~ In the Highlands, the course of true love always has to surpass obstacles. ~
It is the year of our Lord 1356. A war that will last one hundred years ravages across the Kingdom of France.
Doogle of the Clan Macleod, comes to France to fight alongside the French. Stubborn and brave he plans to return to the Highlands upon defeating the English.
Beautiful Louise Duroc, a farmer's daughter, although educated knows little from the outside world. Meeting Doogle intrigued her as he is similar to her beloved father. Strong, compassionate and focused on his beliefs.
Finding each other is not enough. They will also have to save each other from destiny’s traps, in the midst of war.
Can love blossom or will fate rip them apart?
This is a tale of love, friendship and the will of a man to claim the woman he loves.
"Highlander's Stolen Love" is a standalone historical romance novel of approximately 80,000 words. No cheating, no cliffhangers, and a guaranteed happily ever after.
Very entertaining!!! The interaction of the secondary characters kept everything exciting. When Louise is kidnapped, the way everyone pulled together to find her, was the very center of what family is all about. Great book!!!!!
This writing was beautiful, the imagery was poetic. Amongst war there is love to be found. A love worth fighting for. Even when an evil suitor tries to come between those in love, love will prevail.
I really loved this story. Strong male and female characters. Wonderful love story. Strong family relationships. Great sibling rivalry. Truly vile villains. Didn't care for the heroine to be vilified twice.
The descriptions of the characters and the countryside and the events all tie into an amazing story and Turney with numerous twists couldn't wait to turn the page excellent story
A very interesting story about a man and his clan in a war in France. They lost this war but the young man found this young lady who help him get back on his feet. I give this story a four star rating because of this story about finding love.
It was nice to catch up with the Macleods. Doogle’s adventure is enjoyable. Love does not run smoothly for him and Louise and they have several set backs. Lots of interesting details.

Thus book is part of a series, and The Author does a great job of explaining the relationships between the clansmen! Can be read as a standalone.
Loved the book📑! Vistas in France an Scotland are described with loving clarity, and The reader is transported there to become inside the story, along with the characters!
Alisa Adams is one of my favorite authors. In this book I got to revisit many of my old favorite friends from her earlier books. While perhaps not my favorite of her books, this book was an enjoyable read and made me feel as if I was a part of Alistar’s and Mary’s clan. I felt as if I was watching their sons, Brice and Doogle, as they encountered life’s twists and turns. This story centers on their middle son Doogle and the trials he faces as he finds his own true love. A very good read.
Just discovered I'd failed to officially jettison this. I honestly don't remember when I bailed but the fact I was barely into it yet already had ten notes on aggravating blunders sent me running. I'd clearly have a stroke if I allowed myself to suffer the whole book.
Ridiculous vocabulary. Bizarre typos. Clearly, a writer who can't, and no editor in sight. Argh.
