And Miki I can't wait too read more of your story we see you. Thanks for doing such a wonderful job. Keep up the great writing.
This is a collection of short stories. Some of them are off little tales, others are just short stories. I was hoping for scary or creepy since this is a Halloween anthology, but that just not the case. I'm not saying anything discouraging about these stories, they just aren't what I was hoping for.
This anthology has some great stories in it. They are just enough to wet your appetite and leave you wanting more! There is something for everyone whether you prefer creepy, steamy, or spooky. I hope the authors continue these stories because they were amazing.
Holy hell. This anthology has such a variety of stories that it's impossible to find one to not like. There's something for everyone! This is one of the best anthologies and group of authors I've seen to date. There's such a range of detail in each story catering to almost every variation of creature theme there is for Halloween. Absolutely thrilled to have the chance to read it and enjoyed each story immensely. I wont list specific authors stories simply because they all deserve their fair chance. Well done authors, well done.
This is a great Halloween anthology and all the stories are Halloween themed but all very different from each other
I have not reviewed all the stories but some of the ones that I enjoyed the most or stood out to me

I really enjoyed this story, Draven does well at his placement test to become an apprentice necromancer, but even after doing well with his training he decides to ignore the rules and go and try things on his own, but rules are there for a purpose. I love the storyline and with great characters this was an awesome read
I really enjoyed this anthology, a great set of stories and I highly recommend this anthology
Review copy kindly provided by the authors in exchange for a honest review
Whilst originally I picked this up to read a number of authors I already have previously read. I found myself devouring this whole anthology instead. If you loved to be haunted and want to get in the mood for Halloween . This anthology is perfect as there is plenty of that in this anthology. From Zombies to a gigolo Goblin, who knew that, was a thing. These characters are ready for you to get inspired for Halloween. I knew there was going to be some obvious favourites , however a lot of these new to me authors surprised me. The creepiness factor was through the roof and it definitely makes you want to check under your bed or watch your step. There something for everyone in this anthology and there might be some surprises if you are picking up this anthology for your favourite author as these authors have definitely delve into the dark parts of their mind to deliver some perfect Halloween stories. The creepiness factor is through the roof and be prepared for a scar or two. I’m hoping that a lot of these authors do return as they did leave the door open or introduced readers to a taste of their upcoming books. As I need more as one taste isn’t enough for me even though these stories delve into the dark side . As there plenty of potential series here and I can’t wait for .
Sorry no spoilers included because I absolutely dislike when people ruin the surprises that’s hidden within a book! So this is all I’m going to say and that some of these stories were very good and I’ll leave it at that! Like I said some were very good but some of them took me awhile to get into and some just didn’t make any sense. But all in all I did enjoy escaping into this Halloween Anthology and seeing what some authors thought to be scary. But yes I recommend these books to anyone who’s looking for a scary or slightly scary stories!
I really enjoyed this anthology, I've read some where I haven't been able to get through all the stories but as someone who enjoys both Halloween, twisted stories and paranormal this was great for me. I feel like there is something for everyone in here. Some of the authors this was a first read and I plan on continuing to follow and others are some I already know and love!
I finally realized that these anthros. are actually like test subjects before it could be released into the wild, per se. I thoroughly enjoyed some stories as opposed to others, nonetheless every story was good in their own way. With that said, I hope these different stories will be turned into a completed book or series as all of them left readers hanging. (I received an ARC for a review)
This was an awesome collection of short stories for Halloween. There is a little something in here to wet anyone’s appetite. From sexy, to sad, creepy, to downright scary. I’m looking forward to some authors turning these short stories in to full length novels.
This is a great collection of stories. With authors I already know of and love as well as some I've never read before, this is a wonderful way to read the authors I love while being introduced to new authors who are just as good. If you like halloween stories with a twist of romance and some possible sexy time, then this is the book for you!
