Rumiko Takahashi is one of the wealthiest women in Japan. The manga she creates (and its anime adaptations) are very popular in the United States and Europe where they have been released as both manga and anime in English translation. Her works are relatively famous worldwide, and many of her series were some of the forerunners of early English language manga to be released in the nineties. Takahashi is also the best selling female comics artist in history; well over 100 million copies of her various works have been sold.
Though she was said to occasionally doodle in the margins of her papers while attending Niigata Chūō High School, Takahashi's interest in manga did not come until later. During her college years, she enrolled in Gekiga Sonjuku, a manga school founded by Kazuo Koike, mangaka of Crying Freeman and Lone Wolf and Cub. Under his guidance Rumiko Takahashi began to publish her first doujinshi creations in 1975, such as Bye-Bye Road and Star of Futile Dust. Kozue Koike often urged his students to create well-thought out, interesting characters, and this influence would greatly impact Rumiko Takahashi's works throughout her career.
Career and major works:
Takahashi's professional career began in 1978. Her first published story was Those Selfish Aliens, a comedic science fiction story. During the same year, she published Time Warp Trouble, Shake Your Buddha, and the Golden Gods of Poverty in Shōnen Sunday, which would remain the home to most of her major works for the next twenty years. Later that year, Rumiko attempted her first full-length series, Urusei Yatsura. Though it had a rocky start due to publishing difficulties, Urusei Yatsura would become one of the most beloved anime and manga comedies in Japan.
In 1980, Rumiko Takahashi found her niche and began to publish with regularity. At this time she started her second major series, Maison Ikkoku, in Big Comic Spirits. Written for an older audience, Maison Ikkoku is often considered to be one of the all-time best romance manga. Takahashi managed to work on Maison Ikkoku on and off simultaneously with Urusei Yatsura. She concluded both series in 1987, with Urusei Yatsura ending at 34 volumes, and Maison Ikkoku being 15.
During the 1980s, Takahashi became a prolific writer of short story manga, which is surprising considering the massive lengths of most of her works. Her stories The Laughing Target, Maris the Chojo, and Fire Tripper all were adapted into original video animations (OVAs). In 1984, after the end of Urusei Yatsura and Maison Ikkoku, Takahashi took a different approach to storytelling and began the dark, macabre Mermaid Saga. This series of short segments was published sporadically until 1994, with the final story being Mermaid's Mask. Many fans contend that this work remains unfinished by Takahashi, since the final story does not end on a conclusive note.
Another short work left untouched is One-Pound Gospel, which, like Mermaid Saga, was published erratically. The last story to be drawn was published in 2001, however just recently she wrote one final chapter concluding the series

Die Geschichte um Supertaro am Anfang war der Höhepunkt, das um Ukyo und die Okonomiyakisauce war auch in Ordnung. Aber sowohl Kuno als auch Happosai in einem Band ... puh.

Mi ero dimenticata di Collant Taro? Com'è possibile?! Un personaggio dal nome più assurdo non è mai esistito!
La storia della salsa di Ukio invece è stata divertente. Da un lato c'è Ranma che non può dire che la salsa l'ha rovinata lui; dall'altro Ukio che cerca in tutti i modo di approfittare del cambiamento (temporaneo) di Ranma.
A pensarci bene, non dev'essere mica un buon partito Ranma...
Sono entrata in una piccola reading slump e mi ci vorrà un po' per uscirne. Ho accettato una supplenza da diciotto ore e la cosa mi ha mandato un po' fuori giri. Anche perché lavorare a scuola per me vuol dire perdere il sonno. Andare a nanna tardi perché non riesco a convincermi ad andare sotto le coperte. E svegliarmi prima della sveglia perché ho l'angoscia di non sentirla. Un cane che si mangia la cosa in pratica.

Después de leer Las indignas sentí que me iba a costar comenzar otra novela (me pasa cuando leo algo que me gusta mucho; me cuesta salir de la historia, se queda durante un tiempo en mi cabeza), así que le dije a mi hija: y ahora qué leo? Y me dió el tomo 10 de Ranma que retiramos el sábado de Nekrozma (tienda de mangas y cositas lindas). Me pidió que lo leyera así podíamos comentarlo. Por suerte le hice caso. Creo que es uno de los tomos que más me hizo reír. Tanto me gustó que lo empecé ayer a la noche y lo terminé hoy por la mañana. Espero que este año salgan más seguido el resto de los tomos porque estoy ansiosa por completar la colección.

Già iniziava benissimo con la storia super folle di Collant-Taro, ma poi Kuno che dimentica la memoria e Kasumi e Akane che se ne escono con “poverino, si é rincitrullito” “non mi sembra una novità”. UCCISA HAHAHAHAHA
Ma poi Nabiki. Io la amo giuro, qualsiasi cosa dice o fa è una hit😂

Per la prima parte del volume è un grande NO. La storia di Collantaro è noiosa (dovessi mai leggere un altro “guh” non rispondo di me). Noiosa anche la storia dell’uomo cocomero.
Le stelle sono state assegnato unicamente per la storia della salsa dei dieci anni, Ucchan è sempre perfetta.

C'è un nuovo pericoloso nemico vittima anche lui delle fonti maledette che si trasforma in un mostro potentissimo ed è in cerca di vendetta. Ma verso chi? E perché? Quando rapsice Akane, Ranma insieme a Ryoga, Mousse e Shampoo interverranno per salvarla ma non sarà facile battere il mostro. È una parte piena di azione e il personaggio di Collant Taro mi è piaciuto tantissimo: ha un design che mi piace molto ma anche la sua storia è davvero ridicola e divertente, l’ho adorato! C’è poi il ritorno del senpai Kuro che ha perso la memoria durante un allenamento intensivo, ma nel suo cuore amerà sempre e comunque Akane e la ragazza col codino. Abbiamo poi Ukyo che entra in crisi per via di una salsa venuta a male e Ranma la consolerà. Per la ragazza è la volta buona di andare oltre con la loro relazione, ma Ranma sarà d’accordo? E Akane? Un bel volume, mi è piaciuta sopratutto la parte di Collant Taro ma anche la parte con Ukyo è divertente con tutti i casini che Ranma e Akane creano per poter allontanare la ragazza senza ferirla (e come lei sfrutti la situazione a suo vantaggio...).

Justo promediando la serie llega la saga de Tarado Pantyhose, una de las cosas más graciosas e ingeniosas de esta gran serie. ¿Qué bicho faltaba para completar la lista de animales bizarros ahogados en Jusenkyo? Un yeti montado en un buey que llevaba una grulla y una anguila, claramente. Encima, esa genialidad sólo abarca la primera parte del tomo. La segunda mitad se complementa con una seguidilla de historias cortas que no se quedan atrás como El hombre sandía de la playa, La salsa de 10 años o Los muñecos de papel del amor.
Redondeando el tomo como siempre, la Violentografía dedicada al personaje de turno (obviamente Taro) y las entrevistas de Ranma al desnudo donde Rumiko no se puede hacer querer más.
