then it just seems like it fell short at the ending. Again I hate to leave 1 star but the ending is what really did it in for me.

This psychological thriller held me in it's grip from the first page as I read about what happened to Charlotte as he chases a serial killer. Trying to get past her nightmares, she changes jobs and i on the mend until a copycat killer starts killing people close to her. This story kept me rivetted with red herrings that threw me off. The ending was a total shock. If you are a fan of psychological thrillers, I would recommend that you not miss this one. I received a free copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving my review.

She was almost the ninth victim of a serial killer when she worked for the homicide department. So she left that life behind to start a new one. A copy cat strikes near her and she will have to face the past once again. She may be in the line again. Can she stop this one? Can she stop them before they kill more? See how she gets on