Halloween is definitely my favorite holiday, and one of the reasons for that is Halloween anthologies! This one doesn't disappoint. There are so many authors and story compilations that you won't get bored. They are short, yes, but each story is unique and amusing. Did I like ALL of the stories? No, nor did I like ALL of the writing styles but thats fine because I didn't have to. The stories run the gambit, from gruesomely creepy to interestingly awkward paranormal sex scenes. The stories also have a huge plethora of creatures, I mean seriously, there is something for everyone in this book, like zombies, goblins, fairies, succubus, revenants, elementals, witches, dolls (cause we all know how freaky those things are as adults), hellhounds, and the list goes on. That, I think, is what I enjoyed the most of this anthology. I was never bored, no story was the same, and they all touched that little piece of halloween that I adore.
Oh man, this is a mix of some seriously amazing and spooky stories! These authors are great at their craft, and each story has its own brand of scary, bloody, ghostly spookiness with a large range of different things that go bump in the night and share my love of the Halloween holiday. Not every story is for everyone but there is such a range of styles, characters, and sexiness that you don’t know what will happen from story to story. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this anthology and look forward to reading other works by some of these authors!
What a great mix of short stories written by some amazing authors! I truly enjoyed each story and loved how different they all were. I'm really hoping a few might turn into full stand alone books so I'll be keeping an eye out for sure. Found a few new authors I've never read before which is always a plus with books like these. Take a chance and enjoy a little spook with your Halloween reads
Haunted House by KZ Riley - creepy but also sweet in a way. It could have used more character interaction throughout and less description, but I liked the story overall.
Couldn't Keep Her by Jenée Robinson and Ellabee Andrews - love these characters! I really want to read more of this as part of a series!
Goblin Gigolo by Adrienne Blake - quick, sexy, and surprisingly emotional book. The ending felt rushed to me but it's still a very fun read.
Moora Country Murders by LM Wilson - fantastic horror story! It's very creepy at times, and I love how little truth we actually know throughout the last chapter.
Ghost Girl by Riley Walker - this would have been better as a full-length novel, but I liked the plot a lot. It's just a shame that it's so short, it feels too fast-paced when it has the potential to be an amazing novel.
Shadows Anvil by Lily Griffin - I love the world of this book, there's so much detail in the history and supernatural culture! The action is really well written and plot is engaging. Really great!
Paid In Blood by Kayla Erickson and Jenica Saren - this was bloodthirsty and very spooky. I love the creepy atmosphere in this. An awesome Halloween story!
A Werewolf On All Hallows Eve by Nadine Travers - this could have used some editing, or at least a stronger beta reader. A few silly spelling and grammar errors take away from a promising story.
Asylum of Bone and Tears by K. B. Wheelock - a classic haunted house party story, with the excellent twist of it being a haunted asylum party. Starts off really fun, the characters are instantly likeable. It gets creepier throughout the story and leaves you wondering how much of it was real for the characters. Loved this!
Angeleika by Amara Kent - terrifying and wonderfully written, I really like the author's style. I personally really don't like dolls like the one in this story, so I found it particularly scary. Annabelle has nothing on Angeleika...
We see you by Miki and Garrett V. Ward - a fun ghost story with great action! All the characters are fun in a unique way, which is hard to do in a short story with so many leads.
Venus awakening by Sarah Louise - it's a shame this was only a short story, I could have easily devoured 300+ pages of this! It had a fun, interesting, twisting plot and awesome characters. Can't wait for part 2!
Floofballs From Hell by Sofia Ann Hoffman - this was a great combination of cute, bloodthirsty and mysterious with one hell of a cliffhanger! More please!
Amidst Witches by May Dawson - I found this really interesting as it was initially told in a different way, through the protagonist telling the story while on trial and then getting more present-tense details. It was a great story and I'd love to read more from this world.
The Dark Room by Erica Andrews - very chilling! I hope there's a sequel to this one, there's so much potential for more.
His Big Mistake by Brandi Bell - this started cheerier than the other stories, and ended much more serious. I'd love to see this one turned into a series. I also loved the fun raising chants, they were a nice touch to lighten a serious mood!
Nightmare by Beth Hendrix - this one was really unique! It's very fun to root for the bad guy as the protagonist. I'm definitely going to check out more of this authors work, especially as it looks like this one was a prequel.
Haunted House KZ Riley: Cute short necromancer story. Great Halloween romance with a raising the dead twist. Maybe she will expand this story later, that would be awesome! Can't Keep Her Janee Robinson and Ellabee Andrews: So good! Intriguing short story. Even though its a short I can see it all as a series especially how it left off. Great characters and great detail for a short story! Goblin Gigolo Adrienne Blake: Fun short about a goblin that sells his services, but incures trouble after being hired by a husband for his wife's birthday, to cover up his betrayal. Great. humorous short for Halloween. Moora County Murders LM Wilson: Great creepy story, very festive for this creepy time of year. This would also make an interesting series. Ghost Girl Riley Walker: Awesome ghost story.....I really want to know what is going to happen with April and Brad though!😊 Shadow Anvil Lilly Griffin: Great story, I would love to find out what is going to happen to Sadie in the future. I have a feeling she would have some interesting adventures. Paid in Blood Kayla Erickson and Jenica Saren: Great dark short for Halloween. Great collaboration by 2 awesome authors. A Werewolf on All Hallows Eve Nadine Travers: Good werewolf mates short. With a quick HEA. Asylum of Bones and Tears KB Wheelock: This was an awesomely creepy short story! Angeleika Amara Kent: Creeptastic and fantastically horror filled short story! We See You Miki & Garrett V. Ward: Fabulous ghost story with an RH twist! Venus Awakening Part 1 Sarah Louise: I am really glad this is only part 1. I can't wait to read more of Venus' story! Floofballs from Hell Sofia Ann Hoffman: Cute hellhound short story, fun read! Amidst Witches May Dawson: Great Salem witches and werewolf story! The Dark Room Erica Andrews: This is a bump in the night story! His Big Mistake Brandi Bell: Phenomenal necromancy coming of age short story, and could be a series if expanded. Great detail in this story. Nightmare Beth Hendrix: Great story! I really need to read more form this author, added all her books to my tbr list that are out!
Fantastic anthology by pretty fantastic authors. Fun, creepy and a great mix of stories, over all perfect for the Halloween season!
Overall this was a great anthology, and it was pretty well edited for grammar compared to other anthologies I have read.
Couldn’t Keep Her by Jenee Robinson and Ellabee Andrews (5 stars) I really hope this is the prequel to a new series. I finished and immediately went to check out other stories by these authors. I liked Jensen and her three guys. I want to know what happens next.
Goblin Gigolo by Adrienne Blake (3 stars) I wasn’t sure of this story at first, but after the first 2 chapters I got into the story and was rooting for Whipgud and Trixie.
Moora County Murders by LM Wilson This story isn’t a romance, it is a pretty gruesome murder horror.
Ghost Girl by Riley Walker (4 stars) This story is more Young Adult. I was rooting for April and Brad. This story does end with a surprise.
Shadows Anvil by Lilly Griffin (3 stars) The story started a little slow for me, with more narration than action/showing. After the first couple chapters I got into it and enjoyed Sadie’s story
Paid in Blood by Kayla Erickson and Jenica Saren. (3 stars) Mi-So is out for revenge. This is a kind of dark story.
A Werewolf on All Hallows’ Eve, by Nadine Travers. (2 stars) I felt this story had some dubious consent, and the relationship was told rather than shown.
Asylum of Bone and Tears by KB Wheelock (4stars) Creepy, spooky Halloween Story. Ended with a “what just happened” feeling.
We See You by Miki Ward & Garrett V. Ward (4 stars) This story was the steamiest of the ones I read. The story is also creepy.
Amidst Witches by May Dawson (4 stars) This is a new twist on the Salem Witch trials. This is a short quick read.
His Big Mistake by Brandi Bell (3.5 stars) Driven is just 18 and is going to be “tested” to see where he fits. This is a fun take on Zombies.

Book review of Shadows Anvil by Lilly Griffin ...
This was a great take on the Creation of the World leaving no Paranormal or non-paranormal race out! Then we jump into the future and the protection of the world against the humans technology, pollution and over population. Can it be done?

Book review of Paid In Blood by Kayla Erikson Jenica Saren ...
This was a fun take on an evil entity getting what they want while the human maybe getting what they want, or think they want. I'm guessing if this story was longer there would be much debauchery and regret from Mi-So.
**** This review relates ONLY to the short story Angeleika by Amara Kent ****
One step. Two step. Three step. Four step. I'm coming to get you...…
This story takes me back to horror stories told around a campfire or at a sleepover while shining the torch on your face for effect in the fact that it’s written in the third person.
It starts off innocuously enough with a husband/father, wife/mother and their daughter. To lull you into a false sense of security, Amara tells you about their life and their move to Peligro, California from Massachusetts. They’re a loving family, with not a worry in the world. They remind me a bit of the Brady Bunch. That is until Mr Morrison buys that damned doll for his daughters birthday.
It’s original in that, while we have seen Chucky and Bride of Chucky, I can’t say that I have seen or read a book where the clipping of nails is a factor in whether you get killed or not. That doll, Angeleika, is creepy as fuck. I love the fact that Amara slowly builds up the suspense and you don’t get the horror effect until the end when it’s slammed in your face. The creepy little smirk finishes the novella off perfectly. I’m secretly glad that I don’t have any daughters, only sons, so there’s no dolls around the house.
For Amara’s first foray into horror writing, I’d say she did a great job!
This review relates only to the story Couldn't Keep Her by Jenee Robinson and Ellabee Andrews. This was a great, fast paced, scary story, which left me craving for more, because the ending is just a brutal cliffhanger, and I am hoping that means the authors will continue the series. The plot is solid and consistent and there is a lot of potential to build more around it, before and after this story, and I sincerely hope the authors will do that. The main character is Jensen, a witch and an investigator from a special unit looking for missing women. She is strong, intelligent, and also stubborn, which ultimately got her into the mess she was in. Then there are her three team partners who are quite interesting. And the bad guy is something else. Super scary, ruthless, sadistic, and overall brilliant evil character. This is a great story and I highly recommend it.
I’ve read about half the stories and each is so different but rotate around Halloween. His Big Mistake is about a new necromancer and the big mistake he makes. A fun story with some grim humor. Venus Awakening is a hot reverse harem romance that I really hope there is more of. Shadow’s Anvil is a short story about a little girl who definitely is not human. From the feel of the book it is a good beginning to a interesting and adventurous paranormal story. Goblin Gigole is definitely different. Didn’t know you could make a sexy story with a goblin but it definitely was funny and hot. So expect a little bit of everything with this set of stories.
This was a really good Halloween anthology. It had several different stories with several themes and several writing styles. It has everything from terrifying to sexy and zombies to fairies. I didn't like every story, but that's what made this anthology so great. It has so many stories that there is bound to be something for everyone. And even though the stories were short, they were well worth the read.
I try not to put aside books- I'm a completist, and I tend to feel let down if I stop before the end. But this one just wasn't doing it for me. Most of the stories seemed derivative, and barely linked to the Halloween season. Additionally, there was clearly very little editorial oversight, with the stories plagued by misspellings and punctuation errors. With so many Halloween books on the market, this one is just for die-hards.
What a wonderful anthology of books to read to prepare for Halloween! I love the spooky factor of these. A lot of these are stand alone, but some of them look like they could be embellished on later on. I can't wait to see what comes out in the future!
Best collection of Halloween novellas ever! I had to but it since several of my fave authors are in but then I also had a couple that were new to me. Each story is great all by itself but putting them together really gets you in the holiday mood. Great for the season! I loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.
I very much enjoyed this group of stories. Imagine taking villains and dark characters from fairy tales and being them into this world. KZ Riley’s was short and sweet but fun!
Great book to get you in the mood for Halloween. The stories are short but great. Great collection of paranormal creatures and the feel of each story is different from the one before it. You wont regret this read.
I recieved a free copy of this book in exchange for leaving truthful reviews.
This was a great anthology. It was full of short stories that kept you on the edge of your seat. Some are more scary than others, but it was all great writing. I was introduced to some new authors to read too.
